Prior to co-founding Shawmut, Mr. Doyle was a Principal at Summit Partners, a $5.5 billion venture capital partnership based in Boston, Massachusetts. At Summit Partners he invested alongside the management of growth companies in both expansion equity financings and leveraged recapitalizations. Prior to joining Summit Partners, Mr. Doyle was a Financial Analyst in the Technology Mergers & Acquisitions Group at Alex. Brown & Sons Incorporated, a Baltimore, Maryland-based investment banking firm specializing in growth companies. Mr. Doyle is currently a member of the Board of Directors of the New England Venture Capital Association as well as P&H Solutions, Inc. He has previously served as a director of a number of growth companies including Academic Management Services, Inc., Acurex Corporation, APPRO Systems, Inc., Astech, Inc., CIDCO Incorporated, First Marketing Corporation, Pacer Electronics, Inc., Poorman-Douglas Corporation, and Quote.com. Mr. Doyle earned his A.B. degree in Economics from Harvard University in 1988.
