Robert O. Bonow, MD, is Chief of the Division of Cardiology at Northwestern Memorial Hospital & Co-Director of the Bluhm Cardiovascular Institute. Dr. Bonow was the President of the American Heart Association (2002 - 2003).

A pioneer in computer-assisted minimally invasive surgical techniques, Dr. S. David Stulberg is universally recognized as being one of the world's top orthopaedic surgeons. He has taught, influenced, and inspired thousands of physicians and surgeons from all over the world. He serves as Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine and is the founder and director of the Joint Reconstruction and Implant Service at Northwestern Memorial Hospital. He is a member of the Hip Society and the Knee Societies of America, a co-founder of the International Society for Technology in Arthoplasty, a founding member of the International Society for Computer Assisted Orthopaedic Surgery, a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgery, and a member of the Board of Directors of Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago. Dr. Stulberg is also the co-author of hundreds of professional publications on arthritis and joint reconstruction of the hip and knee as well as the co-author of the book Arthritis of the Hip & Knee: The Active Person's Guide to Taking Charge. He lectures frequently on these topics in America and abroad. He earned his medical degrees from the University of Michigan School of Medicine and served his residency in orthopedic surgery at the Harvard University Combined Orthopaedic Residency Program. The proud father of three he also recently gained the title of grandfather Dr. Stulberg and his wife, Jann, live in Chicago. His hobbies include marathon running and traveling the world.

Alan H. Kadish, MD, is Senior Associate Chief of the Cardiology Division at Northwestern University in Chicago, Illinois. He is also Director of Electrocardiology and Director of the Cardiovascular Clinical Trials Unit at Northwestern Memorial Hospital. A graduate of Columbia University, Dr. Kadish completed his MD at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Following an internship and residency at the Brigham & Women's Hospital, he completed a fellowship in cardiology at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Kadish has been the principal investigator or co-investigator on numerous clinical and NIH-funded trials spanning a wide spectrum of cardiology topics including atrial fibrillation, exercise, and electrophysiology diagnostics. He has published hundreds of peer-reviewed articles and abstracts, as well as numerous book chapters and reviews. He serves on the editorial boards of several cardiology journals including the Journal of the American College of Cardiology and the Journal of Cardiovascular Electrophysiology.

Gary Noskin, MD serves as Medical Director of the Infection Control and Prevention Department at Northwestern Memorial Hospital as well as their Healthcare Epidemiologist. In addition, he is the director of the Northwestern Memorial Epicenter, a CDC sponsored Prevention Epicenter, and an associate professor of medicine at the Feinberg School of Medicine, Northwestern University. At Northwestern Memorial Hospital, Dr. Noskin is Chairman of the Committee on Infection Control and Prevention, the Multidrug Resistant Organism Committee, the Antibiotic Formulary Committee and the Patient Safety Committee. He is a member of the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee, Medical Staff Quality Management Committee, and Risk Management Committee, and also serves on the board of directors for Northwestern Memorial Home Health Services. Dr. Noskin was selected by his peers to be included in the current editions of The Best Doctors in America and The Best Doctors in Chicago . He has published over 80 peer-reviewed articles and book chapters on the subject of infectious diseases and is also the editor of a recently published book, Management of Infectious Complications in Cancer Patients. He is board certified in internal medicine and infectious diseases.

Dr. Jeffrey Goldberger obtained his B.S. from M.I.T. in 1980 and his M.D. from Albert Einstein College of Medicine in 1984. He is currently the Director of Cardiac Electrophysiology at Northwestern Memorial Hospital, and Professor of Medicine at Northwestern University.

With over 30 years of experience in all aspects of dermatology, Dr. J.B. Pinski has earned a reputation of excellence in his field. In addition to his private practice, he also serves as an attending physician at Northwestern Memorial Hospital and Associate Clinical Professor of Dermatology at Northwestern University Medical Center in Chicago. Although experienced in all areas of dermatology, Dr Pinski strongly focuses on cosmetic dermatology and specializes in hair transplantation and bald scalp reduction, as well as dermabrasion. A noted expert in his field, he has lectured at conferences and meetings for dermatologists both nationally and internationally. Formerly, he served as Assistant Attending Staff and Lecturer for the Department of Dermatology at Rush-Presbyterian St. Luke's Hospital in Chicago. In addition to writing his own book, "Hair Replacement," Dr. Pinski has written a half dozen dermatology textbook chapters and numerous papers for prestigious publications spanning the last three decades. Dr. Pinski received his Medical degree from the University of Illinois College of Medicine in Chicago. He served an internship at Brooke General Hospital and his Dermatology residency at the University of California and Letterman General Hospital in San Francisco, California. A Major in the United States Army, he was chief of Dermatology at the United States Army Hospital in Heidelberg, Germany.

Dr. Giegerich is a board certified orthopedic surgeon with a focus on foot and ankle surgery, in addition to general orthopedics. On staff at The Neurologic & Orthopedic Hospital of Chicago, Dr. Giegerich is also an assistant clinical professor at Northwestern University Medical School 's department of orthopedic surgery, and he is a member of the medical attending staff at Northwestern Memorial Hospital .

Dr. Kraff is committed to advancing new technologies in the field of ophthalmology and helped to pioneer laser vision correction. He is a member of the Optical Express International Medical Advisory Board (IMAB) and of various affiliated bodies and societies such as the International Society of Refractive Surgery and the American Academy of Ophthalmology. Dr. Kraff is actively involved in research projects relating to laser vision correction and in February of 1991, as part of a five-site, United States FDA clinical trial team, Dr. Kraff successfully performed the first excimer laser procedures in the Chicagoland area using the VISX Excimer Laser. Dr. Kraff and the Kraff Eye Institute have devoted their practice to specializing in laser vision correction and continue to be the lead United States investigative site for all VISX LASIK FDA clinical trials, performing the very first hyperopic LASIK and Wavefront-guided custom treatments. He actively lectures and teaches doctors throughout the world and is one of three primary Physician excimer laser trainers in the United States and has a teaching appointment at Northwestern University Medical School and is an Attending Physician at Northwestern Memorial Hospital. He is the author of many academic papers and publications and is highly sought after to give professional and scientific presentations across the world. His dedication to his profession and patients is evident from his vast clinical experience and attendance at seminars and conferences as speaker and delegate.

Dalila is a Technical Analyst at Northwestern Memorial Hospital where she has been working since 1998. She sits on the Equality Illinois Board of Directors and has served as the co-chair of the Equality Illinois Gala. Additionally, Dalila has worked with the Lesbian Community Cancer Project, raised funds and volunteered for Howard Brown Health Center, and volunteered at the Women's Health Department of Northwestern Memorial Hospital. Dalila is also a former member of the National Women's Junior Hand-Ball Team of Algeria.

Robert Sufit, M.D., director of the Lois Insolia ALS Center, is a board-certified neurologist who joined the Center in 1992. He is a Professor of Neurology and is very active in clinical research trials for ALS. Prior to coming to Northwestern, he was Co-Director of the Muscular Dystrophy Clinic and Director of the Muscle Histopathology Laboratory at the University of Wisconsin, where he worked closely with Benjamin Brooks, M.D. He also served as Chief of Rehabilitation Medicine Service at Middleton VA Hospital in Madison. He received his B.A. and M.A. in chemistry from Johns Hopkins University and his M.D. degree from the University of Virginia. Scott Heller, M.D. received his medical degree from the Abraham Lincoln School of Medicine at the University of Illinois and completed his neurology residence at Northwestern University's Feinberg School of Medicine. He then spent two years at the Jerry Lewis Neuromuscular Research Center at Washington University Medical Center in St. Louis, Missouri. He has been with the Center since it opened in 1986. He is a board-certified neurologist and associate professor in the Department of Neurology and Pediatrics at Northwestern University and is an attending physician at Northwestern Memorial Hospital.

Dr. Benson is the executive director of the Depression and Anxiety Specialty Clinic of Chicago. He is a licensed clinical psychologist in the state of Illinois and a Certified Affiliate with the Academy of Cognitive Therapy (ACT). He earned his Bachelor's degree in psychology from the University of Wisconsin at Madison. He later earned his M.S. and Ph.D. from the Institute of Psychology at Illinois Institute of Technology. He has over 10 years of experience working with adults and adolescents in a variety of settings and now specializes in cognitive-behavioral treatment of anxiety disorders and depression. Dr. Benson also is currently a Staff Psychologist and Assistant Professor at Northwestern Memorial Hospital and The Feinberg School of Medicine at Northwestern University in Chicago. In this role, he trains and supervises clinical psychology interns in cognitive-behavioral therapy. Prior to joining the staff at Northwestern, he worked as a psychologist for the Special Education District of Lake County, Illinois (SEDOL), where he counseled adolescents and performed academic and achievement assessments for students in special education.

Scott Heller, M.D., received his medical degree from the Abraham Lincoln School of Medicine at the University of Illinois and completed his neurology residence at Northwestern University's Feinberg School of Medicine. Serdar E. Bulun, M.D. is the George H. Gardner Professor of Clinical Gynecology, Friends of Prentice Distinguished Physician in Obstetrics and Gynecology and Director, Division of Reproductive Biology Research at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. Dr. Bulun also serves as co-leader of Women's Cancers and co-leader of the Breast Cancer Research Program at the Robert H. Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center at Northwestern University, and is a staff physician at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago, Illinois . Dr. Bulun is certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG) in obstetrics and gynecology, as well as in reproductive endocrinology and infertility. Regarded as one of the world's most innovative and effective translational researchers among his generation of physician-scientists in obstetrics and gynecology, Dr. Bulun has made substantial contributions to the understanding of reproductive endocrinology and particularly to the role of aromatase and COX-2 in the pathophysiology of endometriosis. Among other noted achievements, he was the first to describe the full aromatase gene structure and was the first to successfully introduce aromatase inhibitors into the treatment of endometriosis. Since 2003, Dr. Bulun has been serving as the Director of The Division of Reproductive Biology Research at Northwestern University. Currently, five independent investigators and approximately 40 research scientists work on translational research related to steroid biochemistry, endometriosis, uterine fibroids, women's cancers and implantation in this new Division that he founded at Northwestern University. Dr. Bulun is involved in many multicenter clinical studies as principal or co-investigator, and serves/has served as a regular member or ad hoc reviewer on numerous National Institutes of Health (NIH) and Department of Defense Breast Cancer Research Program scientific review panels, including: Integrative and Clinical Endocrinology and Reproduction (ICER); Reproductive Endocrinology (REN); Biochemical Endocrinology (BCE), and other Special Emphasis Panels; Center for Inherited Disease Research (CIDR); Tumor Micro-environment (TME) Study Section; NCI-P01 (breast cancer); Specialized Centers of Research (SCOR) on Sex and Gender Factors Affecting Women's Health; and, Endocrinology Review Panel. Dr. Bulun currently serves on several editorial boards including: Journal of Clinical Endocrinology and Metabolism; Steroids; and, Seminars in Reproductive Medicine. He is also a publication reviewer for numerous international journals such as New England Journal of Medicine (NEJM), Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA), Journal of Clinical Investigation, Lancet, Cancer Research, Clinical Cancer Research, Molecular Endocrinology, and the American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology, among others. An elected member of the American Society for Clinical Investigation (ASCI), the Society for Gynecologic Investigation (SGI) and the American Gynecological and Obstetrical Society (AGOS), Dr. Bulun has served as an invited expert, program chair, board examiner (Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility) and/or speaker at more than 50 international and national symposia, conferences, workshops, courses and meetings, and his work has resulted in more than 100 publications worldwide. Dr. Bulun earned his doctor of medicine from Istanbul University School of Medicine in Istanbul, Turkey. He was trained as a resident in pathology at the University of Arizona College of Medicine in Tucson . Subsequently, he completed a four-year residency training in obstetrics and gynecology at State University of New York at Buffalo followed by a subspecialty fellowship in reproductive endocrinology and infertility at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, Texas . Robert L. Parkinson, Jr., age 58, is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Baxter, having served in that capacity since April 2004. Prior to joining Baxter, Mr. Parkinson was Dean of Loyola University Chicago's School of Business Administration and Graduate School of Business from 2002 to 2004. He retired from Abbott Laboratories in 2001 following a 25-year career, having served in a variety of domestic and international management and leadership positions, including as President and Chief Operating Officer. Mr. Parkinson also serves on the boards of directors of Chicago-based Northwestern Memorial Hospital and the Northwestern Memorial Foundation as well as Loyola University Chicago's Board of Trustees.

Thomas A. Cole, Chair of the Executive Committee of Sidley Austin, LLP, has been named as the incoming Chairman of the Board of Directors. Cole has served as a member of Northwestern Memorial HealthCare's and Northwestern Memorial Hospital's boards of directors since 1993 and 2000 respectively. He also has chaired the hospital's Professional Standards Committee, which provides oversight for the hospital's quality and patient safety programs. Northwestern Memorial Healthcare's current chairman Edward Liddy steps down in January 2008. Liddy is chairman of Allstate until his scheduled retirement in the spring of 2008.

Mr. Patel is Chairman, President and CEO of Hartmarx Corp. ("Hartmarx") (NYSE: HMX) a producer and marketer of business, casual and golf apparel under its own brands. Mr. Patel has been with Hartmarx since 1979, progressing through various roles to his current position in July 2004. Prior to Hartmarx, Mr. Patel was with Corbin, Ltd., an apparel company, where he was Director of Marketing. Mr. Patel serves as President of the Clothing Manufacturers Association of America, Chairman of its Union Negotiating Committee, and Chief Labor Negotiator for the industry. He is also a member of the board of directors of the Amalgamated Life Insurance Company and Trustee of the UNITE HERE Pension and Health Funds. Mr. Patel also serves as an advisory Board member of Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management and the University of South Carolina School of Retailing. He is a Trustee of the Jane Addams Hull House in Chicago and the Lake Forest Country Day School. Mr. Patel also serves on the board of the Boys and Girls Club of Chicago, the Chicago Botanic Garden and Northwestern Memorial Hospital. Mr. Patel graduated from Columbia University with an M.B.A. in marketing and finance.

Ms. Callan is a partner at Mandell Menkes. She focuses her practice in the areas of medical malpractice, insurance coverage, commercial and product liability litigation in state and federal courts. Ms. Callan has represented Chicago area hospitals and physicians in several medical malpractice trials. She has also represented insurers and policyholders in multi-million dollar coverage disputes. Ms. Callan has also defended a variety of product liability cases involving hydraulic punch presses, electric saws and automobile seat backs. Ms. Callan has lectured frequently to various health care organizations on topics involving legal and ethical considerations, such as informed consent and advance directives. She also regularly lectures European reinsurers on topics including punitive damages and mold and gun litigation. She has published articles on the defense of mold litigation and the Emergency Medical Treatment and Active Labor Act. She is a member of the Defense Research Institute and the Auxiliary Board of Northwestern Memorial Hospital. Ms. Callan is admitted to practice in Illinois and Wisconsin, and before the United States District Court for the Northern and Central Districts of Illinois and the Eastern and Western Districts of Wisconsin and the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit.

Larry Richman is President and Chief Executive Officer of PrivateBancorp, Inc., and The PrivateBank-Chicago, a wholly owned subsidiary of PrivateBancorp. Additionally, he is a member of the Commercial Club of Chicago and the Bankers Club of Chicago.

Sandra L. Helton. Sandra L. Helton has been Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of TDS for more than five years. Ms. Helton is also a member of the board of directors of TDS and TDS Telecom. Ms. Helton is a director of The Principal Financial Group, a global financial institution, and Covance, Inc., a drug development services company.

Trisha Hutchison joined Boyden in 1996 and serves as a Principal for the Chicago office. She is a member of Boyden's consumer products, industrial, and diversity practices. Trisha leads searches across a broad spectrum of industries including branded and private-label packaged goods, durable goods, services, media and advertising, catalog and direct mail, and technology-enabled companies. With over 14 years of experience in retained executive search, Trisha's work is focused at the CEO, COO and Division President levels and on key functional reports including Vice Presidents of Marketing, Finance, Sales, Human Resources, and various Senior Director Positions. Ms. Hutchison has also consulted on issues regarding compensation, strategic and succession planning, and employee evaluation. Prior to joining Boyden, Ms. Hutchison worked as a Vice President for a recruiting firm, which specialized in information technology. W. James McNerney has been appointed to the Board of Directors. McNerney is chairman of the board, president and chief executive officer of the Boeing Company, overseeing the strategic direction of the Chicago-based $61.5 billion aerospace company. Prior to Boeing, McNerney was chairman of the board and chief executive officer of 3M where he began work in 2001 after completing 19 years of service at the General Electric Company.

William Osborn is General Partner of Commons Capital LP, a "double bottom line" venture capital fund investing in private companies with significant growth potential whose products, services or corporate cultures promote a sustainable economy by delivering market solutions to social and environmental problems. The fund is an active investor in small companies in the environment, clean energy, healthcare and education markets. Mr. Osborn is also a special partner with Arete Corporation, a venture firm managing investments in the telecommunications, software and energy industries. Prior to that he was a principal at Venture Investment Management Company, LLC (VIMAC), a Boston group managing "angel" investments in early stage companies. There Mr. Osborn focused on renewable energy and healthcare opportunities. Mr. Osborn has been an entrepreneur in the environmental and energy field, founding and managing an electric vehicle distribution subsidiary for a major utility company and starting a green business development and consulting firm. Earlier he co-managed a venture capital fund for automaker BMW and was a management consultant with Arthur D. Little, where he led a consulting practice involved with new energy technologies. Before his consulting work, Mr. Osborn practiced law and managed a state government office promoting solar energy. He also was a staff attorney at Ralph Nader's Center for the Study of Responsive Law, where he authored The Paper Plantation, a book about the environmental and social impact of the pulp and paper industry on the state of Maine. Mr. Osborn sits or has been on the boards of several start-up and expansion-stage companies, including Evergreen Solar, Inc. (photovoltaic modules), World Power Technologies, Inc. (power quality instrumentation), Surgical Sealants, Inc. (surgical wound products), Fingerlakes Aquaculture LLC (recycled-water aquaculture), and Conservation Services Group (energy efficiency services). He is a founding Trustee of the Domini Social Equity Fund and a Board Member of Investors' Circle, where he has also chaired the Selection Committee that chooses companies to present to members for investment. He has also been President of the Brookline Foundation, a local education foundation raising private funds for public school teacher development. He has a BA from Princeton University and a JD from George Washington Law School.
