PDF Solutions Inc.

Kibarian has served as president of PDF Solutions since founding the company in 1991. He was appointed CEO in 2000. Before launching the company, Dr. Kibarian was a researcher at Carnegie Mellon University's SEMATECH Center for Rapid Yield Learning. While there, he developed algorithms for diagnosing process variations based on electrical test data, and for yield maximization based on circuit optimization and statistical process and device simulation. He holds a B.S. and an M.S. in Electrical Engineering and a Ph.D. in Computer Engineering, all from Carnegie Mellon University.

Dr. Shubat co-founded Virage Logic in 1996 and currently serves as the company’s president and Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Prior to taking on the role of president and CEO in October 2008, Dr. Shubat served as Chief Operating Officer (COO) where he led the company’s strategic initiative to always be first-to-market with next generation products by focusing on both organic and in-organic product line expansion and operational excellence. Prior to his role as COO, Dr. Shubat served as the company’s vice president of research and development (R&D) and chief technical officer (CTO) where he was instrumental in leading the nearly 300 person technical staff to conceive, develop and deliver the highly differentiated advanced technology solutions for which Virage Logic has become known. Prior to co-founding Virage Logic in 1996, Dr. Shubat served as director of engineering at Waferscale Integration, a provider of Programmable uC peripherals (subsequently sold to ST). During his 10 year career at Waferscale Integration, he managed various groups including design, application-specific integrated circuit and high-speed memory. Dr. Shubat was elected to the Santa Clara University Industry Advisory Board in 2007. He is also a member of the IEEE and served as a committee member for the IEEE’s International Solid State Circuit Conference (ISSCC) from 2004 to 2006. He received an ISSCC special topic session award in 2005 and an ISSCC panel award in 2002. Dr. Shubat holds more than 20 patents and has contributed to more than 25 publications. He holds an executive M.B.A. from Stanford University, a B.S. and an M.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Toronto, Canada, and a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Santa Clara University.

Strojwas has served as a technical advisor to PDF since the company's founding, and was named its chief technologist in 1997. A Keithley Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Carnegie Mellon University, Dr. Strojwas has held senior technical positions at Harris Semiconductor Co., AT&T Bell Labs, Texas Instruments, NEC, Hitachi, SEMATECH, and KLA-Tencor. In addition, Strojwas has consulted for semiconductor companies, equipment vendors, and electronic design automation companies in the area of statistically based CAD/CIM of VLSI circuits. He holds an M.S. in Electronic Engineering from Warsaw Technical University and a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University.

Joseph was appointed chief strategy officer in 2003. Since joining PDF in 1999, he has served as executive vice president of sales, marketing, and business development; vice-president of product and methods; and vice-president of business development. Before joining PDF, he was vice president of strategic alliances at KLA-Tencor, where he had previously held management positions in engineering and marketing; was the Japan business manager; and was the general manager of the yield analysis business unit. Joseph holds a B.S. in Mathematical Sciences from Stanford University.

Leo has more than twenty-five years of financial and corporate management experience with leading electronics companies. Prior to joining PDF Solutions, Leo was senior vice president, chief financial officer and secretary for Credence Systems Corporations. Leo served as vice president of finance and administration, chief financial officer and secretary for Artisan Components, Inc., now known as ARM Holdings PLC. During her tenure at Artisan, she successfully guided the company to year-over-year net income growth and significantly improved operational efficiency. Leo also served as vice president of finance and administration and chief financial officer for IMP, Inc.; vice president of finance, operations and administration at Innomedia Incorporated; and vice president and chief financial officer for Philips Components, a multi-billion dollar division of Royal Philips Electronics N.V. Leo holds a bachelor's degree in business administration and finance from the University of Utah.

Jones was named vice-president and Chief Financial Officer of PDF Solutions in 2006. He served as the company's director of Finance and SEC Compliance since joining the company in 2003. Before that, Mr. Jones was the assistant controller for Interwoven, Inc., controller for eTime Capital, Inc., and was an audit manager for Deloitte & Touche LLP. Mr. Jones received a B.S. in Business Administration from California State University, Fresno and is a Certified Public Accountant.

Andre Hawit has served as Vice President, Volume Manufacturing Solutions since July 2008. Mr. Hawit served as Vice President, Yield Manufacturing Systems from January 2006 through June 2008, and as Vice President, Software Development from September 2003 through December 2005. Prior to joining PDF, Mr. Hawit was the founder of IDS Software Systems Inc. ("IDS"), a yield management systems software and solutions company. He also held various positions within IDS including President and Chief Executive Officer, and most recently Chief Technology Officer. Mr. Hawit received a B.S. in Electronics and Computer Engineering from San Francisco State University and an M.B.A. from National University School of Business.

Hartgring joined PDF in 2002 as vice president of business development and sales. Before that, he served as CEO of TriMedia Technologies, a fabless semiconductor IP company spun out from Philips Semiconductors. Previously, he was a vice president at Philips, andbefore that, he formed and led the silicon division of Silicon & Software Systems. Hartgring has a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the University of California, Berkeley. He holds 11 patents in VLSI design and semiconductor devices.

David Sowards serves as Virage Logic’s Vice President of Silicon Validation where he is responsible for the silicon validation of all Virage Logic products including test chip development, test chip characterization and silicon reports. Prior to joining Virage Logic in July 2005, Sowards served as Vice President of Engineering for fabless Smart Card IC maker, Emosyn International, an SST company. Sowards joined Emosyn in 1998 where he established the design organization and developed products that grew to over 200 million units being shipped by mid 2005. Prior to Emosyn, Sowards served as Director of Engineering at Information Storage Devices (ISD), a maker of devices for the audio market that used analog level storage on conventional floating gate non-volatile technology. Prior to ISD, Sowards held various engineering and management positions at Exar, Catalyst Semiconductor, Wafer Scale Integration, Xicor, and Sperry Univac. Sowards holds a BSEE degree from the University of Utah.

A founder of PDF, Michaels has served as vice-president, integration practice, and as CFO. He has been a company director since 1995. Michaels has a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and an M.S. and Ph.D. in Electronics and Computer Engineering, all from Carnegie Mellon University.

Rebecca Baybrook, Ph.D. , has served as Vice President, Human Resources since May 2002. Prior to joining PDF, from September 2001 to April 2002, Ms. Baybrook served as Sr. Director, Human Resources for Vitria Technologies, an integrated software company. From October 1999 to July 2001 she served as Director, Human Resources for 3Com, a telecommunications company. From January 1986 to September 1999, Ms. Baybrook served as Assistant Vice President of Human Resources for Knight Ridder, Inc., a publishing company. Ms. Baybrook received a B.A. degree from Westmont College and a Ph.D. in Organizational Psychology from University of South Florida.

Mousties became General Manager for the Process Control Solutions division in October 2006, when PDF Solutions acquired Si Automation. He co-founded Si Automation with Thierry Raymond in 1987. He was CEO of the company, which was providing supervision solutions for wet and diffusion processes. In 1999, on the strength of the experience acquired and R&D results, Richard Mousties successfully positioned the company in Data Collection for Advance Process Control. In 5 years Si Automation became a leading supplier of sophisticated software solutions for Fault Detection & Classification for the semiconductor industry. Before that, Richard Mousties started his career as Instrumentation Engineer at Semy Engineering in Montpellier, France.

Morstad has served as vice president of business operations since 2001, after joining PDF on its IPO team in 2000. Before that, he was a principal for nine years in the business consultancy of Montgomery Morstad Inc., serving its clients TSMC, KLA-Tencor, Texas Instruments, and SEMATECH. Before that, Morstad served in government and law, including at the firm of Foley & Lardner. He earned his B.A. and J.D. from Marquette University.

Dr. Caulfield joined Novellus in October of 2005. He is responsible for marketing and selling Novellus' products and services throughout the company's global sales and service regions. Prior to joining Novellus, Dr. Caulfield spent 16 years at IBM. In his most recent assignment as vice president of 300 MM Semiconductor Operations, Dr. Caulfield was responsible for the financial management and operation of IBM's premier semiconductor facility located in East Fishkill, New York. Prior to joining IBM he worked at Philips Laboratory as a senior member of the research staff. He began his career working at Columbia University. Dr. Caulfield earned two undergraduate degrees—one in materials science/metallurgy from Columbia University and another in physics from St. Lawrence University. He received both his master's and doctorate degrees in materials science/metallurgy from Columbia University. Dr. Caulfield serves on the board of directors of PDF Solutions, Inc.

A director since August 2005. Mr. Heinrichs, who has been appointed Chairman of the Audit Committee, currently is a private investor and serves on a number of public and private company boards. He brings over 30 years experience in finance and operations through positions held in public accounting and, most recently, before his retirement in 2001, as Chief Financial Officer of Avistar Communications Corporation, a publicly-held video communications company he co-founded and for which he presently serves as a director. From January 2003, until the company was acquired in 2005, Mr. Heinrichs was a member of the board of directors of Artisan Components and was its audit committee chairman. Mr. Heinrichs received a B.S. in Accounting from California State University Fresno and is a Certified Public Accountant.
