Olli-Pekka Kallasvuo is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Nokia as of June 1, 2006. Olli-Pekka joined Nokia in 1980 as Corporate Counsel, and has held roles of increasing responsibility since that time. In 1987 he was appointed Assistant Vice President, Legal Department, and in 1988 he was named Assistant Vice President, Finance. In 1990 he was promoted to Senior Vice President, Finance. In 1992, Olli-Pekka was named Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. In 1997-1998 he served as Corporate Executive Vice President, Nokia Americas, being responsible for all Nokia’s business operations in the Americas. He returned to the position of Chief Financial Officer at the beginning of 1999, the position he had held prior to moving to the United States. From 2004-2005 Kallasvuo was Executive Vice President and General Manager of Mobile Phones. On October 1, 2005 he was named President and COO before his appointment to the current position. Olli-Pekka has been a member of the Group Executive Board of Nokia since 1990. On April 1, 2007, Olli-Pekka was appointed Chairman of the Board of Nokia Siemens Networks. In May 2007, Mr. Kallasvuo was nominated as member of the Board of Directors at Nokia. Starting January 2009, he will also serve as a Member of the Board of the Confederation of Finnish Industries EK. He holds a master’s degree in law from the University of Helsinki. Starting November 1, 2008 Esko Aho is Executive Vice President, Corporate Relations and Responsibility. He heads Nokia's government and public affairs function, which includes the policies and activities for sustainable development and social responsibility. Esko is a member of the Nokia Group Executive Board. Prior to joining Nokia, Esko has enjoyed a long and distinguished career serving Finnish society and politics, holding the post of Prime Minister of Finland from 1991 to 1995. After the 2000 presidential campaign, he joined Harvard University as a lecturer, and following his retirement from the Finnish Parliament, he worked as a private consultant. Esko was appointed President of the Finnish Innovation Fund, SITRA, from July 1, 2004. Esko was elected to Parliament in 1983, serving on several key committees, including the Grand Committee, the Foreign Affairs Committee, and the Finance Committee, as well as serving on the Nordic Council and the Finnish Delegation to the Council of Europe. He has also been Vice-Chairman of Liberal International from 1994 to 2002, Chairman of the Finnish Ski Association from 1996 to 2000, and Vice-Chairman of the Finnish Olympic Committee from 1997 to 2000. More recently, Esko was appointed a Member of Board of Directors at Russian Venture Company from January 2007. He also serves as a Member of the Board at the Nordic power company Fortum Corporation since March 2006. From January 1, 2009 he will be Vice Chairman of the Board, Technology Industries of Finland. Starting January 1, 2008, Robert Andersson is responsible for finance and strategy in the newly established Devices unit, a role which also covers responsibility for Nokia-wide sourcing. He is a member of the Nokia Group Executive Board, a position held since 2005. Robert has a long career at Nokia, having joined the company in 1985. He has held a number of managerial positions in the former Nokia Data, Nokia Consumer Electronics and more recently at Nokia’s mobile phones businesses, working in Finland, Sweden, Switzerland, and Singapore. From 2005-2007 Robert was Executive Vice President of Customer and Market Operations organization, with responsibility for Nokia’s sales organization as well as manufacturing, logistics and sourcing for the entire range of Nokia devices. In 2004, Robert was appointed Senior Vice President of Customer and Market Operations in Europe, following a position from 2001-2004 as Senior Vice President of Nokia Mobile Phones in the Asia Pacific region. In 1998, Robert was Vice President of Sales for Nokia Mobile Phones in the Europe and Africa region. Between 1985 and 1998, Robert held various positions within Finance & Control. During 2003-2004 he headed Nokia Research Center, a corporate research unit driving Nokia’s technological competitiveness and renewal. Prior to this role, he held several senior management positions in the former Nokia Networks. He holds a master’s of science degree from the University of Oulu, Finland and a Ph.D degree from Delft University of Technology, The Netherlands. Tero was born Nov 12, 1966, in Korsnäs, Finland. He is married and has three children, and he enjoys reading, sports and spending time with his family.

He joined Nokia in 1993 as Manager for Dealing & Risk Management. In 1999, after a 3 year period away from the company, he rejoined Nokia and was appointed as Director of Corporate Finance, and in 2000 was named Vice President Finance, Corporate Treasurer of Nokia Corporation, Group Treasury. He served as Corporate Treasurer until summer of 2004. Prior to joining Nokia, he worked as Analyst in Asset and Liability Management for the Kansallis Bank, Helsinki and from 1996 to 1999 he worked for Citibank Plc as Vice President of Nordic Derivates Sales. Timo graduated from Helsinki School of Economics and holds a degree of Master of Science (Economics) and Licentiate of Science (Finance), having completed all doctoral courses in Finance. During her twenty years at Nokia, Ulla has held several finance and marketing positions in Finland, UK and US. Bengt Robert Holmstrom is the Paul A. Samuelson Professor of Economics and the former Head of the Department of Economics at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He holds a joint appointment with MIT's Sloan School of Management. Professor Holmström, 58, has made seminal contributions to the theory of the firm, particularly in the areas of contracting and incentives, corporate governance, corporate finance and the supply of liquidity, including its implications for asset pricing. Professor Holmström is an elected fellow of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, the Econometric Society, the European Economic Association and the European Corporate Governance Institute and an elected Foreign Member of the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences, the Royal Swedish Engineering Society, the Finnish Society of Sciences and Letters and the Finnish Academy of Sciences and Letters. He is a Research Associate of the National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER) and a member of the executive committee of the Center for Economic Policy Research (CEPR). He has held numerous editorial and professional positions and given many named lectures, most recently the Raben lecture (2007) on “Corporate Governance in Context” at the Yale Law School. Professor Holmström holds a doctorate from the Graduate School of Business at Stanford University (1978) and honorary doctorate degrees from the Stockholm School of Economics, Sweden, the Swedish School of Economics and Business Administration, Finland and the University of Vaasa, Finland. He has previously been Associate Professor at the Kellogg Graduate School of Management, Northwestern University and the Edwin J. Beinecke Professor of Management at the School of Management, Yale. Professor Holmström is a member of the board of directors of Nokia Oyj (telecom), Kuusakoski Oy (recycling) and the Finnish Business and Policy Forum (EVA).
