DR. JAMES E. NEWSOME has been president of the New York Mercantile Exchange since August 2004. Prior to that, he served as chairman of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) beginning in December 2001. He was a commissioner of the CFTC from August 1998. In addition to his responsibilities at the CFTC, Dr. Newsome served as a member of the President's Working Group on Financial Markets and on the President's Corporate Fraud Task Force to coordinate corporate fraud investigations. Along with Dr. Newsome's board responsibilities at NYMEX, he serves on the Board of Directors of the Dubai Mercantile Exchange, and the National Futures Association. His honors include: Distinguished Alumnus, University of Florida; Alumni Fellow, Mississippi State University; Arthur Kaplan Award, Futures and Options for Kids; and Person of the Year, Stock Futures and Options Publication. Dr. Newsome received his bachelor of science degree in food and resource economics from the University of Florida and his masters of science and doctorate of philosophy degrees from Mississippi State University.

CHRISTOPHER K. BOWEN is the general counsel and chief administrative officer of the Exchange. His responsibilities at the Exchange include overseeing the legal, human resources, membership, and corporate governance departments. JEROME BAILEY is the Exchange's chief operating officer and chief financial officer. Mr. Bailey will assume the chief financial officer role upon the filing of the company’s annual report on Form 10-K for the year ended December 31, 2005. Mr. Bailey will manage all of the financial functions of the Exchange, including the treasury, purchasing, market data, and the office of the controller. In addition, he will oversee the marketing, research, clearing, and operations departments. Mr. Bailey, who has more than 25 years of experience in financial services, joins the Exchange from Marsh, Inc., where he served as chief financial officer. He lives in New Jersey with his wife, Irene, and has two children.

SAMUEL GAER serves as NYMEX's Executive Vice President & Chief Information Officer. He joined the Exchange in March 2003 as chief information officer after the Exchange purchased the assets of TradinGear.com, the trading systems developer that he founded in 1999. In 2004, he was elected global co-chairman of the global derivatives committee of FIX Protocol Ltd., a non-profit organization that owns the intellectual property rights of the Financial Information eXchange protocol, a globally recognized messaging standard. RICHARD KERSCHNER serves as the general counsel of the New York Mercantile Exchange. Mr. Kerschner joined the Exchange in 2004 as associate general counsel and director of corporate governance. His responsibilities have included Securities and Exchange Commission reporting, corporate governance, private equity and other corporate transactions, and general corporate and securities matters. Mr. Kerschner's in–house, public company experience includes corporate governance issues, debt and equity financings, acquisitions and joint ventures, intellectual property licensing, international transactions, and material litigation. Prior to joining the Exchange, he served as special counsel and senior advisor to the legal department of T–Mobile USA; as the senior vice president, general counsel, and corporate secretary of SmartServ Online, Inc., previously a Nasdaq-listed mobile data company; and as the managing counsel of Omnipoint Communications, a multi–billion dollar Nasdaq–listed wireless telecommunications carrier acquired by VoiceStream Wireless and subsequently, by T–Mobile USA. Prior to joining Omnipoint, Mr. Kerschner was in private practice with a New Jersey law firm. Mr. Kerschner received a bachelors degree from the University of Pennsylvania in 1988 and a juris doctor from Georgetown University Law Center in 1991. He subsequently received a Certificate in Investment Banking from New York University and served as a barrister with the Bankruptcy American Inns of Court. Mr. Kerschner currently serves on the advisory boards of the National Association of Corporate Directors – New Jersey Chapter and the Georgetown University Law Center's Corporate Counsel Institute. He is a member of the Association of Corporate Counsel and is admitted to practice law in New York and New Jersey.

ROBERT A. LEVIN is the Senior Vice President of Research, and has held this position since 1993. He is responsible for the development and maintenance of the Exchange's business planning. THOMAS LASALA is the Chief Regulatory Officer. Mr. LaSala joined the Exchange in 1984 and worked in market surveillance as an analyst and director before being promoted to vice president of compliance in December 1993. Mr. LaSala oversees all aspects of regulatory compliance including trade practice, risk management, and market and financial surveillance. Dennis A. Suskind has served as director of CME Group since August 2008. Previously he served as director of NYMEX Exchange. Mr. Suskind joined J. Aron & Company in 1961 where he served as executive vice president and was responsible for the worldwide precious metal trading operations. In 1980, Mr. Suskind became a general partner of Goldman Sachs upon its acquisition of J. Aron & Company where he continued to lead the metals operations for the next ten years until his retirement in 1990. During his tenure in trading metals, Mr. Suskind served as vice chairman of NYMEX Exchange, vice chairman of COMEX, a member of the board of directors of Futures Industry Association, a member of the board of directors of International Precious Metals Institute, and a member of the boards of the Gold and Silver Institutes in Washington, D.C. In 2005, Mr. Suskind was elected to the Futures Industry Association's Hall of Fame. Mr. Suskind has previously served as an elected official of the town of Southampton, NY. He currently serves as vice chairman of Bridgehampton National Bank, president of the board of directors of the Arthur Ashe Institute for Urban Health, a member of the board of United Equity Fund, and president of the Hampton Classic Horse Show. He is also president of the board of the Stein Ericksen Lodge in Deer Valley, Utah.
