Robert G. Bohn was appointed CEO in October 1997 and chairman in January 2000. Prior to becoming chairman and CEO, Bohn was president and chief operating officer for Oshkosh Corporation. He also held the position of president of Pierce Manufacturing Inc., an Oshkosh Corporation company, acquired in September 1996. Charles L. Szews is the President and Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Oshkosh Corporation responsible for managing the company’s four segments and its supply chain and quality functions. Bryan J. Blankfield is Oshkosh Corporation’s principal legal officer and a member of the executive management team. Donald H. Verhoff is Executive Vice President, Technology. He was appointed to this position in February 2003. Verhoff's career with Oshkosh Corporation spans more than 30 years. Prior to joining Oshkosh in 2001, Joseph (Jay) H. Kimmitt was most recently assistant staff director and legislative director for the United States Senate Appropriations Committee. Thomas J. Polnaszek is Senior Vice President, Finance and Controller. He was appointed to this position in September 1998 after joining the company as Controller in January 1998. Andy Hove is the Executive Vice President and President, Defense for Oshkosh Corporation. He has responsibility for all aspects of the company's defense business including tactical wheeled vehicles programs, aftermarket parts and service, and advanced technology development. Andy joined the company in March 2009. Andy has been involved with military and defense industry management for more than 20 years. He is a former army officer who served in tank and mechanized infantry units for most of his 11-year military career. At BAE Systems, Inc., he served as vice president, Combat Systems Programs, where he was responsible for a portfolio of domestic and international ground vehicle programs, including Bradley Combat Systems. Prior to that, he was employed with United Defense in program management, operations and business development.
