Opera Software

Charles McCathieNevile (better known to the world as "chaals") has been Chief Standards Officer at Opera since 2005, and is responsible for Opera's leading role in ensuring that the best of Web development is available to the world in the form of open standards. With more than two decades of experience in both commercial and academic hypertext systems, his personal interests are broad but include accessibility of the web to all people from all devices, and better ways to make information help people reach more of their goals more easily. He is chair of the W3C WebAPI working group, and involved personally in several W3C working groups. Before joining Opera Charles worked on the Staff of W3C. In his spare time he is Vice President of the Iberoamerican Web accessibility group Sidar, tries to learn languages, and cooks.

Prior to joining Opera, Harrell was CFO of the European operations for Advent Software, a NASDAQ-listed software company based in San Francisco, California, USA. Harrell's professional experience includes six years at JP Morgan & Co. in New York, where he was Vice President of Mergers & Acquisitions, a stint in Intel Capital, and the role of Founder and CEO of an early-stage internet software company. Harrell has an MBA with Distinction from the Harvard Business School and holds an MA and BA (Phi Beta Kappa) from The Johns Hopkins University.

Hakon Wium Lie joined Opera in 1999 as the Chief Technology Officer. Prior to his position at Opera, Wium Lie worked for W3C, where he proposed the concept of Cascading Style Sheets (CSS). He is a knowledgeable speaker on languages for the Web, as well as the past, present and future of the Web. Prior speaking engagements include the World Economic Forum and Seybold. After receiving his Master's degree from MIT Media Lab, Wium Lie worked as a research scientist at Norwegian Telecom Research and later at CERN, the birthplace of the Web. From 1995 to 1999, Wium Lie worked for W3C, after which he joined Opera. In 1999, Technology Review included him on the TR100 list, "a group of one hundred young innovators in technology from around the world." Wium Lie was also honored by the World Economic Forum (WEF) as one of the "Technology Pioneers" in 2000 and 2001. In his spare time, Wium Lie enjoys spending time with his family, listening to classical music and painting. He currently resides in Oslo, Norway.

As Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing, B2B, Dag Honningsvag oversees global sales and marketing efforts. He is responsible for driving Opera sales in all industry segments and major accounts around the world. Honningsvag has previously spent 24 years in the IT and telecom business, including time with Telenor and Computer Associates. Most recently, he served as Country Manager and Managing Director for Computer Associates in Norway, a position he had held since 2003.

Tatsuki Tomita is responsible for Opera Software's Desktop and Opera Mini product lines. Tomita began as Opera's Business Development Manager for the Asia Pacific region. He later served as Country General Manager for Opera's operations in Japan.

Tove Selnes joined Opera in 2007 as VP of Human Resources and has more than ten years of experience in organizational management. Prior to working at Opera, Selnes served as Director of Human Resources at Eltel Networks where she was responsible for the development and implementation of the organization's human resources strategy. Her professional experience also includes working at Avinor and Aetat. Selnes holds a law degree from the University of Oslo, and is presently pursuing a Master's of Management degree at the Norwegian School of Management. In 1994 she was awarded an Erasmus scholarship with Bologna University in Italy, where she studied EU and international environmental rights. She is a noted and respected authority on human resources management.

As Opera Software's Vice President of Business Development since 2004, Timo Bruns is an experienced speaker on behalf of Opera. His particular areas of knowledge include: operator requirements, dynamic user experience development, evolution of mobile devices, convergence of desktop and mobile browsing technologies, enterprise requirements and human computer interaction.

Rune Lillesveen works as a Senior Core Developer at Opera, mainly with the CSS and layout engine implementations. He has worked for Opera since March 2000. Before that, he spent two years working for Kongsberg Defence & Aerospace. Lillesveen holds a Sivilingenior degree in Computer Science from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology, Trondheim.

Halvorsen is a Senior Core Developer at Opera. He has worked at Opera since December 2000. Prior to joining Opera Halvorsen studied at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), Trondheim and holds a Sivilingenior degree in Computer Science (MSc).

Von Tetzchner holds a Master's degree in Computer Science from the University of Oslo. Upon completing his education, he worked as a research scientist for Norwegian Telecom Research from 1991 to 1995. Von Tetzchner has received numerous honors and awards for his accomplishments through Opera Software. He was recently included in the Forum of Young Global Leaders for 2005 and listed as one of Business Week's Stars of Europe for 2004.

Since November 2006 CEO of VMETRO ASA. Since 2000, Jebsen has been working as the Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer (until 2005) of Opera Software ASA. Prior to Opera, Jebsen worked as the Chief Executive Officer of Stavdal ASA (1998-2000). He also have an extensive financial background, having worked seven years (1991-1998) within corporate finance, investment banking of Nomura International in London and Enskilda Securites in Stockholm and Oslo.

Nils A. Foldal graduated from Norwegian School of Economics and Business Administration in 1985 and has held several key positions within national and international investment management companies.

Anne Syrrist has 10 years of experience within business development and M&A. Syrrist started her career with management consulting for Boston Consulting Group in Stockholm/Oslo in 1998 and then joined Convexa, a venture capital company, as a partner in 2001, where she managed the seed capital investments. In 2006, Syrrist was appointed Head of Corporate Development in Lindorff Group AB, one of the leading debt collectors and debt purchasers in the world, structuring up the M&A side. She is currently at the end of a maternity leave and will join Ringnes AS as Director of Business Development in September 2008. Syrrist holds a Master of Science degree in Engineering from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology in Trondheim, Norway.

Audun Wickstrand Iversen is working as portfolio manager at Vrangen AS and Midnight AS. Over the last ten years, he has focused primarily on the telecom, IT and alternative energy industries. Previously, Iversen has been working as a financial analyst at DnB Markets and as a portfolio manager at DnB Asset Management with responsibility for global telecoms and alternative energy. He holds a degree in business administration from the Norwegian School of Management (BI) as well as degrees from Norwegian School of Economics and Business Administration (NHH) and the University of Oslo.

Ole Peter Lorentzen is a Norwegian private investor with extensive experience from investments in several technology companies in Norway and abroad. Mr. Lorentzen controls approximately 9% of the shares in Opera Software.
