Ben Horowitz brings to Opsware Inc. a proven management track record in dynamic, high growth companies. Before co-founding Opsware Inc. (formerly Loudcloud), Horowitz was Vice President and General Manager of America Online, Inc.'s E-commerce Platform division where he oversaw development of the company's flagship Shop@AOL service. Today, Shop@AOL is the largest shopping destination on the Internet. Previously, Horowitz ran several product divisions at Netscape Communications where he was recognized numerous times for his results oriented management style. Horowitz also served as Vice President of Netscape's widely acclaimed Directory and Security product line. Marc Andreessen is Chairman and co-founder of Opsware Inc., the leading provider of data center automation software. Marc is widely recognized for his role in launching the Internet revolution in 1993, with his creation of the Mosaic browser while at the University of Illinois. After graduation, Marc co-founded Netscape Communications, and played a critical role in the company's hypergrowth. Andreessen later became CTO of AOL when the company purchased Netscape in 1999.
