Arun Chandra joined SumTotal Systems as chief executive officer in October 2008, tasked with guiding the company's strategy and managing global operations. Chandra brings more than 20 years of technology leadership experience to his position and is a driven leader with general management, strategic marketing, and operational skills in global markets. Chandra is a veteran of Hewlett-Packard where he began his career as a software engineer in 1985. During his 20-year tenure at HP, Chandra held many general management and senior functional leadership positions, his final as vice president worldwide marketing, strategy & alliances for the Technology Solution Group, a $30 billion enterprise portfolio spanning multiple software, services and systems business units. Earlier in his career with HP, he served as general manager of several growing businesses including the PC Direct business. He left HP in 2005 to serve as the president and chief executive officer of iPolicy Networks, a network security company. Most recently, Chandra served as vice president of corporate operations at Unisys where he led the company's change management efforts as member of the CEO staff. He also managed a broad range of corporate functions including the office of the CTO, corporate strategy & development, worldwide marketing and global alliances, among others. Chandra graduated from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur, with a Bachelor of Technology degree in Computer Science. Additionally, he earned a Masters degree in Computer Science from Ohio State University and an MBA from Santa Clara University. He has also completed executive education courses at Harvard University, Stanford University, and the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

David Crussell directs a worldwide team that manages SumTotal's day-to-day business across five continents. As chief operating officer, he guides research and development, worldwide sales, marketing and communications, strategic alliances and professional services. Crussell also coordinates and focuses the company's employees and resources to tackle industry-leading initiatives. Before SumTotal, Crussell served as senior vice president of worldwide operations for Docent. While there, he led global alliances, technical operations and professional services. Crussell brings substantial experience in running the daily operations of a technology company, improving processes and generating revenue through strategic partnerships. Prior to joining Docent, Crussell served as chief operations officer of SteelPoint Technologies. Boston-based SteelPoint was a provider of strategic Web-based content management solutions. At SteelPoint, Crussell drove the company to record sales bookings in 2001, despite a sharp downturn in the economy. Before that, Crussell was the senior vice president and general manager of the Radiation Treatment Planning (RTP) software division of ADAC Laboratories. He was responsible for business in the United States, Europe and Asia. At ADAC Labs, he increased his division's market share as well as profitability. Crussell did this by not only forging strategic relationships with other manufacturers and luminary customers but also creating ways to improve the efficiency of ADAC's operations. Prior to ADAC, Crussell worked for General Electric Medical Systems as an engineering manager. David Crussell holds a bachelor's degree in mathematics and computer science from Southampton University.

Erika is Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary of LinkedIn. Prior to LinkedIn, Erika served as General Counsel for two public technology companies, providing valuable experience in dealing with the regulatory policies and challenges specific to technology centric public companies. Most recently, Erika was Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary, for Nasdaq-listed SumTotal Systems. Prior to SumTotal, Rottenberg was Vice President, Strategic Development and General Counsel of Creative Labs, the company that brought multimedia to the PC with the Sound Blaster sound card. Erika received her law degree from Berkeley’s Boalt School of Law and started her legal career at the Silicon Valley technology based law firm of Cooley Godward.

Murray Laidley has been the senior vice president of Engineering for SumTotal Systems since February 2007. In this role, he leads a worldwide team in charge of architecture, technology, infrastructure and quality assurance for SumTotal’s award-winning talent development software suite. Laidley brings over 25 years of technology experience to SumTotal, and has held senior-level IT positions for the past 15 years. Most recently, as vice president of Research & Development for Data Analysis Products at Seattle-based Insightful, he oversaw software engineering, quality assurance, documentation, engineering services and architecture for an integrated family of enterprise software products. Prior to his role at Insightful, Laidley served as vice president of Technology for another Seattle company, Qpass. While with Qpass, he assisted in the company’s product launch by creating and implementing processes for software development, quality assurance and delivery. Laidley's previous career also includes positions at Texas Instruments, Halliburton Company and McGraw-Hill's School System Division. He received a B.S. degree in Geophysics from the University of British Columbia, Vancouver, Canada.

Jack Kramer leads SumTotal Sales, Marketing and Services across Africa, Asia/Pacific, Europe, India, Latin America and the Middle East. Kramer previously served as SumTotal's vice president of Intercontinental Sales covering Asia/Pacific, India and Latin America. Prior to his post as vice president of Intercontinental Sales, Kramer was vice president of Global Alliances for SumTotal. In that role, he oversaw strategy, sales, and support for partners specializing in business process outsourcing, SI, OEM and content. Before SumTotal's acquisition of Pathlore Software Corporation in October 2005, Kramer led Pathlore's North American sales force. Prior to joining Pathlore, Kramer earned kudos at both start-ups and publicly traded companies for turning around poorly performing teams, revamping processes and supercharging sales. His experience selling enterprise business applications spans more than 17 years. Earlier in his career, he held roles selling enterprise software applications for Computer Associates, Pansophic and NCR Corporation. He received a bachelor's degree in marketing from The Pennsylvania State University.

Jon Ciampi is the vice president of Product Management for SumTotal Systems. In this role, he oversees activities for all of the company's product marketing and management organizations, while driving the ongoing development of corporate product strategy. Ciampi previously served as vice president and general manager of Performance Management and On Demand Solutions Strategy for SumTotal, where he built the company's market leadership in the performance management industry. Ciampi's executive management career also includes roles as vice president of marketing and product management and senior director of product management for SumTotal. Joining Docent in 2002, he was responsible for the product integration efforts during the merger between Docent and Click2learn that resulted in the formation of SumTotal, as well as for the later integration efforts during the acquisition of Pathlore. Prior to these roles, Ciampi founded nSeconds, Inc., a venture-backed startup focused on enterprise wireless applications. He also spent time with Oracle Corporation as a technical consultant. Ciampi holds an undergraduate degree in Business Administration from University of the Pacific.

Pam Drew is now responsible for worldwide human resources at SumTotal Systems after having successfully completed a consulting engagement with Docent and Click2learn to provide integration guidance during the merger which formed the company. Previously, Ms Drew was the VP Human Resources and Workplace Environment at Cylink Corporation, a publicly traded enterprise security company which was acquired by SafeNet Inc. in 2003. Prior to this role, Ms Drew directed the global human resources function for Honeywell-Measurex Corporation, a provider of advanced process control solutions with over 3,000 employees worldwide. She was promoted to this role after serving in a variety of human resources leadership positions for Measurex Corporation before that publicly traded company was acquired by Honeywell in 1997. Ms Drew's educational background includes a Bachelor's degree in Business and an MBA.

Patricia Lughezzani came to SumTotal Systems in July 2008 as the company's vice president of Global Support. In this role, Lughezzani leverages more than 15 years of international business experience as she works to sustain SumTotal's continued growth in worldwide visibility and momentum. Lughezzani's career has helped her develop extensive expertise in building, revitalizing and optimizing organizations related to product support and development, service pack development, and quality assurance. Most recently, she served as vice president of Worldwide Sustaining Engineering for Business Objects, where she established the Product Support/Sustaining Engineering Organization for the company's entire product portfolio. Leading a global team of 225 employees, Lughezzani helped increase overall efficiency, reduce costs and enhance customer satisfaction. Prior to working with Business Objects, Lughezzani held a key position at Vantive that quickly translated into a role as vice president of Technical Services for Customer Relationship Management following the merger with PeopleSoft. This role tasked her with managing global product services and customer support organizations, and called on her unique blend of expertise in strategic planning, process and procedures development, customer relationship management, and team leadership. Lughezzani holds a B.S. in Business Administration with a minor in marketing and a concentration in computer science from Central Michigan University.

Ravi Balwada joined SumTotal Systems in August 2008 as vice president of On Demand Operations. In this pivotal position, Balwada is responsible for overseeing all aspects of SumTotal's hosting and ResultsonDemand (RoD) initiatives. Balwada's background includes more than 15 years in senior management positions for global technology businesses. Most recently, from 2005-2008, he served as senior director of On Demand Global Operations at Oracle, where he transformed the company's On Demand offering into an adaptive, scalable and highly optimized operating platform that delivers services to more than 1.7 million users. He also held a position as senior director of Advanced Architecture Services with Oracle from 2004-2005. Prior to working at Oracle, Balwada spent several years conceiving and building Global Technology Management Group, Inc., an IT services business with offices in both China and the United States. His reputation as a catalyst for new business growth also earned him a role as vice president for The Carlyle Group from 2000-2003. During that time, he developed a compelling investment and growth strategy for early stage technology companies in Asia. Balwada's career also includes a senior position as director of Database Systems & Infrastructure at Amazon.com, where he steered industry-leading architecture, synergized operations, and helped pioneer an environment for delivering optimum availability and performance in high-volume online commerce. Balwada received a Bachelor of Technology degree in Industrial Engineering from the Birla Institute of Technology in Mesra, India.

Rich Walsh is responsible for Customer Support, Hosting and On Demand Services as well as corporate Information Technology at SumTotal Systems. Prior to this role, Mr. Walsh was Vice President of Operations and CIO at Cylink Corporation, a global supplier of enterprise security solutions. While at Cylink, Rich led significant financial and operating performance improvements in the Manufacturing and Customer Service functions, served as the executive facilitator for the corporate quality management system and was part of the leadership team which concluded a successful acquisition of the company by SafeNet Inc. in 2003. Before joining Cylink, Rich was Director of IT for Honeywell-Measurex Corporation, where he rapidly developed and deployed a new IT architecture to complement new business strategies for this global industrial automation solutions provider. Mr. Walsh holds a B.A. in Computer Science and English Literature from LaSalle College, and an MBA from Temple University.

Bill Perry has more than 16 years of experience in public relations, government affairs, marketing communications and special events. His clients have ranged from high-tech start-up firms to global healthcare companies to local and state government agencies. Over the years, he s won praise from journalists at The New York Times, The Washington Post and Fortune for not only his nose for news but also his responsiveness and candor. Currently, Perry is director of global public relations for SumTotal Systems, a California-based software firm. He leads analyst and media relations across the Americas, Asia, Australia and Europe. Prior to SumTotal Systems, Perry directed public relations for Chicago-based Participate.com, a manager of online communities for Fortune 500 firms. His efforts, in part, made Participate one of Chicago s most-watched technology start-ups. By offering an even-handed look at the ups and downs of building an internet business, Perry earned the trust of local and national media. This translated into feature stories for Participate.com with media including CNNfn, Forbes, The Chicago Tribune, The New York Times and The Wall Street Journal. Perry s background also includes roles with both public relations and public affairs firms. His agency experience included advance work for President Clinton, nationwide store openings for Target and issues management on behalf of a number of politicians and corporations. Over the years, he has written articles about technology for numerous trade magazines, The Chicago Tribune and new media. He has spoken on the topic of public relations. And he has worked as a freelance editorial cartoonist. Perry s honors include awards from the New York Press Association, Ragan Communications and the Chicago Financial Advertisers. He is an associate of the Society of Professional Journalists. Perry graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor s degree from George Mason University.

Jack Acosta is chairman of the board. He has also served as a member of the board of directors and as chairman of the audit committee since March 2004. He is an independent director and the audit committee financial expert. Acosta was previously a member of the board of directors, chairman of the Audit Committee and a member of the governance committee of Docent Inc. He also currently serves on the boards of Commerce One and Integral Development. Acosta served as Chief Financial Officer and Vice President, Finance for Portal Software from February 1999 until September 2001. In addition, Acosta served as Secretary for Portal Software from February 1999 through April 1999. From July 1996 to January 1999, Acosta served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for Sybase, Inc., a database company. From December 1994 until July 1996, Acosta served as Vice President, Engineering Services, Integration and Business Management of Sybase. From March 1993 until December 1994, Acosta served as President, Chief Operating Officer and a director of Tanon Manufacturing, Inc., a manufacturing and engineering services company. Prior to March 1993, Acosta held various management positions at Ungermann-Bass, Inc., Atari, Inc., Diablo Systems, Inc., and Ford Motor Company.

John Cone consults and writes on issues of organizational learning, with emphasis on strategy and technology. He was one of the founders Motorola University and was responsible for start up of each of its major components. He was Vice President of HR and CLO for Sequent, where he launched Sequent University and created the company's first comprehensive quality strategy, and spent six years as creator and VP of Dell Learning. John has been featured in Fast Company, T&D, HR, and Selling Power Magazines, Corporate University Review, and was named by Training Magazine as one of the new visionaries in organizational learning. His work has been profiled in four books on organizational learning and the organizations he has led have received numerous awards. John has served as Chair of the Board of ASTD, the board of ASTD's e-learning certification institute, the Editorial Board of Strategic HR Review, and the boards of Click2Learn and Storied Learning.
