Louis Ferguson joined the Parkview team in November 2005, bringing with him over twenty years' experience in healthcare financial operations. Most recently, Louis was in Beaumont, Texas with Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas. A native of Nederland, Texas, Louis earned his bachelor's degree in business administration/accounting from the University of North Texas and a master's degree from the University of Texas Pan American. Louis and his wife, Debbie, have two college-age children, Rebecca and Andrew. In his spare time, Louis enjoys golf, reading and exploring.

Dr. Alberto Madrid is a Board Certified General Surgeon with over 30 years' experience. His distinguished career has taken him to Mexico for missionary work, to the University of Texas at Houston to teach in the Department of Surgery, to Bergstrom Air Force Base for active duty military and to private practice in Texas, California and Iowa. Dr. Madrid is a Diplomate with the American Board of Surgery and a Fellow with the American College of Surgeons. He performs a wide array of surgical procedures, including gallbladder, hernia, hysterectomy, tubal ligation, breast, thyroid, stomach, colon and small bowel surgeries. He also performs upper and lower endoscopies. Dr. Madrid and his wife, Elizabeth, have two grown children and in 2005, they welcomed their first grandchild.

Dr. Nwafor (pronounced "Wafor") is a family-oriented, Christian urologic surgeon. Originally from Nigeria, Dr. Nwafor emigrated to the U.S. almost 20 years ago. He earned his Bachelor's degree in Biology from Kean College of New Jersey and went to medical school at the New York Medical College. Dr. Nwafor served as a urologic surgeon while in the Air Force at Darnell Army Hospital in Fort Hood and later at King's Daughters Clinic in Temple. Dr. Nwafor's practice offers the vast spectrum of services, including prostate screening, treatment of prostate cancer, urinary incontinence, voiding problems, kidney stones, infertility treatment, and vasectomies. He has been in Mexia since September 2000. He is board certified in adult and pediatric urology. Dr. Nwafor is married to Chichi and they have four children.
Dr. Newman is a family medicine doctor who treats the broad scope of health needs, from infants to the elderly. Upon completing his undergraduate degree from the University of Texas at Austin, Dr. Newman attended medical school at the University of North Texas Health Science Center at Ft. Worth. He recently completed his residency in family medicine at East Tennessee State University College of Medicine in Kingsport, Tennessee. Dr. Newman and his wife, Teresa, have two children, Blake and Claire. In his spare time he enjoys spending time with his family, scuba diving, travel and church activities.
Jimmy joined the Parkview team in July 2003. He grew up in Oklahoma, son of a hospital administrator. Prior to coming to Mexia, Jimmy was the Administrator at Big Bend Regional Medical Center in Alpine, Texas, part of Community Health Systems. He also worked for Covenant Healthcare System in Lamesa, Texas, for Deaconess Hospital of Cleveland, Ohio and for numerous years with American Medical International in various Texas locations. Prior to joining the healthcare ranks, Jimmy worked for Halliburton Services in Mexico City, Mexico for 5 years.

Leah came to Parkview in 2001. A Louisiana native, Leah received her bachelor's degree from Northwestern State University in Natchitoches, Louisiana. She is responsible for assisting the CFO and CNO, working with policies and procedures and helping keep the office running smooth. Leah has one daughter, Maryelle.

Dr. Gundanna is a board-certified orthopedic spine surgeon. He specialized in surgery of the spine at UCLA. He trained in orthopedic surgery at New York University. Dr. Gundanna treats spinal disorders ranging from herniated discs to arthritis to fractures. Rhonda joined Parkview in 1997. A native of nearby Teague, Texas, Rhonda coordinates and credentials the medical staff at Parkview Regional Hospital. In addition, she serves as Executive Assistant to the Administrator and the Governing Board. Rhonda and husband Kelly have three children, Cord, Whitney, and Kateley.

Board-Certified, Dr. Hale attended the University of North Texas, then continued to medical school at Des Moines University. After a residency in family practice and an internship in internal medicine, she practiced family medicine and emergency medicine for 10 years before joining the active staff at Parkview. Dr. Hale can see patients from newborns to the elderly. She treats the vast spectrum of health concerns.

Dr. Guthrie is a native Central Texan and is a Board-Certified foot surgeon. He attended Tarleton State University in Stephenville, and is a graduate of the Illinois College of Podiatric Medicine. Dr. Guthrie has been in practice over 50 years and was one of the original staff doctors at Mexia General Hospital (now Parkview Regional Hospital). In 1978, he closed his private practice in Waco to serve as the Director of the Surgical Residency Program at the Veteran's Administration Medical Center in Waco and as an Associate Clinical Professor at the Inversity of Texas Medical School, San Antonio. In 1990, Dr. Guthrie returned to private practice in Mexia. In addition to general foot care, Dr. Guthrie specializes in diabetic foot and wound care and surgery. His office is in the Parkview Clinic, located at 408 E. Tyler St.
