Mr. Walker is responsible for PATH's finances and all of PATH's other core administrative systems, including human resources, legal services, and information services. As a member of the senior management group, he also participates in policy and strategy decisions. Mr. Walker has more than 25 years of experience in financial and administrative management, institutional capacity building, and systems development in international nonprofit organizations. He is a renowned expert in developing systems for managing contracts, grants, and cooperative agreements with the US Agency for International Development (USAID). In 1980, he cofounded the Association for Private Voluntary Organization Financial Managers and continues to lead training sessions around the world on USAID rules and regulations. Mr. Walker earned his master's degree from Georgetown University in 1978.

Molly Joel Coye, MD, MPH, is the founder of the Health Technology Center, a San Francisco-based nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing the use of new health technologies in the United States. Dr. Coye's career has spanned the public, private, and nonprofit sectors. She served as a progressive health commissioner in two states, New Jersey and California, at critical moments in the evolution of managed care. Dr. Coye was an executive in the Good Samaritan Health System, a large nonprofit integrated health care system in California, and she also directed product development and marketing for HealthDesk Corporation, a developer of consumer software for interactive health communication and disease management. Prior to founding the Health Technology Center in 1999, Dr. Coye was the director of the West Coast office for The Lewin Group, a leader in health care policy, strategic planning, and management consulting. Dr. Coye has served as a consultant with WHO, PAHO, and other institutions in Latin America and Asia. She lives in San Francisco.

Dr. Wecker directs PATH's activities in immunization, which focus on developing and advancing strategies, technologies, and interventions that help move research achievements in immunization into routine use in the field. Before joining PATH in 2004, Dr. Wecker spent 18 years in the pharmaceutical industry, where he held positions in clinical research, international project management, and global marketing. While at Boehringer Ingelheim, a German-based multinational pharmaceutical company, he led the company's efforts to expand access to antiretroviral therapy for the prevention and treatment of HIV in the developing world, including the Viramune (nevirapine) Donation Program. He also played a key role in the establishment of the Accelerating Access Initiative, the joint UN agency-pharmaceutical industry program to expand access to antiretroviral treatment in the developing world. Dr. Wecker received his doctorate in biological psychology from the University of Rochester in Rochester, New York (1984). He is skilled in German.

Awa Marie Coll-Seck, MD, PhD, is the Executive Secretary of the Roll Back Malaria Partnership Secretariat based in Geneva. Dr. Coll-Seck was the Minister of Health of Senegal from 2001 to 2003 and previously held director positions for Policy, Strategy and Research at UNAIDS headquarters in Geneva and in the Infectious Diseases Department at the University Teaching Hospital in Dakar, Senegal. She has been a coordinator, counselor, and trainer with the National AIDS Program and a member of the World Health Organization country team in Senegal. Dr. Coll-Seck received her medical degree in Senegal, with specialized studies in bacteriology and virology, infectious and tropical diseases. She also studied applied epidemiology and biostatistics in Annecy, France. She is author of more than 150 scientific publications, including over 50 on different aspects of HIV/AIDS. She has been a consultant on numerous AIDS, reproductive health, and development studies in Africa for various international and national organizations, including the World Health Organization, the Population Council, and the United Nations Development Programme. She has been principal investigator of international research grants on medical and social aspects of AIDS, tuberculosis, and cervical cancer. Dr. Coll-Seck sits on the board and is a member of numerous scientific societies and nongovernmental organizations in Senegal.

He is responsible for program development, project management, and liaison with local and international collaborators and donors, including ministries of health and other public and private institutions in the region. His areas of technical experience include capacity building, partnerships between the public and private sectors, health program management, behavior change communication, HIV/AIDS prevention programs, HIV/AIDS care and support, childhood immunization, integrated management of childhood illness, monitoring and evaluation, multisectoral approaches to HIV/AIDS, organizational development, policy development, and STI programming. Mr. McLaughlin earned his master's degree from Michigan State University. He is fluent in Thai and speaks Lao.

Dr. Loucq directs the PATH Malaria Vaccine Initiative (MVI), which seeks to accelerate the development of promising malaria vaccines and ensure their availability and use in developing countries. Dr. Loucq has more than 30 years of experience in medicine, pharmaceuticals, vaccines, and global health. He joined MVI in February 2007, serving as director of strategy and operations and as interim director until his appointment as MVI director three months later. His professional experience spans the globe: born and educated in France, he has lived and worked in Algeria, Belgium, Chad, China, India, the Netherlands, Niger, Switzerland, Thailand, and the United Kingdom. Dr. Loucq has managed vaccine businesses in China, India, and Thailand and has been involved in most stages of vaccine development. He has worked with large vaccine companies, such as GlaxoSmithKline and Sanofi Pasteur, and biotech companies including Rhein Biotech and Acambis. He has extensive experience partnering with local governments, building public-private partnerships, and setting up local private collaborations. Dr. Loucq earned his state doctorate of human medicine at the University of Paris X and a diploma of public health and tropical medicine from the University of Aix-Marseilles.

Ms. Nayyar is PATH's country leader in India. Before joining PATH, she worked six years with the International AIDS Vaccine Initiative (IAVI), where she served initially as India country director for three years and then as vice president for Country and Regional Programs, working both in New Delhi and in New York at the organization's headquarters. As vice president, she led field operations and non-research and development programs in India, Brazil, South Africa, China, Kenya, Rwanda and Uganda. In addition, she led the strategic development and management of IAVI's Vaccine Preparedness Unit. Prior to joining IAVI, Ms. Nayyar worked from May 1996 to February 2002 for the Population Council Regional Office, South and East Asia, in the roles of communications specialist and project director, overseeing projects that focused on advocacy for reproductive and sexual health, including emergency contraception. Ms. Nayyar holds a master's degree in Population Studies from Annamalai University, Tamil Nadu, India, and a bachelors degree with honors in English Literature from St. Xavier's College, Bombay University. She has also earned diplomas in Mass Communication from St. Xavier's Institute of Mass Communications and Advances in Family Health Communication from Johns Hopkins University. She serves on the boards of the International Partnership for Microbicides and Interventions for Sexual Health and Awareness, a nongovernmental organization that works with victims of sexual abuse in India.

Dr. Boslego directs PATH's pneumococcal vaccine development program, which seeks to identify and facilitate the development of safe, effective, affordable pneumococcal vaccines for infant populations in the developing world. Dr. Boslego's career spans 30 years of service to private industry and the United States government. Before joining PATH, he served as executive director of Biologics, Clinical Research, at Merck & Co., Inc. His portfolio at Merck included clinical development of a Haemophilus influenzae type b conjugate vaccine, a recombinant hepatitis B vaccine, an influenza DNA vaccine, a pneumococcal polysaccharide vaccine, a pneumococcal conjugate vaccine, various pediatric combination vaccines, a rotavirus vaccine, and a human papillomavirus vaccine. For nearly two decades, Dr. Boslego worked for the Walter Reed Army Institute of Research in vaccine research both in the laboratory and in clinical trials. He also directed the Armed Forces Research Institute of Medical Sciences in Thailand for three years. Dr. Boslego received his medical education at George Washington University after graduating from the United States Military Academy.

Dr. Krasovec is a public health specialist and directs PATH's activities in maternal health, child health, and nutrition. She has 20 years of experience in these areas, including 7 years in long-term field positions in sub-Saharan and North Africa. Dr. Krasovec's programmatic experience includes design, implementation, and assessment of nutrition, maternal health, HIV/AIDS, child health, and family planning projects; policy development and implementation; health-sector reform; cost-effectiveness of child and reproductive health interventions; and coordination and implementation of nutrition and health activities with refugees and displaced persons. Her analytic experience ranges from the design, implementation, and analysis of population-based studies to financing, costing, and cost-effectiveness analyses. Before joining PATH, she worked for Abt Associates, Inc., UNICEF, USAID, MotherCare, Wellstart, and Georgetown University School of Medicine. Dr. Krasovec has served as an advisor to the World Health Organization, the United Nations High Commission for Refugees, the United Nations System Standing Committee on Nutrition, and a number of nongovernmental organizations active in maternal, reproductive, and child health and nutrition. She earned her doctorate from Johns Hopkins University School of Hygiene and Public Health and her master's degree in political science from Northwestern University.

Michelle Folsom is PATH's country leader for South Africa, based in Johannesburg. Ms. Folsom brings a unique background of private-sector media and communication experience to the global health arena. Her major responsibilities include designing and developing programs, managing projects and operations, and representing PATH's programs and interests with local and international partners. Ms. Folsom joined PATH in 1999, initially as the country leader for Kenya and then as the Africa Regional Representative. Before joining PATH, Ms. Folsom served as senior technical advisor with USAID/REDSO in eastern and southern Africa, where she provided technical assistance to USAID missions and host-country governments in the field of adolescent reproductive health. Previously Ms. Folsom operated her own media production company, focusing on health promotion and communication for social change in Boston. For nearly ten years, she worked as a producer for Envision Corporation, making videos and producing product launches for the private sector. She has worked in seventeen countries and received numerous awards for her productions. Ms. Folsom has a BS from James Madison University in communication arts and a masters in public health from Boston University.

Vera Cordeiro, MD, is founder and CEO of Associacao Saude Crianca Renascer (ASCR), a nonprofit organization based in Rio de Janeiro. Renascer's mission is to assist children released from Lagoa Hospital, one of Rio's largest public hospitals, by breaking the cycle of poverty, illness, hospital admission, readmission, and death and by creating the basis for improving families' well-being and economic self-sufficiency. A graduate from Rio's Federal University, Dr. Cordeiro worked at Lagoa Hospital from 1978 until 1998, where she founded the psychosomatic medicine sector. She was elected as an Ashoka fellow in 1992, Avina leader in 2000, and Schwab Social Entrepreneur in 2001. She currently serves as a member of Ashoka's board of directors. In 2003, Renascer received the Global Development Award for the most innovative NGO in the world. In 2006, Renascer won a Skoll Award for Social Entrepreneurship.

He has extensive experience in the construction and real estate industry throughout the Pacific Northwest. During his career George Gotsadze was devoted to the resolution of the problems faced by various countries during the development and reforming process of healthcare system. Since 1996 he is the director of CIF and is responsible for management and technical direction of projects implemented by CIF. Mahmoud Fahmy Fathalla, MD, PhD, is professor of obstetrics and gynecology and former dean of the medical school, Assiut University in Egypt. He currently serves as chairman of the WHO Global Advisory Committee on Health Research. His former positions include director of the UNDP/UNFPA/WHO/World Bank Special Programme of Research, Development and Research Training in Human Reproduction; senior advisor for Biomedical and Reproductive Health Research at The Rockefeller Foundation; president of the International Federation of Gynecology and Obstetrics (FIGO); and chairman of the International Medical Advisory Panel of the International Planned Parenthood Federation. Dr. Fathalla has authored more than 150 scientific publications, including the books From Obstetrics and Gynecology to Women's Health The Road Ahead and Reproductive Health and Human Rights Integrating Medicine, Ethics and Law (coauthor). He also edited the first "World Report on Women's Health" in 1994, and coedited the FIGO Teaching Manual in Human Reproduction. Dr. Fathalla is the chair of PATH's board of directors.

Former president and chief executive officer of Corbis, a global digital media company, managing rights and licensing images seen by millions of people daily in advertising, books, newspapers, magazines, television, and films. Mr. Davis had senior roles at Corbis from 1993 until 2007. Earlier, he practiced law with the firm of Preston Gates & Ellis in Seattle, specializing in intellectual property issues, and prior to that he held various positions in international refugee and human rights organizations. Davis received his AB from Princeton University, his MA in Chinese studies from the University of Washington, and his JD from Columbia University School of Law, where he received the Faculty Prize in international law. He has also attended certificate programs at Beijing University and Stanford Business School. Mr. Davis is active in numerous community and industry concerns. He currently serves on the boards of PATH, Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, The Seattle Foundation, Global Partners, and PlanetOut, and is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations. He previously chaired the Technology Alliance, NPower, United Way of King County and the International Practice Section of the Washington State Bar and has served on the boards of the United Way International, Alliance for Education, Lambda Legal Defense & Education Fund, the Governor's Competiveness Council and other organizations.

Supamit Chunsuttiwat, MD, MPH, is a senior expert in disease control at the Department of Disease Control, Ministry of Public Health, Thailand. He is an expert in immunization and epidemiology, with a twenty-year history in the field of communicable diseases. Dr. Chunsuttiwat earned his medical degree and MPH from Mahidol University in Bangkok and has served as an advisor to the World Health Organization in numerous capacities. He also was a Hubert Humphrey Fellow at Emory University and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in Atlanta, Georgia.
