Founded in 1878 as actuarial firm R Watson & Sons, and headquartered in Arlington, VA, Watson Wyatt Worldwide (NYSE: WW) provides consulting on human resources issues. The company offers solutions in three groups: Benefits, Technology Solutions, and Human Capital. It has exertise in retirement plans, benefits services, employee management, compensation, disability, and HR procedure streamlining. In August 2005 Watson Wyatt & Company acquired the assets and assumed the liabilities of European-based Watson Wyatt LLP. In January 2006 it changed its name to Watson Wyatt Worldwide.
