Can you keep pace with it? Pacer International, Inc. (NASDAQ: PACR), based in Concord, CA, provides non-asset based third party logistics. The Wholesale segment provides intermodal logistics to marketing companies, automotive intermediaries and international ocean carriers. The Intermodal transportation consists of freight movement using rail and truck. The Retail segment provides trucking services; freight consolidation and handling; and international freight forwarding. Founded in 1974, the company has revenue of $1.86 billion and employs about 1,750 people. In 2006 the company was named for the second consecutive year to the Forbes Platinum 400 list, known as the 'Best Big Companies in America' and in 2005 Sony Logistics of America, which operates Sony Electronics' largest distribution complex in the United States, awarded its first-ever 'Best Intermodal Carrier Award' to Pacer International.
