As Group Head, Wealth Management, George Lewis leads RBC's businesses that serve the wealth management needs of affluent and high net worth clients globally, and businesses that provide asset management and trust products. As a member of RBC's Group Executive, Mr. Lewis is one of eight executives responsible for setting the overall strategic direction of RBC. Mr. Lewis is also Chairman and CEO of RBC Asset Management Inc, Canada's largest single mutual fund family (RBC Funds) and one of Canada's largest asset management firms. He oversees the Canadian full-service brokerage business of RBC Dominion Securities, RBC's trust services and discretionary investment management businesses, RBC Dain Rauscher, the eighth largest full service brokerage in the U.S., and Royal Bank of Canada Global Private Banking, which provides wealth management services to clients in over 30 financial centres around the world. Most recently, George was Head of Wealth Management for the Canadian Personal and Business segment of RBC and from 2003 to 2005 was head of products for RBC Banking and RBC Investments. Prior to this role, Mr. Lewis was Managing Director, Head of Institutional Equity with RBC Capital Markets, responsible for institutional equity sales, trading and research activities on a global basis. Mr. Lewis began his career with RBC in 1986 in the investment banking division. Between 1990 and 1996, Mr. Lewis was a top-rated analyst in the research department of RBC Capital Markets, covering telecoms, pipelines and gas and electric utilities. In 1995, Mr. Lewis was appointed Director of Research. He joined RBC after earning a Master of Business Administration degree with distinction from Harvard University. He obtained the professional designation of charted accountant while working with Arthur Andersen & Co. and a Bachelor of Commerce degree with high distinction from Trinity College at the University of Toronto. Mr. Lewis is also a CFA, as well as being certified by the Institute of Corporate Directors. Mr. Lewis is an active community member serving on the Board of Directors of the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health Foundation, Chair of the Bishop's company of the Anglican Diocese of Toronto, as well as a member of the Cabinet of the United Way of Greater Toronto. David Unruh is a Director of TransLink. He is also a Director of Westcoast Energy Inc. and Union Gas Limited, both Duke Energy companies. Mr. Unruh joined Westcoast Energy Inc. as Senior Vice President, Law and Corporate Secretary in 1993 and continued in that role until March 14, 2002. This is Carrie's third year on the IABC/Toronto board, after serving as VP, Finance for the past two years. Carrie has been an active IABC/Toronto volunteer since she became a member in 2000 and she looks forward to her term as Executive Vice President. Carrie develops and delivers strategic employee communication at Ontario Power Generation. Don Hintz became President of Entergy Corporation on January 1, 1999, responsible for Entergy's 67 gas-fired power plants, 10 nuclear power plants, 7 coal-fired power plants, 5 hydro-electric plants, 15,000 miles of transmission lines and worldwide power plant development and construction. Hintz joined Entergy in 1989 as executive vice president and chief operating officer of System Energy Resources, Inc. In 1992 he was named president and chief executive officer of Entergy Operations, Inc., responsible for Entergy Corporation's nuclear program. His other Entergy roles have included positions on the boards of directors of several other Entergy subsidiary companies. Outside of Entergy, Hintz serves as a director of the Nuclear Energy Institute and of the Institute of Nuclear Power Operations, as well as on their executive committees, and was formerly on the Accrediting Board of the National Academy for Nuclear Training. He is also a director of the American Nuclear Society, Southeastern Electric Exchange, and Nuclear Electric Insurance Limited. He received the American Nuclear Society's 1995 Utility Leadership Award, given to recognize those professionals in the industry who have assumed and demonstrated a leadership role in rapidly changing times of competition, regulatory change, and cost effectiveness. While in Jackson, Mississippi, he served as a director on the State Public Education Forum, Junior Achievement Board, Central Mississippi Growth Foundation and was active in the Habitat for Humanity. He served as Corporate Recruiting Chairman for the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation in New Orleans in 2000 raising over $400,000 for the Foundation, and is Honorary Chairman of the 2001 Walk to Cure Diabetes. Hintz presently serves as a director on the Entergy Charitable Foundation Board. In 2000 this Foundation contributed $9 million to hundreds of non-profit organizations working in our communities.
