Jose Sergio Gabrielli de Azevedo has been the CEO of Petrobras since July 2005. Previously, he was the company’s Chief Financial Officer and Director of Investor Relations, a position he took-over in January 2003. For his performance at Petrobras, he has been granted several awards. In 2004, for the work he did as the company’s Chief Financial Officer and Director of Investor Relations, he was elected "The Equilibrist of the Year" by the Brazilian Institute of Finance Executives (IBEF). Also in 2004, he was acknowledged as the “finance highlight” by the 20th ANEFAC Professionals of the Year Awards for 2004. Abroad, among other awards, in 2005 he was elected “Latin America’s Best Finance Executive" by the International Stevie Business Awards, and, in 2007, the Energy Executive of the Year by the Petroleum Economist Awards, in London. Before Petrobras, Gabrielli held several academic positions, among which that of visiting researcher at the London School of Economics and Political Science. Gabrielli is a full professor on leave from the Federal University of Bahia. He holds a PhD in economics from Boston University, is a native of the city of Salvador, in Bahia, and is 59 years old.

Almir Guilherme Barbassa has been Petrobras’ Chief Financial Officer and Investor Relations Director since July 21 2005. Previously, he had been the Executive Manager for Corporate Finances, a position he took over on July 12 1999. Barbassa holds a Master’s Degree in Economics from the Get?lio Vargas Foundation/RJ. Born in Rio de Janeiro. Graduated in geology from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro. Petrobras employee since 1965, he acquired a vast experience in Petrobras, retiring from the Company in 1994. He joined the Company as a geologist and became Exploration Manager for Braspetro in Iraq (1976-1978). He was head of Interpretation of the Brazilian East Coast Basins and Organic Geochemistry sectors and of the Exploration Division; Superintendent for Research and Development in Exploration, Drilling and Production; and General Superintendent for the Company's Research Center (Cenpes). He was president of the RJ branch, councilor and National Vice-president of the Brazilian Geological Society as well as a member of the Brazilian Paleontology Society and the American Association of Petroleum Geologists. Mr. Paulo Roberto Costa graduated in Mechanical Engineering from the Federal University of Paran? in 1976 and specialized in Off-shore Engineering at Petrobras. From 1979 to 1994 he worked on platform installation and production development at the Campos basin in the areas of Engineering, Support Management and as Superintendent of the Southeastern Production Region. In 1995 he was promoted to General Manager of E&P Sul (Southern Brazil Exploration and Production), with responsibility for the Santos and Pelotas basins. Ramon Sosa is presently Director of External Relations and Communications of Petrobras in Venezuela. Graduated in Electrical Engineering from the Federal Fluminense University, specializing in Petroleum Engineering, completing a post-graduate MBA course at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro. Jorge Luiz Zelada is an Electronic Engineer and has worked at Petrobras since January 1980, where he began working as an instrumentation engineer at the Executive Group for the Development of the Campos Basin (“Grupo Executivo para Desenvolvimento da Bacia de Campos” – Gecan), participating in the projects of the first platforms for that basin. His previous position at the Company, which he was holding since February 2003, was of General Manager for the Implementation of Exploration Undertakings and Production and Maritime Transportation for the Engineering Area (“Gerente Geral de Implementação de Empreendimentos de Exploração e Produção e Transporte Marítimo da Área de Engenharia”), the body in charge of building production platforms. Graça Foster, as she is also known, is a native of the city of Caratinga, state of Minas Gerais, and a career Petrobras professional. A graduate in Chemical Engineering from the Federal Fluminense University (UFF), she holds a Master’s Degree in Nuclear Engineering from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (COPPE/UFRJ), and an MBA in Economics from the Getúlio Vargas Foundation. Before that, she had already held managerial positions at the Gas & Energy Business Unit and at the Leopoldo Miguez de Mello Research & Development Center (CENPES), at Petrobras, in addition to at the Transportadora Brasileira do Gasoduto Bolívia-Brasil (TBG). Graça Foster is the President of the Board of Directors of Liquigás Distribuidora S.A., Vice-President of the Board of Directors of Companhia Brasileira de Petróleo Ipiranga, and Member of the Board of Directors of the Inst. Born on May 17 1937, in the city of São Paulo (SP), Albuquerque studied at the “Escola de Aperfeiçoamento de Oficiais” (Officer Improvement School), in 1969, and graduated from the “Escola de Comando e Estado-Maior do Exército” (Army Staff Command School) in 1977. Albuquerque was promoted to his current rank on March 31 2000. When named to be the Army commander, he held the position of military commander for the Southeast, headquartered in São Paulo city. He was decorated, among other medals, with the Military Merit Order, Naval Merit Order, Air Force Merit Order, Armed Forces Merit Order, Military Judiciary Order, the Rio Branco Order, the Gold Military Medal with Platinum Bodkin, the Peacemaker Medal, the Tamandaré Merit Medal, with the Santos Dumont Merit Medal and, also, with the Amazon Service Medal. He also received the following foreign decorations: Ecuador Armed Forces Star Medal; Joint Unity Merit and Merit Service Medals, both from the United States of America; and with the Peruvian Cross Military Merit medal. Born in Genoa, Italy, on April 7 1949, Mantega is a graduate in economics from the University of São Paulo's College of Economics and Business Administration. He was a professor of economics at the Getúlio Vargas Foundation (FGV) School of Business Administration, hired in 1981. Mantega took his doctoral in Development Sociology at the University of São Paulo's College of Philosophy, Sciences and Letters, specializing at Sussex University's Institute of Development Countries (IDS), in England, in 1977. Mantega was a member of PT's Economic Program Coordination for the 1984, 1989, and 1998 presidential elections, and has been President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva's Economic Advisor since 1993. Additionally, he was one of the coordinators for PT's Economic Program in the 2002 campaign. Mantega has published dozens of articles in magazines of the likes of Revista de Economia Política, Estudos CEBRAP, and Teoria em Debate. Published books: "Acumulação Monopolista e Crises no Brasil", Editora Paz e Terra, 1981; "A Economia Política Brasileira", Vozes, 1984; "Custo Brasil - Mito ou Realidade", Vozes, 1997; "Conversas com Economistas Brasileiros II", Editora 34, 1999, among others. Mantega was the Minister of Planning, Budget, and Management through November 18 2004, when President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva named him the President of the Development Bank (BNDES). On March 28 2006, he took-over the Minister of the Treasury position and, on April 3 2006, he was elected member of the Petróleo Brasileiro S.A. (PETROBRAS), and Petrobras Distribuidora S.A. (BR) Boards of Directors.

Silas Rondeau Silva was born on December 15 1952, in Barra do Corda (MA). He is an electrical engineer graduate from the Pernambuco Federal University (UFPE), and specialized in Transmission Line Engineering at the Rio de Janeiro Federal University (UFRJ). On July 11 2005, he took over the position of State Minister of Mines and Energy. Silva was the president of Eletrobrás (2004-2005), Eletronorte (2003-2004), Manaus Energia (2000-2002), Companhia Energética do Amazonas (2000/2002), and of Boa Vista Energia (2002-2003). He started his career in the public sector at Companhia Energética do Maranhão (CEMAR), where he held several positions until being named the company's Technical and Distribution Director. A professor at the Maranhão Federal University (UFMA), Silva is on leave from that institution. Silas Silva was the Chief Executive Officer for Boa Vista Energia (BOVESA/2002-2003), an integral subsidiary of Eletronorte, a power generation and distribution utility at the Boa Vista municipality (RR). During that period, he also accumulated the position of Technical Director for BOVESA. He was also the Chief Executive Officer for Manaus Energia (MESA/2000-2002), an integral subsidiary of Eletronorte, a power generation and distribution utility at the Manaus municipality (AM). Silva was the Chief Executive Officer for the Companhia Energética do Amazonas (CEAM/2000-2002), a company that was federalized by Eletrobrás and is a power generation and distribution utility in the remaining 61 municipalities of the state of Amazonas. Professor of the Maranhão Federal University (UFMA/1979-1986), a Collaborating Professor for the Department of Mathematics and Physics at the Basic Studies Center (Administrative Rule 467/79), and Assistant Professor at the Technological Center's Department of Electric Engineering (Administrative Rule 249/81), Silva was hired after passing a public contest in 1981; At Eletronorte, he was the General Coordinator for the Presidency (1996-2000), and an Assistant for the Financial Board (1995-1996); Technical and Distribution Director for CEMAR (1986-1994); President of the Operations Coordinating Committee for the North and Northeast (CCON/1990-1991); Vice-President for Distribution, Directing Committee, Distribution Operation Sub-committee for the Transmission Line Maintenance Workgroup for the CCON (1980-1990); Department of Engineering and Construction, Department of Operations, and Division of Transmission Line Maintenance for CEMAR (1979-1986); Boa Vista Energia Board of Directors (BOVESA/2002-2003); Manaus Energia and CEAM Board of Directors (1999-2000); CEMAR Board of Directors (1992-1994); Administrative Board of the "Reviver" Project - Revitalization of the São Luís Historical Downtown region (1991-1994); International Executive MBA (Amana-Key-APG, São Paulo, 1996) and Executive MBA in Finances (IBMEC Business School, Brasília, 1999).
