On completion of the Plan of Arrangement in July of 2003, Alex Verge assumed the role of President and CEO of NuVista Energy Ltd. Prior to the re-organization Alex was the Vice President of Engineering for Bonavista Petroleum Ltd. Prior to joining Bonavista, Alex spent two and a half years in the Business Development Group at POCO Petroleums. Alex had 13 years of experience prior to POCO, in the fields of Reservoir Engineering, Production Engineering and Exploitation Planning at Rising Resources, Shell Canada Resources, and Gulf Canada Resources Resources. Alex holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Toronto and a M Eng degree in Chemical and Petroleum Engineering from the University of Calgary. Clayton M. Woitas, Profico Energy Management Ltd. Clayton Woitas founded Profico Energy in 2000 as a private company focused on natural gas exploration and production in Western Canada. Prior to Profico, Clayton was President and C.E.O. of Renaissance Energy, where the company grew from 250 BOE/day to 150,000 BOE/day. Since receiving an engineering degree from the University of Alberta in 1973, Clayton has been an active participant in the upstream energy sector. Clayton is also a member of the Board of Directors of a number of other private advisory boards.
