Ronald H. Spair joined the Company in November 2001, as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer and was promoted to Chief Operating Officer and to the Board of Directors in October of 2006. He is an Executive Officer of the Company.
Mr. Spair brings extensive senior financial experience in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries to OraSure Technologies. His most recent position was with Delsys Pharmaceutical Corporation as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Prior to Delsys, he was Chief Financial Officer for three public companies – Supergen, Inc., Sparta Pharmaceuticals, Inc., and Envirogen, Inc. During this period, Mr. Spair had responsibility for directing finance, accounting, financial planning, treasury, human resources, risk management and information technology matters at these companies. Mr. Spair has also had extensive experience negotiating mergers and acquisitions, development and licensing transactions and corporate financings.
Mr. Spair is a Certified Public Accountant and received both his B.S. in Accounting and his MBA from Rider College.

Ronny B. Lancaster is Senior Vice President, Federal Government Relations for Assurant, Inc. in Atlanta, Georgia. Prior to joining Assurant, Mr. Lancaster was the Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for the Morehouse School of Medicine. Mr. Lancaster was previously the Executive Assistant to the Secretary and Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary for Planning and Evaluation at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services ("HHS"), where his responsibilities included a wide range of policy, program and management matters. Mr. Lancaster has also served as General Counsel of Hamilton Enterprises, Inc., Senior Washington Representative for Blue Cross/Blue Shield Association, Chief of the Division of Fee-For-Service Plans at the U.S. Office of Personnel Management and Executive Assistant to the Chairman at the National Institute for Advanced Studies.
Mr. Lancaster earned a B.A. in Economics from the Catholic University of America, an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, and his law degree from the Georgetown University Law Center. He is also admitted to the Bars of Pennsylvania and the District of Columbia, serves as a Board member for the Morehouse College Research Institute and is a past president for the Minority Health Professions Schools as well as the Minority Health Professions Foundation.

Mark Kirtland joined OraSure in 2006 as Senior Vice President of Business Development.
Prior to joining OraSure, Mr. Kirtland was an executive at Cytyc Corporation, serving in various capacities over an eight-year career. He began as Director of Physician Marketing and left as a Principal in the Corporate Development Group. In that time, the company's lead product, the ThinPrep PapTest, became the standard of medical care and revenues grew from $6 million to nearly $500 million. Mr. Kirtland has extensive experience in corporate strategy, product marketing, and acquisitions. Earlier in his career, he worked at Wyeth as a Senior Product Manager and then as a Product Director. He began his corporate career at McKinsey and Co. as a management consultant.
Mr. Kirtland received his B.S. in Biology from Christian Brothers University and his M.S. in Bioengineering from Columbia University.
Debra Y. Fraser-Howze joined OraSure Technologies in January 2008 as Vice President of Government and External Affairs.
In her role, Ms. Fraser-Howze is charged with developing business opportunities in new markets for the Company. She works with lawmakers to implement routine HIV testing and works to ensure laws and resources are available to communities in need of testing. She also develops external opportunities with clients, stakeholders and business partners.
Prior to joining OraSure Technologies, Ms. Fraser-Howze served as the President/CEO of National Black Leadership Commission on AIDS (NBLCA), an organization she founded in 1987. NBLCA conducts policy, research and advocacy on HIV and AIDS to ensure effective participation of its leadership in all policy and resource allocation decisions at the national, state and local levels of communities of African descent nationwide. NBLCA is now the largest Black HIV and AIDS non-profit organization of its kind in America.
Ms. Fraser-Howze has been widely recognized for more than two decades of global leadership to communities of color regarding teenage pregnancy, social welfare, and HIV and AIDS. She advised two U.S. Presidents while serving on the Presidential Advisory Council on HIV/AIDS from 1995-2001. She was the Vice Chair of the HIV Human Services Planning Council in New York City and Chaired the National Institute of Heath's Public Education Technology Committee. In 2003, she was appointed to the New York City Commission on AIDS and in 2007 to the New York State Governors Health Advisory Council.
Ms. Fraser-Howze holds a B.A. in Interpersonal Communications from Hunter College and a Master's in Public Administration from Baruch College.
Ron Ticho is Vice President, Corporate Communications for OraSure Technologies, where he has global responsibilities for the development and execution of corporate marketing and communications plans to drive growth, achieve corporate strategic imperatives and increase shareholder value.
Prior to his current role at OraSure, Mr. Ticho had oversight for product marketing and was intimately involved in the market launch and growth of the Company’s portfolio of products. Prior to joining OraSure, Mr. Ticho served as a principal of a marketing brand strategy firm that worked primarily with biotech, education-based companies and venture capital firms in developing and executing go-to-market strategies and product launch plans. He has served as an adjunct faculty member at Lehigh University, where he worked for 12 years, heading up the institution's marketing and university relations program.
Mr. Ticho earned a B.S. degree in Finance and Journalism and an MBA from Lehigh University.
Sam is a Professor of Practice in the Department of Chemistry at Lehigh University located in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. He is the former Chief Science Officer and a co-founder of OraSure Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ: OSUR). OraSure develops, manufactures, and markets proprietary immunodiagnostic tests and other diagnostic products capable of detecting substances in a number of different body fluids including saliva for use in commercial laboratories, physicians' offices, hospitals, and for on-site testing. At OraSure, Sam was responsible for development of all new products and technologies as well as over 60 approvals of new medical devices by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. Sam received his Bachelor of Science from East Stroudsburg University and his Master of Science in Clinical Chemistry and a Ph.D. in Chemistry from Lehigh University. Sam holds professional memberships in the New York Academy of Science, American Association for Clinical Chemistry, American Chemical Society, Society of Forensic Toxicologists, and The American College of Forensic Examiners. He holds numerous patents and over fifty peer-reviewed articles and book chapters in numerous areas of technology and medicine.

Douglas G. Watson , age 64, has served as one of our directors since February 2000. Mr. Watson is Chief Executive Officer of Pittencrieff Glen Associates, a consulting firm that he founded in July 1999. From January 1997 to May 1999, Mr. Watson served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Novartis Corporation, the U.S. subsidiary of Novartis AG. From April 1996 to December 1996, Mr. Watson served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Ciba-Geigy Corporation, which merged into Novartis Corporation in December 1996. Mr. Watson s career spanned 33 years with Novartis, having joined Geigy (UK) Ltd. in 1966. Mr. Watson also currently serves as chairman of OraSure Technologies, Inc., a medical diagnostics company, chairman of Javelin Pharmaceuticals, Inc., a pharmaceutical company, and as a director of Genta Incorporated, a biopharmaceutical company, and BioMimetic Therapeutics, Inc., a pharmaceutical company. Mr. Watson received an M.A. in Pure Mathematics from Churchill College, Cambridge University and holds an ACMA qualification as an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants.

Mr. Celano has extensive experience in life sciences where he spent 24 years in public accounting as a partner with KPMG and Arthur Andersen holding life science leadership positions in both firms. He served more than forty life sciences clients and was the lead audit partner for sixteen different public life sciences companies. In addition, he was the lead partner on twenty-two initial public offerings, and he has worked on over 100 public offerings and over sixty corporate partner and merger/acquisition transactions. After his public accounting experience, Mr. Celano became the Chief Financial Officer for BioRexis Pharmaceutical Corporation, a privately held venture-funded company that was acquired by Pfizer in February 2007. Most recently, Mr. Celano was the Managing Director, National Life Sciences Practice, for Aon Corporation of Philadelphia, PA. While at Aon, Mr. Celano led business development activities in key U.S. markets focused on product/clinical trial and D&O enterprise risk. Mr. Celano is also on the board of a publicly held medical diagnostics company.

Roger L. Pringle has served on the Board since September 2000, when the Company was formed by the merger of Epitope, Inc. ( Epitope ) and STC Technologies, Inc. Prior to that, Mr. Pringle served as Chairman of the Board and a member of the Board of Directors of Epitope, and was a director of Agritope, Inc., a plant genetics subsidiary of Epitope, since 1990. Mr. Pringle is the President of The Pringle Company, a strategy and executive consulting firm in Portland, Oregon, which was founded in 1976. Mr. Pringle currently serves on the boards of directors of Northwest Bank, North Pacific Group and Prolifiq Software, Inc. Mr. Pringle received a B.S. in Business from Oregon State University and an MBA from the University of Oregon.
