Dr. Goddard was appointed Chief Executive Officer of OSI in October 1998. He served as the Company’s President from September 1997 to September 2000; Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer from September 1996 to September 1997; Vice President, Research Operations from April 1995 to September 1996; Vice President, Research Operations, Pharmaceutical Division from December 1993 to April 1995; Director, Pharmaceutical Operations from April 1993 to December 1993; Director, Drug Discovery from April 1992 to April 1993; and Program Manager, Drug Discovery from April 1991 to April 1992. Dr. Goddard joined the Corporation as a scientist in January 1989. Dr. Goddard also served as Chairman of the Board from 2000–2002. Dr. Goddard has been a director of the company since October 1998.
Dr. Colin Goddard has led the transition of OSI from a technology platform services company into today’s profitable fully integrated biopharmaceutical organization. Dr. Goddard’s leadership and vision were instrumental in the approval and launch of the Company’s flagship product Tarceva® (erlotinib). Dr. Goddard has also led the Company’s corporate development, acquisition and financing efforts in recent years, completing multiple major acquisitions and divestitures and raising over $1.2 billion in capital.
Dr. Goddard is active in many organizations which promote the advancement of cancer treatment and awareness, science education and the biotechnology industry. He serves on the board of directors of Zelos Therapeutics, Inc, BIO (the Biotechnology Industry Organization) and Gilda's Club of New York, a cancer charitable organization. Dr. Goddard is a member of the CEO Roundtable on Cancer and the American Association of Cancer Research. Before joining the Corporation, Dr. Goddard spent four years at the National Cancer Institute in Bethesda, Maryland. Dr. Goddard trained as a cancer pharmacologist in Birmingham, U.K. and received his Ph.D. from the University of Aston, Birmingham, U.K. in September 1985. He was honored as a D.Sc. from the State University of New York in 2003 and Hofstra University in 2005.

Mr. Leung is currently President of OSI Oncology at OSI Pharmaceuticals, a leading biotechnology company based in Melville, NY. The mission of OSI Oncology is to shape medicine and change lives by discovering, developing and commercializing novel, molecular-targeted therapy for treating cancer. Mr. Leung leads the entire oncology business unit, including Research, Development, Medical Affairs, Sales and Marketing.
Prior to joining OSI, Mr. Leung was Group VP, Global Prescription Business at Pharmacia and was a member of the CEO’s Operating Committee. He headed up Pharmacia’s Oncology Franchise with business and medical affairs operations in over 80 countries. Mr. Leung also oversaw all the oncology R&D projects and portfolio strategies as the co-chair of the Oncology Development Committee. During his 4-year tenure at Pharmacia, which ended with the acquisition by Pfizer, he doubled the size of the oncology business to $1.3 billion in revenues, building it into one of the then largest oncology therapeutic companies in the world. He orchestrated two new product launches and helped build one of the strongest oncology pipeline in the industry through acquisition and in-licensing.
Mr. Leung began his career in the pharmaceutical industry at Eastman Pharmaceuticals/Sterling Drug Inc., a division of Eastman Kodak Company, where he gained worldwide business development experience. He then had a distinguished career at Bristol-Myers Squibb where he launched and led the growth of multiple pharmaceutical products in oncology and a variety of primary care and specialty therapeutic areas.
Mr. Leung is a pharmacist, trained at the University of Texas at Austin where he earned his pharmacy degree with High Honors. Following some years of practice in the hospital environment, Mr. Leung earned his M.S. degree at the University of Wisconsin-Madison with concentration in pharmaceutical marketing.
As a member of the National Cancer Institute Clinical Trial Advisory Committee (NCI CTAC), Mr. Leung serves as an advisor to the NCI Director. He is an active member and a member of the Nominating Committee of C-Change (www.cchangetogether.org), a national initiative chaired by former President George Bush and Mrs. Barbara Bush with the goal of reducing cancer mortality and incidence in the United States. Also, he is the founding chairman of the Life Sciences Consortium, a new initiative of the CEO Roundtable on Cancer (www.ceoroundtableoncancer.org). In this role, he leads an industry-wide effort to facilitate cross-company and cross-sector collaboration and to help expedite oncology drug discovery and development. Mr. Leung is a distinguished speaker on healthcare/industry issues and has lectured at major universities.

Mr. Browne is President since 2004 and a Trustee since 2000 of Planting Fields Foundation, a supporting institution of Planting Fields Arboretum State Historic Park. From 2001 to 2003, he served as Chief Financial Officer of Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory, a not-for-profit institution that conducts research and education programs in the biological sciences; he was its Administrative Director from 1985 to 2000. In prior years, he was active in the management of numerous scientifically based companies as an officer, as an individual consultant and as an associate of Laurent Oppenheim Associates, Industrial Management Consultants. Mr. Browne is chairman of OSI Pharmaceuticals Foundation which supports cancer and diabetes patient care and science education. He was a founding Director of the New York Biotechnology Association. He is a graduate of Yale University (B.A.).

Mr. Atieh, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, had previously served as Chair of the OSI Audit Committee and was an outside director of OSI until he took up his current appointment in May 2005. Mr. Atieh had been a director of the corporation since June 2003. Mr. Atieh was recently Group President of Dendrite International and was previously Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at Dendrite. Having started his career as an audit manager at Arthur Young & Company (now Ernst & Young), Mr. Atieh joined Merck and Company and held a number of senior positions from 1981-1994 including Director of Accounting, Director of Investor Relations, Vice President Government Relations, Treasurer, and Vice President of Public Affairs. Mr. Atieh then moved to the Merck-Medco Division of Merck, where he held a number of positions including Senior Vice President of Sales and Business Development. Mr. Atieh subsequently served as Vice President and General Manager of Merck's Medicare business initiative in their U.S. Human Health Division.
Dr. Gibson, is the Chief Scientific Officer of OSI Pharmaceuticals.. In this role he serves as the scientific expert on the Executive Management Committee providing both technical and strategic advice. He works closely with the oncology and diabetes teams heads to identify opportunities for research collaboration between the two areas of focus and with the business development teams to optimize our business development strategies. Dr. Gibson is also responsible for advocating OSI's science to the investment community, as well as continuing to manage the core research activities in the company.
Dr. Gibson has also served as Vice President of Research (2002 - 2005) and Vice President of U.S. Research (2002) at OSI Pharmaceuticals. Dr. Gibson began his career with OSI in January 2001 as Senior Director, Cancer Discovery. Dr. Gibson's experiences, prior to joining OSI, include serving as the Director for Cancer Research, Department of Cancer and Osteoporosis at Bayer Corporation; Senior Research Investigator at Pfizer Inc. during which he played an integral role in the Pfizer/OSI cancer collaboration; Associate Professor, School of Pharmacy and Comprehensive Cancer Center University of Southern California; and Fogarty Fellow at the National Cancer Institute, National Institutes of Health.
During his career Dr. Gibson has served on the Experimental Therapeutics Study Section of the National Cancer Institute, has been actively involved with the American Association of Cancer Research and is Past President of the British Pharmaceuticals Students Association.

Mr. Legault is Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer of OSI Pharmaceuticals. Mr. Legault has over 16 years of senior management experience in the pharmaceutical industry including several senior positions at Sanofi-Aventis and Aventis, most notably Worldwide President of Sanofi-Aventis Dermatology and Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Aventis Pharmaceutical North America. Prior to joining OSI, Mr. Legault was at Rite Aid Corporation where he was Senior Executive Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer following his instrumental role in the 2007 merger of Eckerd into Rite Aid. Mr. Legault served as Executive Vice President of The Jean Coutu Group, running its Brooks Eckerd operations in the United States from January 2006 until June 2007. Prior to his time at Sanofi-Aventis and Aventis, he was Global Senior Vice President Finance and Treasury of Hoechst Marion Roussel and Chief Financial Officer of Marion Merrell Dow (North America). Mr. Legault is a Board member of numerous corporations and belongs to several professional associations, including the Finance Executive Institute and the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants.

Mr. Simon is Executive Vice President, Pharmaceutical Development and Manufacturing of OSI. Before joining OSI in 2002, Mr. Simon served as Vice President Global Regulatory Affairs for Gilead Sciences from 1999 - 2001. Prior to joining Gilead he was Vice President Worldwide Regulatory Affairs at Bristol-Myers Squibb. There he was responsible for all CMC regulatory activities worldwide for both marketed products and new drug registration. From 1987-1997, Mr. Simon held various other regulatory affairs positions at Bristol Myers Squibb. He was responsible for the filings of numerous US IND’s, NDA’s, AADA’s and SNDA’s as well as a variety of international dossiers. During his career in regulatory affairs, he has created an electronic CMC dossier system capable of providing the CMC sections of worldwide registrational dossiers simultaneously. In addition, he successfully prepared and negotiated the approval of the CMC section of the only NDA that required an environmental impact statement. Among other achievements, Mr. Simon established a novel communications procedure with the FDA to help expedite the review and approval of the CMC sections of NDA’s that are the subject of important new therapies. Mr. Simon holds a Bachelors degree in Chemistry from California State University and has had Executive Management training from Levinson Institute and Columbia University. He was also the co-founder of the Regulatory Science Section of the American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists (AAPS).

Before joining OSI in 2001, Ms. Wood was a partner in the Corporate Department of the New York office of Squadron Ellenoff Plesent & Sheinfeld LLP (now Hogan and Hartson LLP) where she began her legal career in 1987. Her areas of expertise encompass mergers and acquisitions, complex licensing and collaboration agreements and transactions, private and public securities offerings, venture capital investments and the formation of joint ventures and partnerships. Ms. Wood holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in classics and economics from Connecticut College and a J.D. from Columbia Law School in New York where she was a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar.

Dr. Amper is the Senior Vice President, Human Resources at OSI. Prior to joining OSI, Dr. Amper served at the New York Blood Center for 23 years, her final position there was Executive Director and Vice President of Long Island Blood Services, a division of the New York Blood Center. Immediately prior to that position, she served as Vice President Human Resources for the New York Blood Center. Dr. Amper received a B.S. Degree in Medical Biology from CW Post College; a Master of Public Administration with a specialization in Health Care, also from CW Post College; and a Ph.D. in Philosophy/Health Administration from Columbia Southern. She completed her doctoral thesis in Employee Assistance Programs at the New York Blood Center. Dr. Amper is an active Board Member on a number of local Boards including The Long Island Works Coalition (Vice President), The Farmingdale BioScience Park, The Long Island Philharmonic and Friends of Karen. She is also a strong supporter of our local community, and from time-to-time teaches at Farmingdale State College as an Adjunct Professor in the Business Department.
Anne McElderry Zurbay, RN, MSN, ND - Consultant. Dr. McElderry joined the group in January 2005 after leaving a Clinical Safety Associate II position at OSI Pharmaceuticals. Daryl K. Granner, M.D. is the Joe C. Davis Professor of Biomedical Sciences and of Molecular Physiology and Biophysics at the Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Dr. Granner served as Chairman of Molecular Physiology Biophysics and of Internal Medicine at Vanderbilt University (1984–1998). He also served as a faculty member at the University of Iowa, where he directed the Division of Endocrinology and Diabetes and the Iowa Diabetes Center. Dr. Granner is an acknowledged authority in the mechanism of insulin action and the pathophysiology of diabetes mellitus. Dr. Granner has been a Director of the Corporation since September 1996 and a scientific consultant since 1992.

Joseph Klein, III , age 46, has served as a Director of Isis since December 2005. Mr. Klein is currently Managing Director of Gauss Capital Advisors, LLC, a financial consulting and investment advisory firm focused on biopharmaceuticals, which he founded in March 1998. In addition to his investment advisory and financial consulting activities, Mr. Klein currently serves as a Venture Partner of Red Abbey Venture Partners, LP, a life sciences private equity fund. From September 2001 to September 2002, Mr. Klein was a Venture Partner of MPM Capital, a healthcare venture capital firm. From June 1999 to September 2000 when it merged with WebMD Corporation, Mr. Klein served as Vice President, Strategy for Medical Manager Corporation, a leading developer of physician office management information systems. Mr. Klein serves on the board of directors of four publicly held biotechnology companies: BioMarin Pharmaceutical Inc. since June 2005; NPS Pharmaceuticals, Inc. since 1998, but does not intend to stand for reelection to NPS board at its annual meeting in May 2007; OSI Pharmaceuticals, Inc. since July 2006; and Savient Pharmaceuticals, Inc. since May 2006.

Santo J. Costa has been Of Counsel at the law firm Maupin Taylor, P.A. since June 2001. Prior to joining Maupin Taylor, Mr. Costa served as President and Chief Operating Officer of Quintiles Transnational Corporation from April 1994 to November 1999. He served as Vice Chairman of Quintiles from December 1999 to May 2001. As President and Chief Operating Officer of Quintiles, Mr. Costa had responsibility for all operating divisions, as well as worldwide business development. Prior to joining Quintiles, Mr. Costa spent 23 years in the pharmaceutical industry. Mr. Costa served as Senior Vice President, Administration and General Counsel of Glaxo Inc. from 1986 to 1993. Prior to joining Glaxo, Mr. Costa was U.S. area counsel for Merrell Dow from 1977 to 1986. Mr. Costa sits on the board of directors of four publicly-traded companies, NPS Pharmaceuticals, Inc., CV Therapeutics Inc., Labopharm Inc., and NeuroMedix Inc. (of which he is Chairman of the board), and two privately-held companies, DigiScripts, Inc. and Constella Group, Inc. Mr. Costa is an adjunct professor in the clinical research program at the Campbell University School of Pharmacy. He also sits on The Duke Cancer Patient Support Program and the Duke University Medical Center Board of Visitors. Mr. Costa received his B.S. in pharmacy and his J.D. from St. John s University.
