Enrico was appointed C.E.O. of Penguin Computing in November 2003 and Chairman in 2004. Before joining Penguin Computing, Enrico was CEO of BlueArc, a network attached storage company. Before BlueArc he served as senior vice president and group general manager of Compaq's enterprise solutions and services group. Enrico was also president of Tandem Computers, Inc. and joined Compaq when it acquired Tandem Computers in 1997. Before joining Tandem, Enrico was vice president and general manager of Digital Equipment Corporation's Computer Systems Division. Enrico earned a Masters degree in Electronic Engineering from Polytechnic Institute in Turin, Italy.

Donald joined Penguin through its acquisition of Scyld Computing. Donald is an internationally recognized operating system developer and the original inventor of Beowulf clustering. In 1999 he founded Scyld Computing and led the development of the next-generation Beowulf cluster operating system. Prior to founding Scyld, Donald started the Beowulf Parallel Workstation project at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center. He is the co-author of How to Build a Beowulf: A Guide to the Implementation and Application of PC Clusters. With colleagues from the California Institute of Technology and the Los Alamos National Laboratory, he was the recipient of the IEEE Computer Society 1997 Gordon Bell Prize for Price/Performance. Donald holds a B.S. degree from Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Frank joined Penguin Computing in May 2005. He has more than 20 years of senior executive experience, including president, C.O.O., C.F.O. and E.V.P. roles with large organizations and start-ups. He was president, C.O.O. and C.F.O. of Scientific Learning Corporation, a software company that he joined when it was a pre-product start-up and led it through private financings and an initial public offering (IPO). Previously, Frank was E.V.P. and C.F.O. of MusicNet, a start-up backed by top tier venture firms. Earlier in his career Frank held senior general management, operations, and financial positions at Ingram Entertainment Inc. and Commtron Corporation, market-leading distributors in the home entertainment industry. Frank has served on the board of directors of several public, private and non-profit enterprises. He earned a B.S. in Accountancy at Miami University in Ohio, and an M.A. in Economics from the University of Wisconsin at Milwaukee.

Andreas joined Penguin Computing in March of 2005, where he first managed hardware engineering for the clustering division before taking over Scyld software development. Andreas has managed a variety of software engineering groups for over 20 years. Before Penguin, Andreas was Director of Software Development and Operations at OpenGrid, Inc. a leading mobile messaging company. He was instrumental in ensuring the uninterrupted availability of OpenGrid's web operations. A native of Hamburg, Germany, Andreas came to the United States in 1992 to set up operations for the German software company StarDivision, acting as General Manager for StarOffice, a multi platform office suite. The company was later sold to Sun Microsystems which released StarOffice under the now popular name of OpenOffice. Andreas is a graduate of the Hamburg School of Business, specializing in Computer Science.

David joined Penguin Computing in February 2007 and is responsible for executing the company's software and services strategy. David brings more than 15 years experience in enterprise software sales at companies, such as, GoldenGate Software, Versant Corporation, IBM, Select Software and Digitalk-ParcPlace. Most recently, David was the Worldwide Program Director for Versant's Open Access Products for both Java and .Net where he was responsible for all revenue generation activities, including direct sales, channels and marketing. In this position he also led the initiative to open source Versant's Java solution via the Eclipse Foundation. David has a B.S in Computer Science and a B.A. Business Administration from California State University, Fullerton.

Eric joined Penguin Computing in October 2005 as a Senior Financial Analyst and is responsible for manufacturing, sales operations, and financial planning. Prior to Penguin Computing, Eric had 10 years experience in senior positions at Macromedia, Scientific Learning and Chevron Financial Corporation. At Macromedia he managed reseller and channel distribution programs for the Americas. At Scientific Learning Eric supported the CFO in strategic and operating planning, investor relations, and financial analysis. Eric holds a B.A. in Economics from Denison University.

Garth joined Penguin Computing in October, 2004 as Director of IT and is responsible for a broad range of IT, ERP, facilities, support and service activities. Prior to Penguin Computing, Garth had 14 years experience in technical operations, development, ERP and systems administration for Opsource, Accelica, TRE and Echelon. Garth has been responsible for global operations, 24/7 IT services teams, and the design and implementation of online services. Garth holds a BA in Computer Science from University of California, Santa Cruz and spent a year studying engineering and doing IT consulting in Australia.

John joined Penguin Computing in April 2003, bringing over 22 years of manufacturing experience to his role leading manufacturing for Penguin Computing. He joined Penguin from Power Computing, the first and most successful Mac clone manufacturer. Prior to that, he held leadership roles in Operations with Sensory Inc., a leader in voice recognition hardware and software and before that, with Winnov LP, a pioneer in video conferencing/streaming video. Before joining Winnov, John spent 8 years at Calera Recognition Systems, a leader in OCR hardware and software. John studied Business Administration at University of Southern California while serving in the US Marine Corps.

Matt joined Penguin Computing in June 1999 with an extensive sales background. Prior to joining Penguin, Matt served as the Western Regional Sales Manager for the Server and Storage division of American Megatrends, Inc. There, he significantly increased AMI's presence in the Western U.S., established a reseller program and was instrumental in the formation of the company's Linux strategy. Before his time at AMI, Matt spent five years as an international commodities trader where he sourced, marketed and sold commodities throughout Europe, South America, the U.S. and Asia. He holds a B.A. from the University of Georgia.

Stephen joined Penguin Computing in January 2006. Stephen is the Corporate Officer responsible for all financial affairs, corporate governance, investor relations, legal, human resources and administrative functions. Stephen has 15 years of senior financial executive and management experience working for private and public companies in software, hardware and financial industries. Most recently, Stephen was a Corporate Officer and served as Vice President and Corporate Controller of Candescent Technologies, and took on other key executive roles before and after Candescent's acquisition by Canon Inc. Prior to Candescent, Stephen held senior financial management positions at Intel Corporation, Innovative Interfaces, and Great Western Financial, which merged with Washington Mutual. Stephen has served on the Board of Directors of technology and non-profit enterprises. Stephen earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance and Accounting from San Francisco State University. Stephen is an active member of Financial Executives International.

Cameron Steele brings 13 years of investment and operational experience to San Francisco Equity Partners, focusing in the past eight years on extensive work with expansion-stage technology companies, as both an advisor and an investor. Cameron serves on the board of directors of The Guild, and works closely with Penguin Computing and ModViz. Before joining SFEP, Cameron spent seven years on Wall Street, in active portfolio management and advisory roles. Most recently, he was a Vice President and Technology Equity Analyst for McMorgan & Company, supporting an actively managed $5 billion equity portfolio and providing analytical guidance for the communications equipment, computer hardware, semiconductor, software, Internet, and business service industries. Cameron spent six years with RBC Capital Markets as Managing Director and Equity Research Analyst covering the enterprise software market. During his tenure at RBC and its predecessor firms, he covered over thirty software companies, including Intuit, Oracle, PeopleSoft, SAP, and Siebel Systems. He wrote extensively on the software industry, technology trends, business model development, and company valuation, and acted as a trusted advisor to institutional investors and company management teams. Prior to his career on Wall Street, Cameron worked as a Product Manager at Verity, Inc. and spent four years at Oracle Corporation, where he was a Manager in the company's Domestic Finance and Sales Operations Group. Cameron received his BA in Political Science from Stanford University and holds a master's degree in Business Administration from the Amos Tuck School of Business Administration at Dartmouth College. He lives in San Francisco and is married with two daughters.

A high tech pioneer, Ed Ekstrom is managing director of vSpring Capital. Before joining the vSpring team, Ed served as vice president of the Intel Communications Products Group and general manager of the Intel Utah Software Development Center, a post given to him after Intel acquired LANSystems where Ed was a principal. Prior to Intel, Ed was a vice president at CeriSyn and a founder at Cericor, which was acquired by Hewlett Packard in 1985. Ed is a trustee at Westminster College and a director of the Economic Development Corporation of Utah. Ed is the former chairman of the Utah Information Technologies Association. Ed holds a BS in computer science from Brigham Young University and a MBA from Westminster College. Ed led the firm's investment in Cemaphore, Fatpipe Networks, Gandiva, LanDesk Software, Levanta, XAware, and Soronti which was acquired by Avocent (NASDAQ: AVCT).

Sam founded Penguin Computing, Inc. in 1998. He served as CEO twice, from 1998-2000, and from 2002-2003. Sam was CTO from 2000-2002, and was Chairman of the board from 1998-2004. Prior to founding Penguin Computing, he held the position of software director at VA Linux, formerly known as VA Research. A recognized industry spokesperson, Sam serves on various advisory councils and frequently delivers keynote presentations and panel addresses at leading high technology conferences. Sam holds a B.S. degree in computer systems engineering and a B.A. in political science from Stanford University. One of the five pioneers who coined the term "Open Source," he is the co-editor of Open Sources: Voices From the Open Source Revolution.

Scott Potter is the founding Managing Partner of San Francisco Equity Partners. In his career as a private equity investor, CEO, and advisor, Scott has been involved in over 75 private equity financings, 20 public offerings, and 15 M&A transactions. He currently serves as chairman of The Guild, and serves on the boards of directors for MCF Corporation (AMEX: MEM), Method Products, Penguin Computing, Rave Motion Pictures, and Modviz, Inc. Prior to founding SFEP, Scott served as a Managing Director of LMS Capital, the private equity arm of London Merchant Securities plc (LON: LMSO), where he oversaw LMS Capital's North American Private Equity and Venture Capital portfolio. Before joining LMS Capital, Scott served as Senior Vice President of Field Operations at Inktomi Corporation, where he had responsibility for Inktomi's sales force, business development, consulting services, and field offices. From 1999-2002, Scott served as President and CEO of Quiver, Inc., an enterprise software company backed by several leading Private Equity and Venture Capital firms. He oversaw all aspects of Quiver's growth, including its acquisition of Global 2000 customers such as Federal Express, Pepsi Bottling Group, and Northwestern Mutual Life. Quiver was acquired by Inktomi in August 2002. Prior to Quiver, Scott served as Executive Vice President at Worldres, Inc., a venture-backed online travel company. His career began as a corporate finance attorney for Silicon Valley law firm Venture Law Group where his practice focused on private and public financings, mergers & acquisitions, and corporate partnering transactions. Scott's client list included industry leaders such as Yahoo!, Intel, and WebTV Networks, as well as several prominent venture capital firms and investment banks. Scott holds a JD from UC Berkley's Boalt Hall School of Law and a BA in Industrial Psychology from the University of California at Berkeley. He lives in San Francisco with his wife Dara and enjoys spending time at their home in Lake Tahoe where he is a volunteer at the Tahoe Adaptive Ski School.
