Patriot was founded in 1989 as a division of Western International Media Corporation, the world's largest media management company. During the early '90s, Patriot developed some of the first ANI-based IVR and locator applications and was a pioneer of interactive voice programs for the direct response industry. In 1994, Dennis F. Holt, the founder of WIMC, sold WIMC to The Interpublic Group of Companies, a NYSE publicly traded company. In 1995, Patriot acquired Applied Telematics, Inc., a Philadelphia-based communications service bureau, providing Patriot with a national presence. The company experienced unparalleled success and growth throughout the '90s. In 1999, Mr. Holt reacquired Patriot from IPG, making Patriot Communications private again. With its core of strong and experienced management, Patriot continues to expand its services and maintain its reputation as the leader in the communications industry.
