Philip graduated from Oxford University in 1983 with an MA in Chemistry. He joined Scrimgeour Kemp-Gee as a trainee analyst, becoming a Retail Analyst the following year. He joined Panmure Gordon in 1996 and became Head of Research in March 2003.

Charles has had a 26 year career in investment banking, including being Head of European Equities and Equity Capital Markets at Morgan Stanley International, and Head of Investment Banking for Credit Suisse First Boston in the Americas. He is currently a Non-executive Director of the London Metal Exchange and Gulfsands Petroleum Plc and also holds three other directorships: Chapman Entertainment Limited, Ealing Studios Enterprises Limited and The Little Entertainment Group Limited. He was previously a director of Lazard & Co., Limited, Credit Agricole Lazard Financial Products Limited and Credit Agricole Lazard Financial Products Bank.

Richard Wyatt, 48, was appointed a non-executive director of Archant in April 2005. Richard is chairman of Loudwater Investment Partners and a non-executive director, and former chairman, of Panmure Gordon & Co plc, was formerly Managing Director of Schroder Securities and is a member of the Regulatory Decisions Committee of the FSA. Richard, who is a law graduate, is a trustee of Aldeburgh Music and a director of The Suffolk Foundation.

A Non-Executive Director since January 2007, Simon Heale is also a Non-Executive Director of The Morgan Crucible Company plc, Panmure Gordon & Co plc, Marex Financial, PZ Cussons and Chief Executive of China Now. Formerly Chief Executive of The London Metal Exchange, Chief Operating Officer of Jardine Fleming Ltd and Deputy Managing Director of Cathay Pacific Airways. Simon Heale is a member of the Audit, Nomination and Remuneration Committees.
