As chairman and chief executive officer, Rainier Gonzalez manages the long-term strategic direction and overall growth of Pacer Health Corporation. Gonzalez managed the operations of hospitals within the Pacer hospital system for the past three years, totaling 148 licensed beds and approximately $30 million in net revenues. He has guided the company from a loss to a $400,000 profit in a period of under two years. An expert in turning around financially distressed hospitals, Gonzalez has successfully directed the turnaround of all acquired hospitals. Prior to founding Pacer Health, Gonzalez had been a successful business owner. He was a principal in two South Florida-based financial services firms and previously served as principal and vice president of business development for Brick Mountain LLC, a profitable Internet company that was sold to Jupiter Media (Nasdaq: JUPM). As an executive board member of Pacer Health Corporation, Dr. Eric Pantaleon helps direct the Company's overall business strategy. Pantaleon has been a pediatrician in private practice since 1994, and is an active member of the American Academy of Pediatrics. He is also a pediatric clinical instructor at the University of Miami- Jackson Memorial Medical Center, and serves as an assistant pediatric clinical instructor at Nova Southeastern University. From 1990 to 1993, Pantaleon was a resident in training at the Jersey Shore Medical Center, where he served on the hospital's Medical Education Committee and was president of the Residents House Staff. He previously served as an emergency room attending physician at the Humaco Area Hospital in Puerto Rico. Pantaleon completed both his pre-medical and doctoral education at the Universidad Nacional Pedro Henriquez Urena in Santo Domingo.
