Pierre Rouleau, prior to joining the AutoFarm team, served as the General Manager and CEO of Cultiva, Inc., created in 2001 to bring an alternative approach to Guidance Systems in Agriculture. Cultiva and Novariant merged in August of 2005. Pierre Rouleau brings over 25 years of experience in Agriculture. He started as a Crop Duster pilot and owner of one of the predominant businesses in the field. He helped developed advanced GPS Guidance Systems for Aerial Application as a need for his business in the early nineties. He created Pestechcon, Inc. to market the AgNav Guidance System, still thriving today. Mr. Rouleau joined Satloc, Inc. of Arizona in the mid nineties and became the General Manager of its GPS Business Unit after the Satloc acquisition by CSI Wireless. This Business Unit has evolved into Hemisphere GPS today. He holds a Masters Degree in International Business Administration from the Thunderbird Garvin School of International Management.

Dr. Stephen Bateman heads-up Novariant's engineering department, including development engineering (AutoFarm, Mining and Transportation products), documentation services, quality assurance and information technology. Prior to Novariant, Bateman was most recently Vice President of Engineering and R&D at ChipX Inc., Santa Clara, California. Prior to ChipX, he held senior executive positions in US and UK companies in the areas of IC design, communications systems development (wireless and wired), FPGA device architecture, design and development, communications systems development, EDA tool development and, earlier in his career, served as a tenured faculty member at a British University. Bateman has a First Class Honours degree in Electronic and Electrical Engineering, and a Ph.D. for work on High-Speed Digital Data Communication Systems, both from Loughborough University of Technology in England, UK. He is a Chartered Electronic Engineer, Fellow of the Institution of Electrical Engineers and author of over 40 technical publications. As well as being a senior industrialist, Dr. Bateman is also Visiting Professor at Loughborough and Bristol Universities, where he advises on research activities within the communications, RF, systems, networks, microelectronics, VLSI and control groups. Dr. Bateman is also active with the IEE professional network in microelectronics and embedded systems.
