Herbert (Herb) R. Kral is Director of Managed Futures at Peregrine Financial Group, Inc. (PFG). Herb has honed his skill for accommodating high net worth clients by matching these clients to appropriate Commodity Trading Advisors, trading systems and managed futures products. Beginning his career in the futures industry in 1995 at Linnco Futures in Chicago, Herb was responsible for broker client service and worked with compliance. In 1998 he moved to Refco and served as a senior account representative. Generating 10% of total division revenues through sales of $8.2 million earned Herb the distinction of top sales representative in 1999. By doubling total division revenues and sales from 1999 to 2000, he remained the top sales representative again for the second year in a row. Furthermore, Herb developed, grew and maintained a new client base by adding over one thousand new accounts, thus generating $32 million worth of business in just two and a half years. In light of Herb's success cultivating such valuable new business, he was promoted to the role of director with Refco Private Client Group. As director of the systems division with Refco beginning in 2001, Herb produced new divisional business by satisfying high net worth customers and identifying new growth opportunities. Leading a team of three, he coordinated and implemented various programs to increase sales while providing consultation and education to new and existing clients. On top of maintaining $11 million worth of equity, Herb generated $6 million in new customer business via a 30 product line offering during a dismal market period. Along with his wife and two children, Herb resides Glen Ellyn, IL. When not working Herb likes to travel with his family and work on his golf swing.
Nolan J. Schiff is Director of Managed Foreign Exchange at Peregrine Financial Group, Inc. (PFG), a futures commission merchant with brokerage and branch offices around the world. Nolan brought his extensive knowledge of the foreign exchange markets to PFG to hasten the company's growth in managed foreign exchange. As director, Nolan brings large, successful foreign exchange investment managers to retail customers by delegating the transactions to PFG's large network of brokers, branches, and Commodity Trading Advisors (CTAs.) Foreign exchange markets are among the largest in the world. After studying at Ohio University and working as an entrepreneur in 2000, Schiff began to work the night desk at R.J. O'Brien in Chicago as a foreign exchange dealer. In 2002, deciding that his real professional zeal was in currency trading, he divested from his entrepreneurial endeavor and joined Refco F/X Associates, LLC as the vice president of foreign exchange, responsible for customer service. While advancing Refco's client equity in these markets, he developed dozens of new introducing brokers (IBs) and CTAs focused on foreign exchange. Next, he returned to R.J. O'Brien in 2003 as vice president of foreign exchange and business development. There, for two years, Schiff was instrumental in the design and launch of multiple managed account programs, consisting of varying assets and ranging in value from $1 million to $10 million. He also assisted in the design and creation of a foreign-exchange-only private placement fund and a managed account program which grew to $16 million in AUM in just six months. He was key in starting the IB program, attracting over 40 IB's in the first year. His other accomplishments at R.J. O'Brien include setting up a scalable trade entry system, establishing the internal processes to handle rapid client growth and forming a new retail forex entity. Nolan resides in Glen Ellyn with his wife and two children. In his spare time he likes to golf and spend time with his family.
