Perma-Fix Environmental Services, Inc. is a national environmental services company, providing unique hazardous, mixed and industrial waste management services. The Industrial Services Division provides waste treatment services for a diverse group of customers including Fortune 500 Companies, numerous Federal, State and local agencies and thousands of smaller clients. The Nuclear Services Division provides radioactive and mixed waste treatment services to hospitals, research laboratories and institutions, numerous Federal agencies including the Department of Energy and Defense and Nuclear utilities. The Company operates nine major waste treatment facilities across the country. Perma-Fix began in 1990 as a treatment and reclamation company for hazardous and industrial waste and completed a public offering in December 1992 to facilitate a series of acquisitions, primarily of treatment and reclamation technologies and facilities. Perma-Fix's core business is focused on three areas: - Industrial waste treatment - Mixed waste (radioactive and hazardous) - Environmental consulting services The Company has made strides toward setting the standard for developing safe, effective, low-cost technologies for the treatment of nuclear mixed waste and wastewater/industrial waste. Perma-Fix has achieved several breakthroughs in developing and implementing new significant applications to the industrial waste markets as well as the mixed waste market.
