Steven M. Rauscher, CEO , Oscient Pharmaceuticals, has been a Director for TDI since September 2000. After 7 years of service as an outside board of director and President of Genome Therapeutics he assumed the CEO role, morphing GTC into Oscient Pharmaceuticals. Prior to GTC, Mr. Rauscher was most recently CEO of AmericasDoctor, a company formed from the merger of Affiliated Research Centers, Inc. and AmericasDoctor.com. The company provides clinical research and marketing services to the pharmaceutical industry. During his tenure at AmericasDoctor, company revenues grew from $500,000 to more than $56 million, and the company today has nearly 300 employees. Previously, Mr. Rauscher spent over 15 years with Abbott Laboratories serving in a variety of progressive leadership positions, including Vice President for Corporate Licensing; Vice President of Business Development, Abbott International; Vice President of Sales U.S., Pharmaceutical Products; Director of Strategic Planning, Pharmaceutical Products; and General Manager, Abbott West Indies. Mr. Rauscher holds a MBA from University of Chicago.
In his 25-year career, Mr. Maitre has held positions across the globe for major pharmaceutical companies including Rhone-Poulenc Rorer and Aventis (both now Sanofi-Aventis), with ten years in leadership roles in finance for U.S. public companies. At Aventis, Mr. Maitre served as Deputy CFO and Corporate Controller and earlier as Corporate Treasurer. Prior to his work at Aventis, Mr. Maitre spent several years in Asia and in Europe where he held positions of increasing responsibility at Rhone-Poulenc Group, including General Manager, Finance and Planning for Japan, Head of Corporate Financial Communications and Treasurer, Healthcare Division. Following his years at Aventis, Mr. Maitre was the CFO for PPD, Inc., a leading, publicly-traded global contract research organization. He also gained experience in the biotechnology industry as the President and CEO of Anosys, Inc., a cancer vaccine company based in California. Mr. Maitre graduated from Hautes Etudes de Commerce (HEC), a leading French Business School based in Paris.
Mr. Colangelo began his career as a practicing attorney and is a graduate of the Duke University School of Law. He received his bachelor's degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo, where he graduated magna cum laude.

Mr. Taylor joined Oscient Pharmaceuticals in 1997 and established the Company's first in-house Investor Relations and Corporate Communications department. In his tenure at Oscient Pharmaceuticals, Mr. Taylor has served as a primary interface with the investment community and has helped lead the Company's financing efforts, investor outreach and corporate news distribution. Previously, he was a Vice President at Feinstein Kean Healthcare, and worked as a Staff Writer in Shareholder Relations at The Putnam Companies. He began his career at Hill & Knowlton, working in Boston and Dallas. Mr. Taylor earned a B.S. in Public Relations from Syracuse University's Newhouse School of Public Communications where he graduated with honors.
Diane McGuire joined Oscient in 2002 to lead the Company's technical services and supply chain functions. As Vice President, Operations, her current responsibilities include technical services and supply chain, as well as quality control and quality assurance. Prior to joining Oscient, Ms. McGuire spent over a decade holding key positions in manufacturing (early phase through commercial), quality and supply chain for Eli Lilly & Company and Alkermes. Ms. McGuire earned her B.S. in Industrial Engineering from Pennsylvania State University and an M.B.A. from Carnegie Mellon University.

Mr. Cole joined Oscient in 2003 and has nearly 20 years of healthcare industry experience. Since joining Oscient, he has played a key role in the Company's transformation to a commercial-stage enterprise through both the Genesoft merger and the Auxilium co-promotion partnership. Prior to his work with Oscient, Mr. Cole served in multiple business development and strategic planning roles at Millennium Pharmaceuticals and its subsidiary companies. Previously, Mr. Cole was a principal with The Wilkerson Group, a pharmaceutical industry-focused management consulting firm. Mr. Cole received his M.B.A. from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and his bachelor's degree in Chemistry from Harvard University, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude.
Dr. Kaul joins Oscient from Abt Associates Clinical Trials a division of Abt Associates Inc., a health research consulting firm, where he was most recently the Division Vice President and also held positions in medical affairs, clinical operations and business development. At Abt Associates, Dr. Kaul led the company's full-service clinical research organization and served on the company's management committee. Prior to Abt Associates, Dr. Kaul was Medical Director for International Medical Operations at Searle and served in clinical research functions at Boehringer Ingelheim and in medical services positions at Parexel International. Dr. Kaul received his medical degree in anesthesiology from the University of Kashmir in India and his Masters in Public Health from the Harvard University School of Public Health.

Mr. Chen joins Oscient from Cubist Pharmaceuticals where he most recently led the launch and commercialization of that company's lead product, Cubicin (daptomycin), as Executive Director of Marketing. Mr. Chen's significant experience comes from over 18 years in sales, sales management and product management positions in multiple therapeutic areas at Cubist, Genetics Institute (Wyeth) and Zeneca Pharmaceuticals (AstraZeneca). Mr. Chen is a graduate of Boston College and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology.
Ms. Wielinski is leading the Company's quality and compliance initiatives governing internal and external operations. Ms Wielinski joins Oscient with over 10 years of progressive management experience in quality and regulatory affairs with Biomec, Steris, Ben Venue Laboratories and most recently Abbott Laboratories' MediSense business group where she was responsible for strategic quality and regulatory affairs programs. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of Toledo and is a certified regulatory affairs professional.
Mr. Voris spent nearly three decades at Lilly, serving in a variety of leadership roles, including Executive Vice President of the Lilly subsidiary PCS Health Systems. He also served as the Executive Director of the Infectious Disease Business Unit and throughout his time at Lilly, gained experience in sales and marketing both in the U.S. and abroad. Currently, Mr. Voris serves as CEO of HAPC, Inc., a special purpose acquisition company. Previously, Mr. Voris was the President and CEO during the start-up and development phases of Epocrates, Inc., a software company providing clinical information to healthcare professionals at the point of care. He continues his association with Epocrates as a member of the Board and also serves on the Board of Gentiae, a successful clinical research company. Mr. Voris is a graduate of the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University, where he earned both a bachelor's degree and an M.B.A.

Dr Pamela Kirby is currently Chairman of Scynexis Inc., a privately held chemistry-focused drug discovery and development company based in the US. She is also a Non-Executive Director of Smith and Nephew plc, Oscient Pharmaceuticals Corporation and Curalogic AS. She was previously the Non-Executive Chairman of Oxford Immunotec Ltd and was the CEO of US-based Quintiles Transnational Corporation, a provider of product development and commercial services to the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries. Prior to joining Quintiles, Dr Kirby held various senior positions in the pharmaceutical industry at Astra AB (now AstraZeneca plc), British Biotech plc (now Vernalis plc) and F. Hoffmann-La Roche Limited. She has a PhD in Clinical Pharmacology from the University of London. Dr Kirby was appointed as a Non-Executive Director in September 2004 and from 10 March 2005 also chairs the Remuneration Committee.
Mr. Mattson joined Oscient Pharmaceuticals' Board of Directors in 2006 and is the co-founder and Chairman Emeritus of The Mattson Jack Group, a healthcare consulting firm he established in 1986. Previously, Mr. Mattson worked for Monsanto as Director of Marketing Development and subsequently at Monsanto's subsidiary Searle Pharmaceuticals as Area Vice President. Mr. Mattson began his career at Abbott Laboratories where he served in various roles in business development, finance, sales and marketing and general management. Currently, Mr. Mattson is a member of the St. Louis College of Pharmacy Board of Trustees. Mr. Mattson graduated from Loyola University (Chicago) with an MBA in Marketing and received his undergraduate degree in Accounting from Bradley University.
Dr. Riedel is a corporate vice president and the chief scientific officer of Baxter International Inc., having served in that capacity since March 2001. He joined Baxter in 1998 as president of the recombinant unit within Baxter's BioScience business. Prior to joining Baxter, he was head of worldwide biotechnology and head of worldwide core research functions at Hoechst Marion Roussel. Dr. Riedel received his Ph.D. in biochemistry from the University of Frankfurt in 1983 and was a postdoctoral fellow at Harvard University from 1984 until 1987. Currently, Dr. Riedel is an adjunct professor at Boston University.
Now retired, Mr. Reardon, who holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and is a certified public accountant (CPA), was Partner at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PWC) where he led the Life Science Industry Practice for New England and the Eastern United States. His responsibilities at PWC included supervising teams conducting client audits and serving as a Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) Consulting Partner, which required him to work closely with SEC staff. Throughout his career, Mr. Reardon has been a highly visible member of the life sciences community, a frequent speaker at industry conferences, and an active member of the Biotechnology Industry Organization (BIO) and the Massachusetts Biotechnology Council (MBC). Mr. Reardon currently serves on the boards of directors at Idera Pharmaceuticals, Inc. and Synta Pharmaceuticals, Inc.
Dr Patou is an Executive Partner at MPM Capital and has broad experience in drug development, most recently as Executive Vice President and Chief Medical Officer of Oscient Pharmaceuticals, Inc, following its merger with GeneSoft Pharmaceuticals in 2004 and previously as President of Genesoft, Dr Patou was instrumental in applying for and obtaining FDA approval of the company's lead product, FACTIVE tablets. Prior to joining GeneSoft, Dr Patou worked at SmithKline Beecham Pharmaceuticals, now a unit of GlaxoSmithKline, as Senior Vice President & Director, Project and Portfolio Management, managing all of the company's pharmaceutical development projects including FACTIVE , as well as FDA-approved products Avandia, Paxil and Augmentin.
