Northern Power Systems

Darren R. Jamison joined Northern Power in February 2004 as the executive vice president of operations, was named chief operating officer in 2004 and succeeded to president in 2005. Prior to joining Northern Power, Mr. Jamison was employed by Stewart & Stevenson, an industrial distribution and manufacturing company. Mr. Jamison held a variety of positions during his 12-year career at that company, last serving as the vice president and general manager of the distributed energy solutions division. In this position, he led the development of a bundled distributed energy solutions business. Mr. Jamison holds a B.A. from Seattle University.

As Vice President of Products for Northern Power, Jonathan Lynch is leading the overall development and implementation of emerging technology at Northern Power. Mr. Lynch is responsible for the identification and development of new technology to aid in Northern Power's growth across its business areas. In his 22 years with Northern Power, Mr. Lynch has taken an active role in all aspects of power system design (1 kW to 1.5 MW), including both mechanical and electrical subsystems, and has a strong knowledge of high-reliability, hybrid power systems and distributed generation technology. He has directed numerous R&D programs funded by agencies such as NREL, NSF, and NASA. Prior to joining Northern, Mr. Lynch was employed as a Design Engineer at Carrier Corporation, modeling and designing high performance refrigeration systems for transportation applications. Mr. Lynch graduated with honors from Stevens Institute of Technology in 1978 with a BSME degree.

Dan W. Reicher joined Northern Power Systems as executive vice president in February 2002. Founded in 1973, Northern Power Systems is the oldest renewable energy and distributed generation company in the U.S. With offices in Vermont and California, Northern Power Systems designs, builds, and installs ultra-reliable power systems that utilize wind, solar, natural gas and hybrid fossil-renewable technologies. The company has installed over 700 systems in 40 countries on all seven continents.

With 25 years experience of providing equipment and services to the Oil & Gas, Power Generation and Water Treatment industries. Mr. Brannen has extensive experience in Latin America. Before joining Northern Power he was employed by Severn Trent Services and was involved in expanding their worldwide organization including Europe, the Middle East and Asia. He was a Peace Corps Volunteer in Paraguay and is a graduate of Texas A&M University.

Laurie Baird worked for 15 years at Johnson Electric?s North American headquarters in Shelton, CT before joining Northern Power as the Vice President of Finance in 2003. At Johnson, Ms. Baird served as Chief Administrative Officer of North American Operations, and was responsible for the financial services group that included the company?s accounting, IT, legal, environmental, tax, insurance, customs/duty, M&A support and corporate areas.

Shelby Ahmann joined the Northern Power team in 2006 when Northern acquired Crown Engineering & Construction's service group. Mr. Ahmann was one of the founding members of this company and Vice President for nearly 10 years. He was chiefly responsible for the successful growth of the distributed energy business in California and the Northwest, building more than 25 small scale DG projects with Crown and starting the operations and maintenance group which was later acquired by Northern Power. Prior to joining Northern Power, Mr. Ahmann was heavily involved in the energy industry, holding positions across the field in engineering, construction, and operations. Mr. Ahmann attended Washington State University, 1992 and studied business and engineering.
