Dr. David Soule is the Associate Director of the Center for Urban and Regional Policy at Northeastern University, where he conducts research on urban economic issues and tax policy. He also teaches in the Political Science department. He is a former officer of the Board of Directors of ARS. He is also the primary resource for the Regional Futures Institute of the National Association of Regional Councils. He recently stepped down as the Executive Director of the Metropolitan Area Planning Council (MAPC) after over 15 years of service. As the Chief Executive Officer of the Council, he was responsible for a budget that exceeded $8 million and a staff of more than 80 professional and support personnel. During his tenure, he oversaw the development of MetroPlan, a comprehensive plan for the future of the Boston metropolitan area. Prior to joining MAPC, Soule served as the Executive Director of the Nashua Regional Planning Commission in Nashua, New Hampshire for 7 years. From 1971 to 1980, he served as Deputy and Planning Director of the Capitol Region Council of Governments in Hartford, Connecticut. In April 2003, Mr. Soule completed his Ph.D. in the Law, Policy, and Society program at Northeastern University, and has a Bachelor's degree from Trinity College. Soule is also the primary staff for the New England Initiative, serving as a Senior Research Associate for the Initiative at the Center For Industrial Competitiveness, at the University of Massachusetts at Lowell.

Chryssis holds BS and MS degrees in Electrical Engineering from Northeastern University. Chryssis has over twenty years of combined engineering, business and entrepreneurship experience. He has founded and/or co-founded three successful venture-financed high technology companies, fostering various business and technological innovations, while offering employment opportunities to many. He also founded and managed an early-stage venture capital firm, with holdings in several promising high-tech companies. Chryssis has extensive experience and a proven track record of how to start, finance, manage, grow and successfully exit companies. Besides his business expertise, Chryssis is involved in several educational, community, charitable and civic organizations. He is a Trustee at Northeastern University and Wentworth Institute of Technology, a noted philanthropist and a successful author. Chryssis has published several business, technical and general articles in trade magazines, newspapers and journals. He has also published five books, some of which have been translated and published in other languages. For his entrepreneurial, business, civic and leadership activities he has received many coveted awards and recognitions and has been profiled in several mass media publications.

As the Director of Estimating, Mr. Williamson has more than 20 years of experience at Walsh Brothers in construction estimating, cost projection and on-site management. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering from Cornell University and is a member of the American Society of Professional Estimators and the American Institute for Architects. Mr. Williamson is a faculty member at Northeastern University in the Building Design and Management program and has been active in the Boy Scouts of America as a Scoutmaster.

H. Fredrick Bowman, Ph.D., President, Chairman & CEO, is the inventor of the Company's technology, and co-founder of Hemedex. Dr. Bowman is also the Senior Academic Administrator at the Harvard-MIT Division of Health Sciences and Technology, and a lecturer on Radiation Oncology at Harvard Medical School. He has served for 25 years as a member of the Mechanical and Biomedical Engineering faculties at Northeastern University, and as Program Director for Biomedical Engineering at the National Science Foundation. His principal research interests include microprocessor-based instrumentation for the quantification of perfusion, thermal properties and cardiac output, bioheat and mass transfer based problems in clinical research, thermal physics of hyperthermia, and thermometry. He is the author of over 120 publications and abstracts.

John N. Hatsopoulos is chief executive officer of American DG Energy Inc. Headquartered in Waltham, Massachusetts, American DG Energy is the leading on-site utility offering electricity, heat, hot water and cooling to commercial, institutional and industrial facilities. Mr. Hatsopoulos is also chief executive officer of Tecogen Inc., a leading manufacturer of natural gas, engine-driven commercial and industrial cooling and cogeneration systems. In addition, Mr. Hatsopoulos is chairman of GlenRose Instruments Inc., a company that provides radiological and environmental services, as well as managing partner of Alexandros Partners LLC, a financial advisory firm. John Hatsopoulos is one of the founders of Thermo Electron Corp. (currently Thermo Fisher Scientific) and the retired president and vice chairman of the board of directors. Thermo Fisher Scientific is a leading provider of analytical and monitoring instruments used in a broad range of applications, from life sciences research to telecommunications, food, drug and beverage production. Mr. Hatsopoulos joined Thermo Electron as purchasing agent in 1956; in 1963 he became president of the company’s metals division, and was named vice president in 1970. Seven years later, he was appointed vice president of corporate strategy, handling acquisitions, financial and investor relations, and corporate investments. Mr. Hatsopoulos became senior vice president of Thermo Electron in 1984, and executive vice president of the company in 1986. In 1988, he was appointed chief financial officer and executive vice president of Thermo Electron, and was named president in 1997. Also in 1997, he was elected to the board of directors of Thermo Electron. He served as vice president and chief financial officer for Thermo Electron and all of its public subsidiaries from 1988 until 1998. John Hatsopoulos innovated and implemented numerous financial strategies that became the focus of worldwide interest. His spinout strategy resulted in 24 public companies and Thermo Electron and its subsidiaries were able to raise close to $5 billion of capital. Mr. Hatsopoulos graduated from Athens College in Athens, Greece, in 1953. He holds a BS in history and mathematics from Northeastern University, together with honorary doctorates in business administration from Boston College and Northeastern University. He served on the board of directors of the American Stock Exchange from 1994 through 2000 and the AMEX Nominating Committee from 1990 to 1994. He is currently a member of the board of directors of TEI BioSciences Inc., Antigenics Inc. and AmericanCare Source Holdings Inc., and a “Member of the Corporation” for Northeastern University.

Joe Tucci is Chairman of the Board of Directors, President and Chief Executive Officer of EMC Corporation. Tucci has been EMC's Chairman since January 2006 and President and CEO since January 2001, one year after he joined the company as President and Chief Operating Officer. Since his arrival at EMC, Tucci has led EMC through a period of dramatic revitalization, continued market share gains, and sustained double-digit growth. He has transformed EMC's business model from what was a near exclusive focus on high-end storage platforms to what is now the industry's most comprehensive portfolio of best-of-breed platforms, software, services, and solutions that enable organizations to implement information lifecycle management, aligning their IT infrastructure with their business based on the changing value of their information. Today, EMC operates with a balanced product portfolio in which software and services generate more than 50% of its annual revenues and hardware less than 50%. EMC has evolved with its market from an information management and storage company to a provider of open information infrastructure. Concurrently, he has spearheaded the investment of more than $4 billion (since 2003) in strategic software acquisitions aimed at filling out EMC's product portfolio, entering new market segments, and expanding the company's addressable market opportunity. Over this period he has strengthened EMC's management team with the integration of executives from other major technology companies. In addition, he has championed EMC's use of Six Sigma to improve its business processes and engaged employees in the Total Customer Experience, EMC's commitment to consistently exceed customers' expectations for quality, service, innovation and interaction. Acknowledging EMC's rejuvenation, the editors of Business Week named Tucci one of Corporate America's best senior managers of 2004. Before joining EMC, Tucci directed the financial and operational rebirth of Wang Global during six years as its Chairman and CEO. At Wang, he guided the company through a rapid and successful emergence from Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection and transformed the company from a midrange computer manufacturer into a worldwide leader in networked technology services and solutions. Under his leadership, Wang acquired and integrated ten companies from 1995 through 1999, and its market capitalization more than tripled. In June 1999, Wang was acquired by Getronics NV. Prior to joining Wang in 1990, Tucci was President of U.S. Information Systems for Unisys Corporation, a position he assumed after the 1986 merger of Sperry and Burroughs that created Unisys. He began his career as a systems programmer at RCA Corporation and holds a bachelor's degree from Manhattan College and an MS in Business Policy from Columbia University. Tucci is a member of the President's Council of Advisors on Science and Technology (PCAST). He is one of 150 CEO members of The Business Roundtable and the former chairman of its Task Force on Education and the Workforce. He is one of nine chief executives who steer The Technology CEO Council, the IT industry's leading public policy advocacy organization, and is a member of the Executive Committee of TechNet, a network of CEOs who work to advance the U.S.'s global leadership in innovation. In addition, Tucci is a member of the Board of Directors of Paychex, Inc., a member of the Board of Advisors of the Carroll School of Management at Boston College, a member of the Board of Overseers of Northeastern University, a member of the Advisory Board of Tsinghua University, in Beijing, China, and an Overseer, Boston Symphony Orchestra.

Professor Ken Baclawski is the Chief Technical Architect and Co-Founder of Semantx Life Sciences. Professor Baclawski is the inventor of our patented indexing method, and is involved in consulting on knowledge management and the Semantic web, including work on the Defense Agencies Markup Language (DAML). Professor Baclawski is a tenured professor of Computer Sciences at Northeastern University.

Prior to AptSoft, Ken Hale was CFO at Wheelhouse starting in September 2001. With more than 20 years experience gained at technology and communications companies, he brought to Wheelhouse a proven track record of incisive financial management and solid operational expertise. Hale joined Wheelhouse from NaviSite, which he helped grow from a start-up with 20 employees to a public company with 600. Hale guided NaviSite through a successful $88 million IPO and acted as a key liaison to investment bankers, analysts, and strategic partners. In addition to his role at NaviSite, Hale was general manager and CFO for two other emerging CMGI portfolio companies. Prior to NaviSite, Hale was CFO and Treasurer of Media/Communications Partners, one of the largest telecommunications and media venture capital firms in the U.S. Hale started his career at Ernst & Young, where he was a senior manager in the Emerging Business Group with responsibilities for both audit and tax services. Hale is a Certified Public Accountant and earned an MBA from Northeastern University and a BA in biochemistry from Colgate University.

Dr. Lewis is a co-founder of the company and a specialist in multi-drug resistance and drug discovery. He is Professor and Distinguished Research Fellow at Northeastern University. Dr. Lewis is the co-inventor of the method for growing unculturable bacteria that forms the core of NovoBiotic's intellectual property.

Kimberlie E. King, Ph.D. is a multilingual licensed psychologist, and a graduate of Wellesley College, the University of Massachusetts, and Northeastern University. She is affiliated with Westwood Lodge Hospital where she has worked with children, adolescents, and adults. Dr. King is a member of the American Psychological Association and the Massachusetts Psychological Association.

Dr. Pykett is President and Chief Operating Officer for Boston Life Sciences, Inc. Previously, Dr. Pykett was President, CEO and Director for Cytomatrix, LLC, which he cofounded in 1996 and President of Cordlife, Pte. Ltd., of Singapore, which acquired Cytomatrix in 2003. Dr. Pykett graduated Phi Beta Kappa, Summa Cum Laude from Amherst College, holds a veterinary degree, Phi Zeta, Summa Cum Laude, and doctorate in molecular biology from the University of Pennsylvania, and received an M.B.A. degree Beta Gamma Sigma from Northeastern University. He completed post-doctoral fellowships at the University of Pennsylvania and Harvard University. In his research in academia, Dr. Pykett focused on understanding the molecular basis of cancer. Dr. Pykett held an adjunct faculty position at the Harvard School of Public Health from 1997 to 2003.

Meredith Stewart has extensive experience training athletes at the professional, elite, & youth level. After a stellar soccer career at Holliston High School, where she was named the Boston Globe Div. II Player of the Year and to the ODP Regional Team, Meredith received her AB in Biology from Harvard University. At Harvard, she played on the Women's Soccer team which won two Ivy League titles and advanced to the Elite Eight of the NCAA Tournament. Following graduation, Meredith worked at several private strength and conditioning facilities and also was an intern at Boston College and Boston University. Along with her coaching responsibilities at CATZ, Meredith continues to be actively involved in coaching soccer. She presently serves as an Assistant Coach for the Northeastern University Women's Soccer Team. Meredith earned a Master of Science degree in Applied Anatomy and Physiology from Boston University. She is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (National Strength and Conditioning Association).

Ron Hedlund has worked in higher education since receiving his Ph.D. in Political Science from the University of Iowa in 1967. In that year, he began a 22-year stint on the faculty of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, eventually reaching the rank of full professor and holding a variety of administrative appointments. In 1989, he became Vice Provost for Research and Service at the University of Rhode Island, where he implemented a major reorganization of the research and sponsored projects unit and shepherded a doubling of extramural funding to $53 million. Ron left URI in 1996 to become Vice Provost for Research and Graduate Education at Northeastern University in Boston, an appointment he held until September 2004. At Northeastern, Ron spear-headed the development of nine new research institutes including Molecular Biotechnology, Nanomanufacturing, and Race and Justice and oversaw an 88% increase in external funding for research and sponsored projects, a 92% increase in NSF-reported R&D expenditures, and a 14-fold increase in licensing and royalty income. Additionally, Ron has been active for more than 20 years in the national associations for research management and graduate studies, including the Council of Graduate Schools, for which he has taught a workshop in program review for the past six years. A specialist in legislative operations and policy-making, Ron is the author or co-author of numerous publications, including three books, 14 book chapters, and two anthologies. He is Professor of Political Science at Northeastern University.

Dr. Epstein is a co-founder of the company; his specialty is environmental microbiology. He is an Assistant Professor of Biology at Northeastern University. Together with Dr. Lewis, Dr. Epstein co-invented the method to grow unculturable microorganisms. Dr. Epstein developed innovative methods for enumeration of marine microorganisms, their in situ study and their molecular diversity.

Dr. Margaret Cozzens earned her Master of Science and PhD degrees in mathematics from Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in mathematics and English at the University of Rochester. Midge has been committed to education and workforce development through the various iterations of her career. She began as a high school mathematics teacher at Olympia High School in Greece, New York, outside of Rochester. Prior to coming to the Knowles Science Teaching Foundation, she served as President and Chief Executive Officer of the Colorado Institute of Technology for three years. In between, Midge taught at the State University of New York at Geneseo, Rider University, Rutgers University, and Northeastern University, where she also served as Chairperson of the Mathematics Department. In addition, she served as Division Director at the National Science Foundation for the Elementary, Secondary, and Informal Education Division between 1991 and 1998, and as Vice Chancellor for Academic and Student Affairs at the University of Colorado at Denver from 1998-2003. Midge is the author of five books and over 75 papers and articles on mathematics and K-20 mathematics, science and technology education policy. She served on the President's Task Force on Teacher Education for the American Council on Education, and co-chaired the Third International Assessment in Mathematics and Science repeat study (TIMSS-R) Technical Review Panel. Midge was appointed to the Board of Directors of the Economic Club of Colorado, Wings Over the Rockies Air and Space Museum, the National Renewable Energy Laboratory Education Division, Beyond Books Publishing Company, and numerous editorial boards. She is currently co-Director of the Math-Bio Project, based at Rutgers University, an instructional materials and professional development project for high school teachers of mathematics and biology to encourage the teaching of cross-disciplinary math/bio topics related to the genome project and bioinformatics, epidemiology, and ecology.

Bob is Chairman of Mintz Levin, a member of the firm's Policy Committee and practices from the firm's Boston office. He practices in the Litigation Section, and previously served as its Chairman. Bob's distinguished legal career in the public and private sector spans three decades. He has always placed a premium on not only representing his clients to the best of his considerable abilities, but also devoting his singular energy to civic causes. After his early days as a law clerk to a federal judge, he became a Special Assistant Attorney General and was appointed as a United States Commissioner (later known as United States Magistrate Judge). Bob was also an instructor at Boston University School of Law, and a guest lecturer at various law schools. Later he assumed the role as Chairman of Mintz Levin and now has a reputation as one of the region's premier trial attorneys. He has been recognized by the National Law Journal as one of the country's top 100 lawyers for nine consecutive years, has been featured in the American Lawyer as one of the country's "heavy hitters," and is continually listed in The Best Lawyers in America. In civic as well as legal matters, preparation and commitment have long been Bob's trademark. As part of his commitment to the community, he has served on the boards of the National Conference of Christians and Jews, Massachusetts Mental Health Research Corporation, Catholic Charitable Bureau, Glover Memorial Hospital, the American Cancer Society, and the United Fund of Massachusetts Bay. He is also a member of the Board of Overseers of Northeastern University, a member of the Board of Advisors of Birmingham Business School, a Trustee of Boston College, a former Trustee of Newton Country Day School, a member of the Executive Committee of the Massachusetts Business Round Table, and served as chair of the 2003 "Presidents at Pops" benefit concert. Bob was chairman of the task force of the Boston Bar Association that worked with leaders of the Bar, justices of the various courts and the business community to formulate a plan to reform the Massachusetts court system, a plan that was enacted into law. He was a Vice President of the Association and served on the Bar Council. Bob's stature in the field of legal services rests in no small part on the diligent preparation and ingenious strategy for which he is renowned, and on his sound business advice. He represents major corporations and their CEOs and well known political and media figures throughout the country. He lectures widely in the law and continues his studies to remain abreast of the latest legal developments, while finding time for the civic service he pursues so ardently. Bob is admitted to practice in Massachusetts and the District of Columbia and is a member of the American, Massachusetts, District of Columbia, and Boston Bar Associations, as well as the Practising Law Institute. He is also a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers. He received his A.B. from Northeastern University (1958), and his J.D. from Boston College Law School (1961).

CHARLES K. GIFFORD (66), Former Chairman, Bank of America Corporation, Charlotte, North Carolina. He served as Chairman of the Corporation from April 2004 until January 2005. Prior to that time, he had served as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of FleetBoston since 2002. He also served as President and Chief Executive Officer of FleetBoston from 2001 to 2002 and President and Chief Operating Officer from 1999 to 2001. He has been a director of the Corporation since April 2004 and is a member of the Asset Quality and Executive Committees. He also serves as a trustee of NSTAR and a director of CBS Corporation.

Gail Snowden is the Vice President for Finance and Operations at the Boston Foundation. Gail oversees the finances and administrative operations of the $650 million community foundation as a key member of the senior management team. She is a veteran of the banking industry and a nationally recognized leader in urban community development. Gail's contributions to the legacy banks of Fleet and BankBoston have been many, including the awarding of "Outstanding" Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) ratings at the banks, the White House Ron Brown Award for Advocating for the Needs of Minority and Low-income Constituents, and pioneering bold new initiatives, such as Fleet Community Bank. Gail served in many capacities through the bank's numerous mergers, including her membership on Fleet's Leadership Advisory Group. She developed and led the community investment efforts at BankBoston and Fleet which resulted in the formation of a nationally recognized, specialized retail and investment arm, the Community Investment Group, with a targeted focus on urban, low-income communities and minority- and women-owned businesses. Gail serves as an emeritus chair of the Freedom House Board of Directors and has served on several other boards, including those of Boston Foundation, Northeastern University, Simmons College, the Efficacy Institute, and the Initiative for a Competitive Inner City. She has received numerous awards, including the Rosoff Diversity Award, honorary doctorates from her alma mater, Simmons College, and several other colleges. She was named one of the nation's Top Business and Professional Women by Dollars and Sense magazine, one of 50 African-American Women at the top in corporate America by Ebony magazine, and one of Boston magazine's 100 most influential women.

Jeffrey S. Bornstein is chief financial officer of GE Commercial Finance and is a member of GE's Corporate Executive Counsel and GE Capital Board. GE Commercial Finance provides financial products and services in 35 countries including Commercial Real Estate, Aviation Leasing, Corporate Finance, Energy and Healthcare Finance along with mid-market lending and leasing. Mr. Bornstein joined GE in 1989 as part of the GE Power Systems' Financial Management Program. In 1992 he joined the GE Corporate Audit Staff and then became Executive Audit Manager. He became chief financial officer for GE Aircraft Engine Services in 1996 and vice president in 1998. In the next three years GE Engine Services became the number one jet engine service provider in the world and its revenues grew from $1.5 billion to $5 billion. In 1999, he was promoted to chief financial officer of GE Plastics. Mr. Bornstein is a director for the Visiting Nurse and Hospice Care of Southwestern Connecticut, and he is on the Board of Northeastern University and serves on its Audit Committee. He has also been involved in a number of youth programs. He participated in the national Junior Achievement program by teaching economics to seventh and eighth graders in economically challenged areas, and he is involved in several projects and fund raising events for Kid's Place, an outreach program for abused children. Mr. Bornstein received his B.S. in Business Administration from Northeastern University.

Mr. Wohler has twenty-five years of experience in operations management, strategy development and implementation, consulting, and interim management. Mr. Wohler has provided consulting and interim management to consumer products, digital printing, medical imaging, and industrial products companies. Mr. Wohler began his career at Polaroid working in photographic film manufacturing and development. While at Polaroid he managed several restructure and crisis management projects. He managed a $200 million business unit through a turnaround and restructuring program that successfully eliminated a $40 million/year operating loss. As a senior executive in Research & Development, he led several new product programs through development and commercialization. As part of Emergence Consulting, Mr. Wohler provided pre-acquisition due diligence strategic consulting to support the acquisition of a US adhesive and digital imaging products company by Chargeurs, a French manufacturing conglomerate. He provided strategic consulting to DuPont to help develop a technology licensing program in their Global Polyester Business Unit. At Business Creation North America, he developed a post acquisition business plan for a medical imaging components company acquired from Philips Electronics. Mr. Wohler was the interim CEO of a $12 million drapery manufacturer where he managed a turnaround and exit strategy for the investment group. Mr. Wohler is a member of the Industrial Advisory Board at Northeastern University, School of Engineering and a trustee of the Walpole Computer Foundation, a non-profit that supports computer literacy in education. Karl holds an MBA from Babson College and a BS in Chemical Engineering from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.

Marc Wallace is the former President of the Strategic Alliances Division for Novations Group Inc. In that capacity, he helped clients to maximize organizational effectiveness and reduce enterprise-wide training costs by forming partnerships where Novations served as a single provider supporting complex company-wide human resource and strategic initiatives. He has more than 30 years' experience in general management, strategic planning, sales, marketing, and executive consulting. Mr. Wallace has personally consulted with corporate executives from Fortune-500 companies throughout the United States and the United Kingdom. He has experience in a wide range of industries including retail, manufacturing, health care, banking and finance, and telecommunications. Prior to his leadership role with Novations, Mr. Wallace was Group President of the Performance Solutions Group for Provant Inc. now owned by Novations consisting of BT Novations, Decker Communications, and J. Howard & Associates. Mr. Wallace joined J. Howard & Associates in 1983. His background also features several senior positions at the Dow Chemical Company. In addition, Mr. Wallace serves on several boards including Admiralty Corporation, Belmont Hill School, Northeastern University, and the board of advisors at the First Community Bank in Boston. Mr. Wallace earned his M.B.A. with a Finance concentration at Central Michigan University, and his B.A. in Mathematics at Adams State College. He is a certified motivation and performance trainer.
