In September 2007, Par's Branded pharmaceuticals business was renamed Strativa Pharmaceuticals. With an experienced management team and strong commercial infrastructure in the supportive care segment, Strativa has in-licensed four proprietary drugs in development: Zensana (ondansetron HCL) Oral Spray, Loramyc (miconazole Lauriad ), ONCONASE (ranpirnase), and thin film ondansetron. Each of these development-stage drugs was in-licensed with the goal of leveraging Strativa's management and commercial infrastructure.

Mr. Knight has been a Director of the Company since June 2000. Mr. Knight has been President of Generation Investment Management US, a London-based asset management company, since August 2004. From 2001-2003, he was a Managing Director of MetWest Financial. Prior to that, Mr. Knight s business experience included serving as general counsel of Medicis Pharmaceutical and a practicing attorney. Mr. Knight s experience also includes serving as chief of staff to Al Gore when Mr. Gore was a member of the U.S. House of Representatives and later the U.S. Senate and holding senior positions with four presidential campaigns, including serving as campaign manager for the successful 1996 re-election of President Clinton. John D. Abernathy. Mr. Abernathy was Chief Operating Officer of Patton Boggs LLP, a Washington D.C. law firm, from January 1995 through May 2004 when he retired. On June 15, 2009, Insmed's Board of Directors appointed Melvin Sharoky, M.D. to assume the role of Chairman of the Board, formerly held by Dr. Geoffrey Allan.
