He has been founding CEO of multiple biopharmaceutical companies in the Domain portfolio including Cytovia, Acea, Novacea, NovaCardia, Novalar, Orexigen, Domain Antibacterial Acquisition Corporation, Ascenta, Ocera, Syndax, Tragara, Tobira, Sonexa and Calixa. He currently serves as interim CEO of Sonexa and Calixa, two seed-stage biopharmaceutical companies. He is Chairman of the Board at NovaCardia, Orexigen, Ocera, Ascenta, Tobira and Syndax. He was Chairman of Peninsula until it’s sale to Johnson & Johnson in 2005, Chairman of Cerexa until it’s sale to Forest Laboratories in January 2007, and a Board member of Conforma and Cabrellis until their sales to Biogen-IDEC and Pharmion, respectively. In addition, he is a board member of DiObex and BioVascular, Inc. Until 1995, Mr. Weber was a tenured Professor of Pharmacology at the University of California at Irvine. He has over 20 years of drug discovery and development experience and has been a consultant to biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies. He is the inventor or co-inventor of over 40 patents and patent applications, and he has published over 130 papers in scientific periodicals.

Mr. Blair has been a General Partner of Domain Associates since its founding in 1985. He has over thirty years experience with venture and emerging growth companies. In the course of this experience, he has been involved with the creation and successful development as a board member of over forty life science ventures including Amgen, Amylin Pharmaceuticals, Applied Biosystems, Aurora Biosciences, Dura Pharmaceuticals, Sicor, and Molecular Dynamics. A former Managing Director of Rothschild Inc., Mr. Blair was directly involved at a senior level with Rothschild/New Court venture capital activities from 1978 to 1985. From 1969 to 1978, he was associated with F.S. Smithers and Company, and White Weld and Company, two investment banking firms actively involved with new ventures and emerging growth companies. From 1961 to 1969, Mr. Blair was an engineering manager with RCA during which time he received a David Sarnoff Fellowship. Mr. Blair is presently an Advisor to the Department of Molecular Biology at Princeton University, an Advisor to the Department of BioEngineering at the University of Pennsylvania, and he also serves on the Board of Directors of CapCure.

Dr. Healy has served as a member of the Board since April 1999 and served as the interim Chairman of the Board from October 1999 through January 2000. Dr. Healy joined Sofinnova Ventures in June 2000 as a general partner and managing director. From January 1998 through March 2000, Dr. Healy was a partner at Sanderling Ventures. During 1997, Dr. Healy was supported by a Novartis Foundation bursary award and performed research at Brigham and Women's Hospital.
