Peak is a diversified energy services organization providing oil field equipment and related services to the energy industry in western Canada and the mid-western United States of America. Founded in 1996, Peak has experienced significant growth by acquiring complementary service companies, integrating services and diversifying product lines. Peak operates two segments: Drilling Services and Production Services. The Drilling Services segment offers well-site accommodations, solids control, access matting, environmental services and other drilling related assets. The Production Services segment offers products and services focused towards the completion and production of oil and gas wells and includes products and services such as wireline, 400 BBL upright tanks, pressure vessels, service rig equipment, pumps, blowback tanks, flare stacks and specialized fluid handling services. From August 1996 to June 2006 the Company has successfully completed 25 acquisitions for a total investment of approximately $191 million. Effective April 1, 2004, Peak streamlined its operations by consolidating all of its entities and their respective assets into one full service operation under the "Peak" brand. Curt Whitteron joined Peak as Vice President, Operations in August 1996, was subsequently promoted to Chief Operating Officer in 2003 and in June 2005 received a promotion to President & Chief Operating Officer. Mr. Whitteron has enjoyed a career that has spanned over 29 years in various capacities throughout the oilfield services industry. Prior to Peak, Curt was with Canadian Fracmaster where he was responsible for marketing and technical sales. Prior to that, he spent most of his career in the drilling industry where he held various field and management positions for Precision Drilling Corporation and some of its predecessor companies. Mr. Whitteron also has two years of international experience where he worked with Dowell Schlumberger as a Service Engineer in the Middle East Region. Mr. Whitteron is a graduate of the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology and is a Certified Engineering Technologist. Mr. Whitteron is also a Director of the Petroleum Services Association of Canada.
