The Peppertree Restaurant has been a staple of the Oskaloosa community since opening in 1994. We offer an extensive menu, comfortable elegant atmosphere, and first class quality service. August of 2000 we added over 3500 square feet to our facilities to include a grand ballroom and gourmet gift shoppe, allowing us to accommodate receptions and meetings of up to 300 people. January of 2004 we also converted part of the existing building into Pepper's Bar and Grill. In addition to our in-house services we are also available for catering and off-site banquets. In November of 2004, Steve Tibbitts purchased The Peppertree, bringing 20 years of food and beverage experience with him. His commitment is to not only maintain the Peppertree's great reputation of quality food and service, but to improve the overall dining experience. Since November we have installed in Peppers Bar and Grill a state of the art audio and video system boasting three large flat screen plasma TVs. to ensure that you won't miss the big game. We have other renovations scheduled to continue improving our facility, making The Peppertree and Pepper's Bar and Grill your destination for food and fun in Oskaloosa.

Carl J. Tippit, CFA, is a Managing Director of Peppertree Partners and Chief Financial Officer of both Peppertree Partners and Peppertree Capital Management, Inc. Mr. Tippit joined Peppertree in 2000 after working in various executive positions for the past 20 years. Mr. Tippit previously was President and chief executive officer of Business Sound, Inc., a company he founded in 1990. Prior to Business Sound, Mr. Tippit spent three years as chief financial officer of a privately held biotech company and two years as a private equity investment officer for International Management Group (IMG) in Cleveland. Earlier, he was one of the pioneering lending officers that formed the Media Lending Group at Key Bank. Mr. Tippit was awarded the Chartered Financial Analyst designation in 1989. He holds a B.A. from Williams College and an M.B.A. from The University of Chicago.
