Steve is one of the founding partners of Pacific Growth Equities and serves as Co-Chief Executive Officer and is a member of the Firm's Board of Directors and Executive Committee. He was also one of the founders of Volpe, Welty & Company. While at Volpe he ran the trading side of the business and was a member of the Operating Committee. Prior to that he held senior positions in trading at Montgomery Securities and Dean Witter, Reynolds. Steve received his MBA in Finance and BA in Accounting from Golden Gate University.

Greg serves as Head of Equity Capital Markets, and is a member of the firm's Committment Committee and Research Recommendation Committee. Greg joined Pacific Growth Equities with over 20 years of experience in the securities business, most recently as Managing Director and Co-Head of Equity Capital Markets for JPMorgan-Americas. Prior to the merger with JPMorgan, Greg ran the ECM Groups at the predecessor firms Chase H&Q and Hambrecht and Quist, overseeing nearly 700 equity financings for leading growth companies during his 9-year tenure. While at Hambrecht and Quist, Greg was a member of the firm's Operating Committee and Chair of the firm's Commitment Committee. Before joining Hambrecht in 1994, Greg was U.S. Syndicate Manager for S.G. Warburg where he was involved in many financings for both domestic and international clients. Greg started his business career at Bear Stearns in New York in 1983. Greg attended Pace University in New York City.

Greg is a Research Analyst on the Healthcare Equity Research team and specializes in Biotechnology. He joined Pacific Growth in January 2000 from Isis Pharmaceuticals where he was the Associate Director of Business Development. Previous to that he was the Manager of Corporate Development for Procyon BioPharma, Inc., and with Helix Investments, Inc., a Toronto based venture capital firm. B.S., Medical Biophysics: Ph.D., Physiology, University of Western Ontario.

Derrick joined the Pacific Growth Equities research department in early 2000. Since 2002, Derrick has covered Enterprise Software, and in early 2006, broadened his universe to include Digital Media companies. Derrick received his BS/BA in Economics from the University of California, Davis. Derrick is a CFA Charterholder.

Katherine Xu is currently a research analyst covering the biotechnology/biopharmaceuticals sector at Pacific Growth Equities in San Francisco, an investment banking firm focused on emerging technology industries. Prior to joining Pacific Growth Equities, Katherine was a vice president of investment banking at Petkevich & Partners, a boutique investment banking firm focused on the life sciences industry, where she advised companies in a variety of engagements including mergers and acquisitions, workouts, spinouts, and private placements. Katherine holds a Ph.D. in Developmental Biology and a Ph.D. minor in Engineering-Economic Systems and Operations Research from Stanford University, and worked on a postdoctoral project in bioinformatics at Department of Mathematics, Stanford University. Katherine's research ranged from the study of the mechanisms of cancer employing genetic, cell biological, biochemical and molecular biology approaches, to data analyses in the bioinformatics arena. Prior to Stanford, Katherine attended Peking University in Beijing and Kalamazoo College in Michigan, where she gained her BA with honors. Katherine also serves as Director of the Board for two non-profit organizations in the bay area: CNetwork Organization, the largest professional Chinese organization in the bay area; and The 1990 Institute, a think-tank whose mission is to search for policy-oriented solutions to economic and social problems that are impeding China's modernization.

Kimberly Lee joined Pacific Growth Equities as a biotech equity research associate in 2006. Kim began her career on Wall Street as a biotech equity research associate with Jefferies & Co. and Stephens Inc. and prior to that, was a practicing obstetrician and gynecologist. Kim received her DO from the Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine and her BS in Biological Sciences from Stanford University.

Liana came to Pacific Growth Equities from UBS Global Asset Management where she was director and portfolio manager of the UBS Global Biotech Funds for five years. Previously, Liana was with Bristol-Meyers Squibb where she was a manager in University and Government Licensing, External Science and Technology. Liana has also worked with Sloan-Kettering Cancer Institute in the office of Industrial Affairs and the National Cancer Institute in the Office of Technology Development. Liana received her BS in Entomology and her MS in Zoology and Biochemistry from Clemson University, her Ph.D. in Plant Pathology from the University of California, Davis and completed a postdoctoral research fellowship in cellular and molecular Physiology at the Yale School of Medicine.

Rob Katz has been with Pacific Growth Equities since its inception in 1991 and is currently the Head of Trading. Prior to Pacific Growth, Rob was a trader at Volpe Covington Welty and at Montgomery Securities. Rob graduated from the University of Colorado, Boulder with a BA in History.

Yun joined Pacific Growth Equities from A.G. Edwards & Sons where he was a Vice President and Senior Research Analyst covering the enterprise application software sector. Previously, Yun worked for several Wall Street firms as a software analyst including ThinkEquity Partners, CIBC World Markets, ABN AMRO, and Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette. Prior to working on Wall Street, Yun was a Senior Consultant with Accenture in its supply-chain, SAP, and eCommerce practices. Yun received his MS in Biomedical Engineering from Northwestern University, his BS in Bioengineering from the University of California, Berkeley and his BA in Economics from the University of California, Santa Cruz.
