Petsmart

After 10 years as a member of the PetSmart board of directors, Phil Francis joined PetSmart as president and chief executive officer in March 1998, and was named chairman of the board in October 1999. Prior to joining PetSmart, he was president and chief executive officer of Shaw's Supermarkets, Inc., a subsidiary of J. Sainsbury plc. From 1988 to July 1991, he was corporate vice president of wholesale for Roundy's Inc., a wholesale grocery distributor. Prior to joining Roundy's, Francis has extensive retail experience in various management positions with Cardinal Health and the Jewel Companies. He is a pet parent to a mixed-breed dog named Bit O'Honey.

Mary L. Miller joined PetSmart as Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer in July 2006. Ms. Miller came to PetSmart from Best Buy, where she last served as Vice President of Strategic Marketing Services from 2004 to 2006. Prior to that, Ms. Miller served as Vice President of Customer Loyalty Marketing from 2002 to 2004. Prior to that, Ms. Miller served as Vice President of Consumer and Brand Marketing from 2000 to 2002. She started at Best Buy in 1998. Previously, Ms. Miller served 13 years at The Pillsbury Company, where she began her career as a financial analyst.

David Lenhardt joined PetSmart in October 2000 as senior vice president of services, strategic planning and business development. From 1996 to 2000, he was with Bain & Company, Inc., where he led consulting teams for retail, technology and e-commerce clients. Prior to that, Lenhardt was an analyst in the corporate finance and Latin American groups of Merrill Lynch & Co.'s investment banking division. He is a pet parent to a Wheaton Terrier named Zoe.

Francesca Spinelli joined PetSmart as senior vice president, people in September 2003. Prior to joining PetSmart, she was with Radio Shack Corporation, where she served as senior vice president of people from 1999 to 2003 and vice president of people from 1998 to 1999. While with Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. from 1993 to 1998, Spinelli held the positions of corporate vice president, organizational development and was vice president, human resources - McLane Company, Inc., a former division of Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. Also, she has held progressive human resource positions with Dillashaw, Hawthorn and Company P.C., and APS, Inc. Spinelli is a pet parent to a Wheaton Terrier named Winston and an aquarium of happy community fish including three black-skirted tetra named Bucky, Willy and Herky.

Kenneth T. Hall was appointed Senior Vice President, Merchandising in January 2006. He joined PetSmart as Vice President, Strategic Planning and Customer Relationships in September 2000 and was appointed Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer in January 2003. From 1999 to 2000, Mr. Hall worked as a consultant for Bain & Company, Inc., a global management consulting firm. Prior to that, Mr. Hall held various operational and financial positions at EXXON Company, U.S.A.

Mr. Bernstein leads the firm's Liability Insurance Coverage Practice Group. He is also a member of the firm's Diversity Committee. Mr. Bernstein is Regional Litigation Counsel for PetSmart, Inc. in California and the Pacific Northwest.

In his role, Mr. Khalifa is responsible for all corporate financial activities including accounting and audit, financial planning and analysis, investor relations and treasury. He was most recently Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Apria Healthcare Group, Inc., a provider of home healthcare services through more than 500 branches in 50 states. He previously served as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of laboratory equipment manufacturer Beckman Coulter, Inc., and the Chief Financial Officer of the Agricultural Sector of Monsanto, a life sciences company. Mr. Khalifa served as Senior Vice President, Chief Financial Officer for Aetna Health Plans and as Senior Vice President, Strategy and Investor Relations for Aetna, Inc. and received his early financial training at PepsiCo, Inc. where he held a succession of senior financial management and operating positions in both U.S. and international assignments. Mr. Khalifa graduated from Lehigh University with both a Bachelor of Science in industrial engineering and a Master of Business Administration in finance. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for PetSmart, Inc., is a member of the University of California at Irvine Corporate Partners Advisory Council and is a member of the Board of Directors of Project Tomorrow.

Born 1960 Jeffery W. Yabuki, President and Chief Executive Officer of Fiserv, Inc. With more than 20 years in the financial services industry, Mr. Yabuki joined Fiserv and its Board of Directors in 2005.

Joseph S. Hardin , Jr., age 61, has been a Director of PetSmart since September 2005. From 1997 until his retirement in 2001, Mr. Hardin was President and Chief Executive Officer of Kinko s, Inc. From 1986 to April 1997 he served in several executive positions in increasing responsibility at Wal-Mart Stores, Inc., ultimately as Executive Vice President and as President and Chief Executive Officer of SAM s Club, the wholesale division of Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. Mr. Hardin serves on the boards of American Greetings Corporation and Dean Foods Company.

Rakesh Gangwal, age 54, has been a Director of PetSmart since December 2005. From June 2003 until August 2007, Mr. Gangwal served as Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of Worldspan Technologies Inc., a provider of travel technology and information services to the travel and transportation industry. From 2002 to 2003, he was involved in various personal business endeavors, including private equity projects and consulting projects. From 1998 to 2001, he served as Chief Executive Officer and President of US Airways Group, Inc. and US Airways, Inc., and from 1996 to 1998, Mr. Gangwal was the President and Chief Operating Officer of US Airways Group. On August 11, 2002, US Airways Group, Inc., and its seven domestic subsidiaries, including its principal operating subsidiary, US Airways, Inc., filed voluntary petitions for relief under Chapter 11 of the United States Bankruptcy Code. US Airways Group, Inc., and its subsidiaries emerged from bankruptcy protection under a reorganization plan, which became effective on March 31, 2003. Mr. Gangwal serves on the board of OfficeMax Incorporated.

Walter Salmon, Board Member and Academic Affiliate for 4R Systems, is the Stanley Roth Sr. Professor of Retailing, Emeritus, at the Harvard University Graduate School of Business Administration. He has been a member of the Harvard Business School faculty since 1956. He earned his BBA from the City College of New York and his MBA and DBA from the Harvard Business School. Professor Salmon's major fields are Consumer Marketing and Retail Distribution. His current research concerns trends in distribution and issues of organization, logistics and information systems in retailing. He currently serves on the boards of 4R Systems, Inc., Circuit City Stores, Inc., Cole National Corporation, Hannaford Bros. Co., Harrah's Entertainment, Inc., Luby's Cafeterias, Inc., The Neiman Marcus Group, PETsMART, Inc., and The Quaker Oats Company.
