Mr. Beaman is president & CEO, Palmetto Health in Columbia, SC. He earned a bachelor's degree from the University of South Carolina and his master's degree in hospital and health administration from the University of Alabama-Birmingham.

Dave Garrett is chief information officer of Palmetto Health. He joined Palmetto Health in 2005 and has more than 25 years of information technology experience. Most recently, he was vice president and chief information officer for Baptist Health Care in Pensacola, FL. Garrett earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Central Florida and a master's degree from Troy State University.

Paul Duane is chief financial officer of Palmetto Health. He joined Palmetto Health in 2000 and has more than 20 years of healthcare finance experience. Most recently, he was senior vice president and chief financial officer for ViaHealth in Rochester, N.Y. Duane earned a bachelor's degree from State University of New York and is a certified public accountant.

Dr. Jim Raymond is senior vice president of Medical Education and Research for Palmetto Health. Prior to this position, Raymond was senior vice president of Medical Education and Research at Palmetto Health Richland. Before that, he was director of the Emergency Medicine Center, a position he had held since 1980. Raymond earned a bachelor's degree from Gettysburg College, Pennsylvania; a master's degree in physical chemistry from the University of Virginia; and a medical degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine.

Artur Pacult M.D., Neurosurgeon, graduated from Copernicus Academy of Medicine in Krakow, Poland receiving his medical degree in 1979. He completed 1 year of Spinal Cord Injury research, then completed his general surgery internship and Neurosurgery residency at the Medical University of South Carolina, Charleston, SC. Dr. Pacult joined the Neurology-Neurosurgery Clinic in Charleston, SC in 1988. He is a diplomate of the American Board of Neurosurgery since 1991. He completed Principals and Practices of Gamma Knife Surgery at the University of Pittsburgh Neurosurgery Department, Pittsburgh, PA. and has been performing Gamma Knife Radiosurgery at the Gamma Knife Center of the Carolinas since 2000.

Brett Gunter, M.D., Neurosurgeon, received his medical degree from the University of Alabama and completed his Neurological Surgery residency at the University of Tennessee. He is a diplomate of the American Board of Neurological Surgery. Dr. Gunter participated in Gamma Knife procedures during his residency and completed Principals and Practices of Gamma Knife Surgery at the Cleveland Clinic in October, 1999. He has been performing Gamma Knife Radiosurgery at the Gamma Knife Center of the Carolinas since 2000.

James Brennan, M.D., Neurosurgeon, graduated from Manhattan College in 1989. He received his medical doctorate from Albany Medical College in Albany, New York. He completed a general surgery internship and Neurosurgery residency at the University of Oklahoma. He also completed a Fellowship in Spine Surgery at Washington University, School of Medicine in St. Louis and joined Florence Neurosurgery and Spine in July 2000. He completed Principals and Practices of Gamma Knife Surgery at the Cromwell Hospital, Gamma Knife Centre in London. Jim Boulware, M.D. Radiation Oncologist, is the Director of Radiation Oncology at the SC Cancer Center, Palmetto Richland Memorial Hospital, Columbia, SC. He earned his medical degree from Case Western Reserve in Cleveland, Ohio and completed his residencies at Emory/Grady, Atlanta, GA., and Anderson Hospital, Houston, TX. He is a diplomate, American Board of Radiology. Dr. Boulware is Clinical Associate Professor of Radiology and Pediatrics at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine and principal investigator for RTOG research protocols at the SC Cancer Center, Palmetto Richland Memorial. He completed Principals and Practices of Gamma Knife Surgery at the University of Pittsburgh Neurosurgery Department and has been performing Gamma Knife Radiosurgery at The Gamma Knife Center of the Carolinas since its opening in 1998.

With over twenty years in the field of Medical Physics, Mary Lewis brings a broad range of experience to the Gamma Knife Team. She is author or co-author of several scientific publications and has been a member of the Gamma Knife Team since 2002.
