François Guibert was born in Beziers (France) in 1953 and graduated from Ecole Centrale Marseille in 1978 with a Master degree in Electronic Engineering. After graduation, he spent 3 years at Texas Instruments in France as a Technical Sales Engineer. In 1981, Guibert joined Thomson Semiconducteurs as a Sales Manager for Telecommunications. From 1983 to 1986, he was responsible for marketing of IC products, and later on for strategic marketing of telecom products in North America, based first in Los Angeles and then in New York. Shortly after the merger of Thomson Semiconducteurs and SGS Microelectronica in 1987, Guibert was appointed Director of Semicustom Business for the Asia Pacific region based in Singapore in January 1988. Under his direction, the Company set up Semicustom Design Centers in Taiwan, Korea and Hong Kong. In June 1989, he became President of the Company’s operations in Taiwan, and ST´s overall revenues in the country doubled between 1989 and 1991. At the end of 1980s, Guibert was elected Chairman of the French Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Taiwan. Since 1992, Guibert occupied senior positions in Business Development and Investor Relations. He was involved in the Company’s Initial Public Offering and became Group Vice President, Corporate Business Development, in 1995. Guibert was also responsible for Mergers & Acquisitions and, until 2001, for Financial Investor Relations Worldwide. The achievements of his Investor Relations team have been recognized by prestigious industry awards. In 2000, La Bourse de Paris honored the Company for the Best Financial Communications Strategy and the Best Financial Communications via Internet. Between 1994 and 2004, ST made 14 acquisitions and completed 8 equity investments, at the combined value of $1 billion under Guibert’s management. In 2004, he contributed to the successful negotiations that led to a joint-venture agreement between ST and Hynix to build a $2 billion front-end memory-manufacturing facility in China. In January 2005, Guibert was promoted to Corporate Vice President, Emerging Markets Region General Manager. He has also taken on the role of chairman of ST´s worldwide EMS (Electronic Manufacturing Services) Task Force. Guibert was appointed Corporate Vice President and CEO Asia Pacific region in October 2006. From this position, he has overseen the expansion of the region into Vietnam, Indonesia and the Philippines, and the absorption into the regional organization of ST’s India operations on January 1, 2009. In June 2007, Guibert became the Vice President of the European Chamber of Commerce (EuroCham) in Singapore and on February 1, 2009, he was appointed a member of the Board of the Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB) for a two-year term. On February 17, 2009, François Guibert was named Knight of the National Order of Merit by the French government in recognition of his contributions to the French economic mission and the promotion of French enterprises in Asia.

"Born in 1945 in Martigues (France), Alain Dutheil is an Engineering graduate from the Ecole Superieure d'Ingenieurs of Marseilles, France. He joined Texas Instruments in 1969. Following several promotions, he rose to Director of Operations of Texas Instruments, Portugal. Dutheil joined Thomson Semiconducteurs in 1983 as Plant Manager of the Aix-en-Provence plant in France. He was later appointed General Manager for the Discrete Products Division, a position that he held until 1989, two years after the merger between the French company Thomson Semiconducteurs and the Italian manufacturer SGS Microelettronica that gave birth to the Franco-Italian group SGS-THOMSON Microelectronics (now STMicroelectronics). Dutheil became Corporate Vice President of the Company in 1989 and combined the positions of Director of Corporate Human Resources and Director for Worldwide Back-End Manufacturing (four plants and 8000 people throughout the world, at that time). Five years later he relinquished his back-end manufacturing responsibilities and was appointed Corporate Vice President, Strategic Planning, in addition to his position as Corporate Vice President, Human Resources. A firm believer of Total Quality Management (TQM) and employee development and training, Dutheil implemented an active TQM network and suggestion schemes throughout the world. He also created an innovative education tool for the Company, the STMicroelectronics University (STU), based at Fuveau, France. Since 1994, STU has trained around 30,000 employees of the company in both management and high-level technical disciplines. "Alisia Grenville was born in Montreal, Canada in 1967. She graduated from Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario with an honor’s degree in French and Italian and from the University of Sussex with a bachelor in law (LLB). Carlo Ferro, a Swiss and Italian citizen, was born in Savona (Italy) in 1961 and graduated in 1984 in Business and Economics at the LUISS Guido Carli University, Rome. A Certified Public Accountant, he gained experience in accounting and control with a number of top Italian and international companies, including IRI, a major holding company; Finmeccanica, the leading Italian high-tech engineering and manufacturing group and a shareholder of SGS-THOMSON Microelectronics (now STMicroelectronics), and Elsag Bailey Process Automation NV, a worldwide leader in process control. With Finmeccanica from 1992 to 1996, as Planning and Control Manager then Corporate Development Director, he gained extensive experience in Corporate Finance and M&A through several deals and public offerings, including his valuable contribution to STMicroelectronics’ Initial Public Offering on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) in November 1994. He took on a new challenge in 1996, joining the executive team of Elsag Bailey Process Automation, a Dutch incorporated and NYSE listed Company with worldwide operations, initially as Vice President Strategic Planning and subsequently as Vice President Planning and Control and Principal Financial Officer, continuing in that position until pursuing his career with STMicroelectronics. Jean-Marc Chery was born in Orleans, France, in 1960, and graduated from the National Superior School for Engineering, ENSAM France in 1984. A French national, Chery began his professional career in 1985 with MATRA SA in its Quality organization and by the end of 1986, he had joined the Discrete Division of Thomson Semiconducteurs, located in Tours. Following the 1987 merger of SGS Microelettronica and Thomson Semiconducteurs into what is now STMicroelectronics, he remained in Tours until the beginning of 2001, first as Division Planning and Front-End Production Control Manager and later as the Front-End Operation Manager. In these roles, Chery built the Discrete Division’s strong reputation for service excellence through an intense improvement program using automated tools. Under his leadership, ST’s Tours plant expanded substantially to become one of the world’s biggest power and protection devices facilities. Early in 2001, Chery joined ST’s Central Front-End Manufacturing organization as General Manager of the Rousset 8” (200mm) plant, eventually taking over both the 6” and 8” wafer fab operations at the site. In this role, he orchestrated the expansion of 8” production from project status to a run rate of more than 6000 wafers per week. In 2005, Chery successfully led ST’s restructuring program for 6” front-end wafer manufacturing and he moved to Singapore, where, in 2006, his efforts earned him the responsibility for ST’s Asia-Pacific Front-End Manufacturing operations and EWS (electrical wafer-sort) operations. Under his leadership and direction, Singapore 5” and 6” wafer fabs are now running approximately 15,000 wafers per day, covering a wide range of technologies. The 8” wafer fab is currently running at 6000 wafers per week processing 130, 90 and 65nm Flash technologies. Additionally, the EWS operation at Singapore represents more than 60% of ST’s total production run rate. In January 2008, Jean-Marc Chery was promoted to the newly created position of Chief Technology Officer, where his responsibilities include ST’s corporate technology R&D, as well as the production at the Company’s 12” (300mm) Crolles wafer fab. Chery is a member of ST’s Executive Committee, comprised of ten senior corporate executives in addition to the COO and the CEO.

"Bob Krysiak was born in Bristol, UK, in 1954. He graduated from Cardiff University with a degree in Electronics and he also holds an MBA from the University of Bath. In 1983, Krysiak joined INMOS, a company acquired several years later by SGS-THOMSON Microelectronics (now STMicroelectronics), as a VLSI Design Engineer. In the late 1980s, he became Design Manager for advanced single-chip microcomputers and high-speed serial communications products. In 1992, Krysiak formed a group dedicated to the development of CPU products based on the Reusable-Micro-Core architecture. Under his leadership, the team produced a number of market-leading devices, using the popular ST20 32-bit RISC CPU core for applications in set-top boxes, mobile phones, GPS/navigation systems, and many others. Krysiak was appointed Group Vice President and General Manager of ST’s 16/32/64 and DSP division in 1997 to oversee embedded microprocessor developments for standard and application-specific products. He has also been instrumental in forming a number of important microprocessor-related research and development partnerships for ST. These include the partnerships with Hitachi for the ST40 range of 32-bit CPU cores and with HP for the advanced VLIW cores that have been realized in the ST2xx family. In 1999, Krysiak became Group Vice President of the Micro Cores Development Division covering all microcontroller, microprocessor, and VLIW cores, including advanced System-on-Chip products for the digital consumer market. In 2001, he took charge of ST’s DVD division, with significant operations in many countries including the UK, France, Germany, China, India, and the US. In September 2004, Krysiak was appointed Marketing Director for the Home, Personal, and Communications (HPC) sector, which was ST’s largest product organisation at the time, accounting for over one third of the Company’s annualized sales. Carlo Bozotti was born in Noviglio, near Milan, Italy, in 1952 and graduated in Electronic Engineering at the University of Pavia in 1976. Having completed his thesis on very high-voltage switching transistors at the high-voltage transistor development laboratory of SGS-ATES, Bozotti started working for the Italian semiconductor manufacturer in 1977. In 1984, in his role of product manager for telecom, computer peripherals, and automotive products he pioneered the market for the first smart-power devices, based on innovative technology developed at ST and in which the Company is today a world leader. After the creation, in 1987, of SGS-THOMSON Microelectronics (now STMicroelectronics), Bozotti was promoted to Director of Corporate Strategic Marketing and Key Accounts and, later on, Corporate Vice President, Marketing and Sales, Americas. While in the US, Bozotti and his team tripled sales to US customers, to almost $1B. Three years later, Bozotti returned to the Company’s headquarters to become Corporate Vice President for Europe and Headquarter Regions, overseeing sales in Europe, as well as sales to key customers and strategic marketing worldwide. From 1994 to 1997, under his leadership, the Company's sales in Europe grew close to 46% to $1.77B, while those to strategic partners grew 124% to $1.26B. In 1998, Bozotti took on a new responsibility as Corporate Vice President and General Manager of the Memory Products Group. Carlo Emanuele Ottaviani was born in Voghera (Italy) in 1943. He developed a passion for electronics early on and, while studying Political Science at university in Milan, he also specialized in electronics and telecommunications. He began his career in 1965 in the Advertisement and Public Relations Office of SIT-SIEMENS, today known as ITALTEL. Along with the promotion of the audio business of the company, he soon took over responsibility for the activities of the associate semiconductor company ATES Electronic Components. As his responsibilities at SIT-SIEMENS broadened to cover all corporate sectors related to electronics, his involvement and commitment to the field of semiconductors have steadily grown to this day. ATES merged with the Milanese-based SGS in 1971, and Ottaviani was given the responsibility of Marketing Communications of the newly formed SGS-ATES. In 1975, he was appointed Head of Corporate Communications worldwide, and has maintained this position ever since. The company, renamed SGS Microelettronica, merged with Thomson Semiconducteurs of France in 1987, making SGS-THOMSON a global player in the semiconductor industry. Carmelo Papa was born in 1949 in Castiglione di Sicilia (Italy). He graduated from the University of Catania (Sicily) with a degree in Nuclear Physics. Papa began his career in the electronic systems industry in1977 with ICL (International Computers Limited), first as a software engineer and then in market development and in 1983, Papa returned to Catania to join ST as Marketing Manager for Standard Logic. In 1986 he was appointed Director of Product Marketing and Customer Service for Transistors and Standard ICs. Between 1986 and 1999, he oversaw substantial growth in sales volume, from less than $100 million in 1986 to more than $500 million in 1999. He also made a key contribution to the growth of the Company’s overall presence in Catania, which is now a major site with R&D, product design, and wafer fabrication, as well as marketing and administrative departments. In January 2000, Papa was appointed Corporate Vice President, Emerging Markets, and became responsible for ST’s Sales and Marketing organization in emerging geographical markets around the world, including Africa, Eastern Europe, India, Latin America, the Middle East, and Russia. Under his guidance, the Emerging Markets have become the fastest growing region in ST, with a compound growth rate of approximately 44% a year between 2000 and 2004. In July 2001, Papa took on additional worldwide responsibility for Electronic Manufacturing Services (EMS) at ST with the objective of driving forward this new important channel of business. Georges Auguste was born in Oran, Algeria in 1949. He graduated in 1973 from the Ecole Supérieure d'Electricité in Paris with an engineering degree. Auguste started his career in the Semiconductor Industry as a technical manager at the manufacturing site of Philips Composants located in Caen, France. Over the next decade, he advanced his career by accepting increasingly important roles in production management within the Company. During this period, he also obtained the diploma of the ""Institut d'Administration des Entreprises"" (Institute of Business Administration). He left Philips Composants in 1986 to join a predecessor company to STMicroelectronics as head of production in a new integrated circuit (IC) manufacturing facility in Nancy, France. Two years later, Auguste was promoted to General Manager of the plant. In 1990, Auguste was appointed Managing Director of ST in Morocco where he brought performance levels to the same high standard as the Company’s other back-end plants, while expanding the output of the two factories in Ain Sebaa and Bouskoura. Since 1993, environmental protection has been a key mission in the business policy of STMicroelectronics, and in 1997, following his successes in Morocco, Auguste was appointed Director of the Total Quality and Environment Group. In 1999, Auguste was promoted to Corporate Vice President, Director of Total Quality and Environmental Management, to spearhead the organization responsible for the implementation of ST’s ambitious goals in environment and quality. Gian Luca Bertino was born in Ivrea (Italy) in 1960. He graduated from the Polytechnic of Turin with a degree in Electronic Engineering. Bertino started his professional career in digital IC design for Olivetti. In 1990, he was promoted to Product Leader of Ultraportable PCs at Olivetti Personal Computers. In that role, Bertino coordinated Olivetti’s related R&D activities in Italy and Japan and contributed to the successful launch of two new product series. In recognition of his achievements, Bertino was promoted to the Head of Development, Portable PCs, in 1995. In 1997, Bertino joined STMicroelectronics as the Market Development Manager for computer sales in Europe. A year later, he was promoted to Director of the Computer and Consumer Business Unit, responsible for sales and marketing in the European region. Leveraging his strong background in the computer business, Bertino succeeded in generating new business opportunities and doubling ST’s computer sales between 1998 and 2000. On the strength of these achievements, in 2000 he was appointed Region Vice President, Computer and Consumer Business Unit. As the Region VP, Bertino managed to intensify the cooperation and interaction between his sales organization and the relevant product divisions, particularly in the Consumer & Microcontrollers Group. He also recognized and met the opportunities and challenges of Digital Convergence. In January 2003, Bertino joined ST’s Telecom, Peripherals & Automotive Group as its Vice President and General Manager of the Data Storage Division. Jeffrey See was born in Singapore in 1945. He graduated from the Singapore Polytechnic in 1965 and went on to become a Chartered Electronic Engineer at the Institution of Electrical Engineers (IEE) in the UK. In 1969, See joined SGS Microelettronica, a forerunner company of ST, as a Quality Supervisor at its first Assembly and Test facility in Toa Payoh, Singapore. He rose through the ranks and was promoted to Deputy Back-End Plant Manager in 1980. In 1983, See was appointed to manage the start-up of the region’s first wafer fabrication plant (125mm) in Ang Mo Kio, Singapore, and he became General Manager of the front-end operations in 1992. In 2001, See was appointed Vice President and Assistant General Manager of Central Front-End Manufacturing and General Manager of the Asia Pacific Manufacturing Operations, responsible for wafer fabrication and electrical wafer sort in the region. Under See’s direction, the Ang Mo Kio plant has grown to become the single largest volume-manufacturing facility within ST, generating approximately 45% of the Company’s worldwide production. His profound knowledge of volume manufacturing processes, coupled with strong background in quality management, helped See develop ST’s front-end manufacturing complex in Ang Mo Kio into a benchmark site for achievements in quality, cost, and cycle time. As one of the pioneers of Singapore’s semiconductor industry, See has played an important role in building a base of core competence and a cluster of supporting industries in this high value-added manufacturing sector, which today is one of the largest contributors to the region’s electronics industry. In April 2006, Jeffrey See was appointed Corporate Vice President, Packaging & Test Manufacturing (PTM) General Manager. Based in Singapore, he oversees global operations of 14,000 people in six plants spanning Malaysia, China, Malta, Morocco and Singapore. Marco Cassis was born in Treviso (Italy) in 1963. He graduated from the Polytechnic of Milan with a degree in Electronic Engineering. In 1993, Cassis moved to Japan to support the Company’s newly created design center with his expertise in audio products. Otto Kosgalwies was born in Assling, Germany, in 1956. He graduated in Business and Economics from the Ludwigs-Maximilian University in Munich. Kosgalwies entered the semiconductor industry twenty four years ago and has spent his entire career in positions of increasing responsibility within companies that have grown into the current STMicroelectronics. During the first eight years, Kosgalwies successfully managed service, quality, and product promotion in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and Benelux. In 1992, Kosgalwies took responsibility of central marketing for European distribution. Three years later, he began to oversee the Company's regional sales and marketing operations. In 1997, he was appointed Managing Director of SGS-THOMSON Microelectronics in Munich. Under his direction, the Company grew to become one of the top three semiconductors suppliers in Central Europe. At the beginning of 2001, Kosgalwies was promoted to Vice President for Sales & Marketing in Europe and General Manager for Supply Chain Management, where he was responsible at the corporate level or the effective flow of goods and information from suppliers to end users. Patrice Chastagner was born in Seclin (France) in 1947 and graduated from HEC (Ecole des Hautes Etudes Commerciales) in Paris. Throughout his professional career, Chastagner has gained experience and achieved success in each of the diverse segments and industries he has worked in, from consulting and cosmetics to semiconductors. He began his career as an auditor with Arthur Andersen. Then, in 1975, Chastagner helped launch Steelcase Strafor, a high-end office furniture manufacturer, where he was its Administrative and Financial Director. In 1983, Chastagner joined the Revlon cosmetics group as the Financial Director of its French subsidiary. He also took on the responsibility for control of the group’s financial operations in the European and Middle East regions. Two years later, he entered the semiconductor industry as the Financial Director for Thomson’s semiconductor subsidiary EFCIS and has since climbed the corporate ladder within the Company as he has earned positions of increasing responsibility. After the 1987 merger of Thomson Semiconducteurs and SGS Microelettronica, Chastagner was appointed Grenoble Site Director. He played an important role in combining and organizing new Company’s activities in Grenoble and succeeded in streamlining its activities. From 1987 to 2004, he contributed significantly to the development of the Company’s activities in the Grenoble area, creating one of the most important hubs in Europe for advanced, complex silicon-chip development and solutions. In 1989, Chastagner initiated the creation of a new site in the nearby area of Crolles, which later became ST´s important R&D center. Between 1997 and 2003, Chastagner managed Human Relations in what was then ST’s largest product group, Telecommunication, Peripherals, and Automotive (TPA). As a Total Quality Management (TQM) champion, he also advocated ST´s commitment to continuous improvement. In 2003, Chastagner was appointed Chairman of STMicroelectronics S.A., the French subsidiary of the Group. In January 2005, Patrice Chastagner was promoted to the position of Corporate Vice President Human Resources, responsible for the Company’s most valuable asset: its more than 50,000 employees of more than 86 different nationalities located in 36 countries. Chastagner is also the Executive Vice President of the Association of Metallurgical and Electrical Industries (UDIMEC), an influential group of employers in the Rhône-Alpes region, following a four-year term as the group’s Chairman. Reza Kazerounian was born in Shiraz, Iran in 1958. He received a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Illinois in 1980 and a PhD from the University of California, Berkeley, in 1985, in both electrical engineering and computer sciences. In 1985, Kazerounian started his professional carrier as an R&D engineer at WaferScale Integration (WSI), a privately held start-up company in Fremont, California, specializing in Programmable System Devices. At WSI, he earned positions of increasing responsibility, through Vice President of Technology and Product Development (1995) to Chief Operating Officer in 1997. When WSI was acquired by STMicroelectronics in 2000, Kazerounian became the general manager of the newly formed Programmable Systems Division, charged with the development of 8- and 32-bit embedded systems. In 2003, he was appointed Group General Vice President and General Manager of the Smart Card IC Division. In this capacity, Kazerounian drove ST’s e-Passport and Trusted Computing programs and launched the Company’s development program for embedded ARM9 microcontrollers. Kazerounian’s research and development activities have been recognized with numerous patents and he has authored and co-authored more than 20 technical publications on non-volatile memory and smart-card technologies and products. In October 2005, Reza Kazerounian was promoted to Corporate Vice President, General Manager North America region, which accounts for 13% of ST’s sales by location of delivery and almost 30% of sales by the location of the customer’s headquarters. Ugo Carena was born in Ivrea (Italy) in 1944 and graduated from the Polytechnic of Turin with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He began his professional career in the area of electromechanical design at Olivetti in 1970. Among other achievements, Carena developed one of Olivetti’s first electronic calculators, which is now on display for its particular design at the Museum of Modern Art in New York. He also contributed to the introduction of the first worldwide electronic typewriter and many other Olivetti’s innovative products, including “Quaderno,” the first subnotebook introduced in the market in 1992. At the end of the 1970s, Carena initiated a tight cooperation in product and technology development between Olivetti and SGS, a predecessor of ST. The close teamwork and successfully executed projects that resulted from this relationship, such as the large-scale contract for Smart Power ICs, marked the beginning of the Company’s long-running and highly successful partner strategy. In 1997, Carena joined SGS-THOMSON Microelectronics (now STMicroelectronics) in Geneva as a manager of computer sales in Europe. A year later, he was appointed to head the newly formed Printer Division. Under his direction, the division’s total sales more than doubled in the following five years and the number of customers increased significantly. Carena also succeeded in intensifying the partnership with Hewlett-Packard and helped enlarge the printer product portfolio, opening a new line of digital products based on the most advanced CMOS technologies with embedded-DRAM features. In 2003, Carena became Vice President of the Telecom, Peripherals & Automotive Group and General Manager Computer Peripherals and Industrial Group. "Andrea Cuomo was born in Milan, Italy, in 1954 and studied Nuclear Science at the Polytechnic of Milan, with a special focus on analog electronics. He joined the Italian semiconductor manufacturer SGS Microelettronica in 1983 as a System Testing Engineer and until 1988 he held various positions up to Product Manager in the automotive, computer, and industrial product segments within the Monolithic Microsystems Division of SGS-THOMSON Microelectronics (now STMicroelectronics). Orio Bellezza was born in Bergamo (Italy) in 1959. Bellezza joined SGS-ATES, a precursor company to STMicroelectronics, in 1984 as a Process Engineer, and spent the first two years contributing to the opening of Module 6, the Company’s first 6-inch wafer fab, at the Company’s headquarters in Agrate Brianza (Italy). Then, he moved to the Central R&D department, where he worked as a Development Engineer in various technical areas. Bellezza subsequently became the Process Integration Manager, responsible for submicron EPROM (Erasable Programmable Read-Only Memories) process technology modules. In this role, he published technical papers and earned several patents in non-volatile memories. In 1996, Bellezza was promoted to the role of Director of the Agrate R1 Research and Development facility, responsible for both manufacturing and development activities. Here, he led the wafer fab’s conversion to 200mm diameter wafers and led the ramp-up of the R2 Technology Center. In 2002, Bellezza was promoted to Vice President of Central R&D. Under his leadership, ST’s Agrate R2 developed, manufactured and ultimately transferred to other ST wafer fabs several generations of non-volatile memory and smart-power technologies. In 2005, Bellezza was promoted to Vice President and Assistant General Manager of Front-End Technology and Manufacturing (the most sophisticated part of the wafer manufacturing process), managing the Agrate R2 and other R&D teams around the world. Claude Dardanne was born near Limoges (France) in 1952. He graduated from the Ecole Supérieure d'Ingénieurs en Génie Electrique de Rouen in France with a Master’s degree in Electronic Engineering. After graduation, Dardanne spent 5 years at Thomson Semiconducteur in France before moving to North America for the Company as a Field Application Engineer. During that time he wrote a book on one of Thomson’s key microprocessor products. From 1982, Dardanne was responsible for marketing of Microcontrollers & Microprocessor products in North America, where his efforts contributed significantly to the growth of Thomson’s market share in microcontrollers for the automotive industry. Before joining ASML, he was Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Consumer Electronics Division of Royal Philips Electronics N.V. and a member of the board. He was previously Managing Director of the Plessey and GEC Semiconductor divisions and held several engineering and management positions at Motorola. He was awarded an OBE in 1992. He is a non-executive director of ST Microelectronics N.V., Soitec S.A., LG. Philips LCD Co. Ltd and TomTom N.V.
