As Chairman of the Board, Larry Gottesdiener spearheads Northland?s contrarian market and valued-added investment strategy. Since 1991, his entrepreneurial spirit and vision have been the guiding force behind the company?s successful expansion from a start-up multifamily residential owner and operator to a fully integrated diversified real estate investment and operating company. Over a 15-year career, he has been responsible for more than $2 billion of real estate acquisitions and developments. His proven ability to maximize value in real estate and his acumen in navigating market cycles have been critical to Northland?s success. Previously, Larry was Director of Acquisitions at MB Associates, a national real estate company based in Boston. Prior to that, he was an attorney at Dewey Ballantine in New York. Larry has a B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania and a Juris Doctor from Boston University School of Law, where he was editor of the Law Review and a G. Joseph Tauro Distinguished Scholar.

Mark oversees all aspects of the company's day-to-day operations including property management, finance, accounting, human resources and marketing. He holds primary responsibility for implementing Northland's business plan. Mark joined the company in 1994 as Vice President, Controller, became Senior Vice President of Finance in 1999 and assumed the role of Chief Operating Officer in 2004. Prior to joining Northland, Mark was the Controller for Spaulding and Slye, a real estate services and investment company in Boston, Massachusetts. Before that, he was with the Boston office of Ernst & Young. He holds a B.S. from Bentley College and an MBA from Babson College. Mark is a member of the Real Estate Finance Association and has served as a panel speaker on capital markets and real estate finance issues.
