Since 1992, Jim Balsillie has been co-CEO at Research In Motion (RIM), maker of the world renowned BlackBerry wireless solution. At RIM, Jim is responsible for driving corporate strategy, business development, marketing, sales, and finance.
In 2002, Mr. Balsillie founded The Centre for International Governance Innovation (CIGI), a world-class global research institute focused on the restructuring of international governance. In 2007, Mr. Balsillie announced the creation of the new Canadian International Council (CIC) of which he is the Chair. In 2008, he founded the Balsillie School of International Affairs.
Mr. Balsillie is a graduate of the University of Toronto and the Harvard Graduate School of Business. He is a chartered accountant and a fellow of the Ontario Institute of Chartered Accountants. He also holds numerous honorary doctorate degrees.

Mr. Lazaridis is known in the global wireless community as a visionary, innovator, and engineer of extraordinary talent. He traces his passion for his work to his hometown of Windsor, Ontario where his love of science and fascination with electronics were nurtured in supportive family and school environments.
As President and Co-CEO of Research In Motion (RIM), a company Mr. Lazaridis founded while a student at UW, he is responsible for product strategy, research and development, product development, and manufacturing. Mr. Lazaridis is also a leader in his community and a passionate advocate for education and scientific research. Mr. Lazaridis supports his community and country through generous philanthropic gifts made possible by his success in business.
He has donated $75 million to UW to help establish an Institute for Quantum Computing. Mr. Lazaridis also personally invested $150 million in the Perimeter Institute for Theoretical Physics (PI) and, through his leadership and tireless effort, has generated more than $100 million in additional private and public sector funding for this world leading centre of scientific excellence. PI is home to a growing cluster of international scientists who are pushing the limits of our fundamental understanding of space, time, matter and information. Since opening in 2001, the institute has attracted the attention of the world’s scientific research and educational outreach community. The independent centre is now associated with over 30 Canadian universities and a growing number of institutes world-wide.
Mr. Lazaridis holds honorary doctoral degrees from the University of Waterloo (Engineering), McMaster University, University of Windsor and Université Laval. He has been awarded Canada's most prestigious innovation prize - The Ernest C. Manning Principal Award and was listed on the TIME 100 List of Most Influential People. Mr. Lazaridis is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Canada, was named to the Order of Ontario and is an Officer of the Order of Canada.
Brian Bidulka is Chief Accounting Officer at Research In Motion serving as the Company's senior financial officer overseeing all financial reporting and compliance activities.
Prior to joining RIM in 2005, Brian held numerous finance positions at Molson Inc. and Ernst & Young LLP.
Brian received his Chartered Accountant's designation in 1989 and holds an Honours Bachelor of Commerce degree from McMaster University.

David Yach is the CTO for Software at Research In Motion. David oversees and manages the development of software that has helped RIM become a world leader in the mobile communications market. David's teams create software ranging from the BlackBerry Enterprise Server to the applications, operating systems and radio firmware on BlackBerry Smartphones.
Prior to joining RIM in 1998, David held various leadership positions at Sybase Inc.

Kim Davis is the Director of Development for The Rim Corporation. Originally, she started with Rim in 1999 as the Purchasing Administrator. After a brief time away, Kim returned to Rim to take on her new role in the Business Development department. Kim is involved in all aspects of the Development department. She works closely with The SVP of Development and CEO on new acquisitions and third party management contracts. She also focuses on the organization and the efficiency of the growing development department. By utilizing a broad range of resources from internet to word of mouth, Kim researches potential clients in hope of pursuing new contracts. Robert Gagnon is a manager in the Federal Government. He has been in the Information Technology field for over 30 years. He has been one of the original users of Blackberrys in the Canadian Government and has been dealing directly with Research In Motion on the Blackberry since the middle of 2001. Ms. Peterson has served as a director of Hanesbrands Inc., an apparel company, since August 2006. Ms. Peterson has served as a director for RIM Finance, LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Research In Motion, Ltd., the maker of the BlackBerry tm handheld device, since 2000. Ms. Peterson served as a director of TBC Corporation, a marketer of private branded replacement tires, from July 2005 to November 2005, when it was acquired by Sumitomo Corporation of America. From 1998 to August 2004, she served as a director of Fleming Companies. From December 2000 to December 2001, Ms. Peterson served as president and general manager of RIM Finance, LLC. From April 2000 to September 2000, Ms. Peterson served as the chief executive officer of Guidance Resources.com, a start-up business focused on providing online behavioral health and concierge services to employer groups and other associations. From 1998 to 2000, Ms. Peterson served as vice president of Sears Online and from 1993 to 1998, as vice president and treasurer of Sears, Roebuck and Co.

Ms. Stymiest, 51, has served as a director of the Company since March, 2007. Mr. Estill, 51, has served as a director of the Company since 1997. Since September 2004, Mr. Estill has been the Chief Executive Officer of SYNNEX Canada Limited (“SYNNEX”). SYNNEX, a wholly-owned subsidiary of SYNNEX Corporation, is a leading distributor of technology products. Prior to the acquisition by SYNNEX of EMJ Data Systems Ltd. in September 2004, Mr. Estill was the founder, President and Chief Executive Officer of EMJ Data Systems. Mr. Estill is a graduate of the University of Waterloo and holds a Bachelor of Science, Systems Design Engineering.
Mr. Richardson, 73, has served as a director of the Company since 2003 and has been the lead director of the Company since March, 2007. Mr. Richardson has a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Toronto, an MBA from Harvard Business School and an FCA from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ontario. Mr. Richardson was appointed Chairman of the Ontario Pension Board in July, 2004 and retired from that position at the end of his three year term in June, 2007. Mr. Richardson was previously a Senior Partner of Clarkson Gordon & Co, Executive Vice President, Lonvest Corporation (now London Insurance Group Inc.), President of Great Lakes Power, Deputy Chairman of London Insurance Groups Inc., Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of Wellington Insurance, and Chairman of London Guarantee Insurance Company. Mr. Richardson was a past board member with The Insurance Bureau of Canada, and the Facility Association. Mr. Richardson is currently the Chairman of Boiler Inspection and Insurance Co. and a trustee of Armtec Infrastructure Income Fund and Resolve Business Outsourcing Income Fund.
Mr. Wetmore, 58, has served as a director of the Company since March, 2007. Mr. Wetmore has a Bachelor of Mathematics from the University of Waterloo and graduated from the Advanced Executive Program at the Kellogg School, Northwestern University. Mr. Wetmore is the former President and Chief Executive Officer and also the former Chief Financial Officer of IBM Canada. He also held various finance positions at IBM Americas.
