Patrick J. O Dea has served as Chief Executive Officer, President and as a director since May 2002. From April 1997 to March 2001, he was CEO of Archway/Mother s Cookies and Mother s Cake & Cookie Company. From 1995 to 1997, Mr. O Dea was the Vice President and General Manager of the Specialty Cheese Division of Stella Foods. From 1984 to 1995, he was with Procter & Gamble, where he marketed several of the company s snack and beverage brands.

P. Christine Lansing joined the Company as Vice President, Chief Marketing Officer in October 2005. She assumed additional responsibility for the management of the grocery channel in October 2007 and in November 2008 became the Vice President, General Manager Consumer Business (grocery and home delivery), leading the strategic planning and implementation of Peet s grocery expansion and innovation efforts. From May 2002 to October 2005, Ms. Lansing served as Vice President of Marketing, Flagship Brands for The Hershey Company. From August 1989 to April 2002, she held a breadth of marketing positions with Procter & Gamble in the United States and Western Europe.

Thomas P. Cawley has served as Chief Financial Officer since July 2003. From August 2000 to June 2003, he was at Gap, Inc. serving as Chief Financial Officer, Gap Brand. From 1986 to August 2000, Mr. Cawley was at PepsiCo/Yum Brands (formerly Tricon Global Restaurants), holding various positions such as Director of Finance, Vice President Controller, and Chief Financial Officer of Pizza Hut. Previous to 1986, Mr. Cawley was with The Quaker Oats Company and General Foods.

After Doug joined Peet's in 1994, he became a tasting trainer, and his interest in coffee grew. Today, Doug oversees the company's coffee purchasing, inventory management and quality control. Doug works directly with the world's top coffee producers to set the highest standards for growing, harvesting and processing the finest beans. And at the start of each day, along with our expert roasters, Doug tastes each roast to ensure every coffee we roast produces the best possible cup of coffee.

Kay L. Bogeajis has served as Vice President, Retail Operations since she joined the Company in October 2007. From January 2003 to October 2007, Ms. Bogeajis served as Vice President, Western Operations for Taco Bell Corporation, a Yum Brand company, where she was responsible for more than 1,400 stores and approximately $1.4 billion in system-wide sales. From October 2001 to January 2003, she was Vice President Systemwide Operations for Taco Bell. Previously, she held prominent retail operations and sales positions with Taco Bell, Frito-Lay, Inc., a PepsiCo company, and Burger King Corporation.

Shirin began her formative years in the coffee industry living in the coffee growing highlands of Papua New Guinea. She also lived eight years in Singapore where she was both the roaster and buyer for a small specialty chain. It is this experience that has most prepared her for her role as Peet's director of coffee purchasing, sampling roasts, crafting new blends and maintaining relationships with origin countries. Together with the Peet's team, Shirin purchases all green coffee requirements for Peet's, forecasting needs and scheduling contracts. Additionally, she helps sample all roasts, a task which can amount to sampling up to 100 cups of coffee a day.

Jim has been buying coffee for more than 30 years, and is one of the most respected and experienced professionals in the specialty coffee industry. He's an expert at selecting the high quality, green beans that are suited to Peet's challenging deep-roast style. A past director of the Specialty Coffee Association of America (SCAA), Jim speaks frequently about coffee buying, roasting and cupping at SCAA events.

David Deno, 51, joined the Board of Directors in August 2006. Mr. Deno is currently a private investor. From January 2008 to February 2009, Mr. Deno was the President and then CEO of Quiznos LLC. From August 2006 to December 2007, he was a Managing Director with the private equity firm CCMP Capital Advisors, LLC. Prior to this, he had a 15-year career with YUM! Brands, Inc. where he served as Chief Operating Officer from October 2004 to February 2006 and as Chief Financial Officer from November 1999 to October 2004.

Elizabeth Sartain, 54, has served as director of the Company since October 2007. Ms. Sartain currently serves as an independent Human Resource Advisor and Consultant. She previously served as an executive vice president and chief people Yahoo at Yahoo! Inc. from 2001 to 2008. Before joining Yahoo!, Ms. Sartain held executive and officer positions at Southwest Airlines, where she led all human resources functions. Ms. Sartain is the co-author of three widely-read books on successful employment strategies and contributes regularly to industry and business publications on human resource management issues.

Alfred Peet introduced Jerry to coffee selecting, blending and roasting in 1970. In 1984, Jerry bought Peet's simply because, as he put it, "Peet’s had the best coffee." Over the last 24 years, Jerry has carried forward Peet's commitment to roasting the highest-quality coffee and delivering it fresh. Jerry is a member of the board of TechnoServe and a founding contributor of the American Institute of Wine and Food. He has served as Chairman and Trustee of Coffee Quality Institute and is both a recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award of the Specialty Coffee Association of America and an honorary member of the Kilimanjaro Specialty Coffee Growers Association, known as Kilicafe.

Ms. Billings has served as a member of our board of directors since November 2003. Since April 2003, Ms. Billings has served as brand strategist of RedEnvelope, Inc., an Internet retailer of upscale gifts. From February 2000 to April 2003, Ms. Billings served as chief marketing officer and chairman of the board of RedEnvelope, Inc. From June 1999 to February 2000, Ms. Billings served as chief executive officer of RedEnvelope, Inc. From May 1999 to June 1999, Ms. Billings served as chief merchandising officer of RedEnvelope, Inc. From July 1997 to May 1999, Ms. Billings served as senior vice president of brand design for Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc., a hotel and leisure company. Ms. Billings is currently a member of the boards of directors of Peet's Coffee and Tea, Inc., a publicly held coffee and tea retailer, and Hanna Andersson, Inc., a privately held multi-channel specialty apparel company. Ms. Billings holds a B.A. from Brown University.

Ted W. Hall is an entrepreneur and business leader with extensive operating and consulting experience in technology-related businesses, professional services, financial services, and natural resources. Mr. Hall served for more than 27 years as a leader and operating manager of McKinsey & Company, a leading global consulting firm. He served as an elected member of the McKinsey shareholder committee, which is McKinsey's board of directors, for 12 years. The General Partner of Long Meadow Ranch and President of the associated Long Meadow Ranch Winery in Napa Valley, Mr. Hall also serves as Chairman of Tambourine, Inc., a specialty music production and distribution company. He is Managing Director of Mayacamas Associates, his own consulting firm. He is also a former Chairman of the Board of the Robert Mondavi Corporation, a global producer of fine wines. He has served on the boards of directors of a wide variety of educational and civic organizations, including the Stanford Business School's Advisory Council, and the San Francisco Symphony. A former professional trombonist and record producer, Mr. Hall is a member of the National Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences. He holds a BSE in electrical engineering from Princeton University and an MBA from Stanford University.
