Mark Potts is an HP Fellow and chief technologist for management software in the HP Software division, where he is responsible for technology and portfolio strategy. Prior to joining HP, Mark was the founder and chief technology officer of Talking Blocks, which HP acquired in 2003. Talking Blocks provided software products for managing service-oriented architectures and web services. Mark has more than 12 years of industry experience in areas that include architectural design and innovation for large-scale system development in Australia, Europe and the United States. He has led work in new industry technology and standards for SOA, web services and grid technologies, including the Business Transaction Protocol, Web Service Distributed Management and Web Service Resource Framework specifications. He is a regular speaker at conferences in the United States and Europe and is on the editorial board of Web Services Journal. Mark holds a Bachelor of Science degree in computer science from Brookes University, Oxford, England.

Kevin Shaw leads KPMG's Identity Management and Privacy competencies for ASPAC. Based in Australia, he is responsible for coordination and delivery of information security solutions to international clients in more than 12 countries. Over the past 10 years, Kevin has been involved in developing security strategy, and the implementation of security solutions, including Identity Management solutions, Enterprise Security Frameworks and Architectures, Information Security Management Services and the delivery of Privacy advisory services and solutions. He is a regular speaker at Privacy and Security conferences, has been quoted widely in the media, and recently was a major contributor to the best seller "Mapping Security" - The Corporate Security Sourcebook for Today's Global Economy by Tom Patterson. He is a frequent participant and contributor to industry bodies such as the APEC Electronic Commerce Steering Group (ECSG) Privacy sub committee, the International Association of Privacy Professionals, the Liberty Alliance, and the Australian National Consultative Committee for Security.

Mark Toomey is Australia's leading independent advisor in corporate governance of information and communication technology, as set out in Australia's world-leading standard AS8015. With thirty years experience in planning and delivering ICT solutions that enable business performance, he now specialises in providing governance, management and strategic advice to business and IT executives and company directors who need to assure themselves that their business change and ICT activities are appropriate, under control and producing appropriate outcomes. Mark is a Senior Member of the Australian Computer Society, and a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. He is the Institute's representative on Standards Australia's committee controlling the Australian Standards for Corporate Governance of Information and Communications Technology. He was heavily involved in the development of the head standard AS8015 (published Jan 2005), and as a committee member has oversight of the development of further standards for the governance of ICT in projects (AS8016 under development), ICT in operations (AS8017 under development), ICT Service Management (AS8018 already published), and other related standards. He publishes "The Infonomics IT Governance Letter", and has spoken extensively on the topic of IT Governance, for the Australian Institute of Company Directors and many IT interest groups.

Silas has over 25 years' experience defining and marketing enterprise software. Prior to joining Approva, Silas was Vice President of Product Marketing for best-selling directory management product at a large NASDAQ-listed software vendor. There, he was was responsible for the full development lifecycle from requirements definition through product launch of their enterprise directory management software suite. Silas has held various positions in product management, product marketing, and sales for companies including Visual Mining, Novadigm, Legent, Computer Associates, VM Software/Systems Center, Johnson Systems, and Software Design Inc. Silas has extensive experience in systems management disciplines ranging from security to network management to operations and resource management. Silas has a M.B.A. and B.S. in Marketing from Virginia Tech.
