Robert W. Duggan has been a member of our Board of Directors since our acquisition of Computer Motion in June 2003. Prior to our acquisition of Computer Motion, Mr. Duggan had been Chairman of the Board of Directors of Computer Motion since 1990 and Chief Executive Officer since 1997. Mr. Duggan is currently the CEO and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Pharmacyclics, a pharmaceutical company that focuses on the treatment of cancer and immune-mediated diseases. Mr. Duggan has been a member of the Board of Directors at Pharmacyclics since September 2007. Mr. Duggan is the Founder of the investment firm Robert W. Duggan & Associates. Mr. Duggan has been a private venture investor for more than 30 years and has participated as a director of, investor in and advisor to numerous small and large businesses in the medical equipment, computer local and wide area network, PC hardware and software distribution, digital encryption, consumer retail goods and outdoor media communication industries. Mr. Duggan has also assisted in corporate planning, capital formation and management for his various investments. He received the Congressman s Medal of Merit and in 2000 he was named a Knight of the Legion of Honor by President Jacques Chirac. He is a member of the University of California at Santa Barbara Foundation Board of Trustees.

Dr. Hamdy most recently served as Therapeutic Area Head at Elan Pharmaceuticals responsible for gastroenterology and autoimmune clinical development. Dr Hamdy's experience ranges across all clinical development phases. He has a track record of delivering a number of INDs and NDAs . In the past, Dr Hamdy was responsible for multiple clinical trials where he authored and oversaw the development of multiple clinical development plans, protocols and study reports in numerous therapeutic areas (oncology, urology, autoimmune, anemia, pain and cardiovascular).Dr. Hamdy has also served as the General Medicine Therapeutic Area Head at PDL BioPharma from February 2006 to June 2008, where he was responsible for the clinical development activities for Cardene IV(r) premixed bag formulations, which was approved in 2008 and the development of Ularitide(r) for the treatment of congestive heart failure. From September 2004 to February 2006, Dr. Hamdy was a medical director at Johnson and Johnson/ALZA where he participated in NDA submissions for OROS Hydromorphone (Jurnista(r)) for moderate to severe pain approved in Europe 2006. From October 2000 to August 2004, Dr. Hamdy was a Senior Principal Scientist at Watson Pharmaceuticals where he participated in an ANDA for testosterone gel for the treatment of hypogonadism that was approved 2005. He also participated in multiple INDs in oncology and autoimmune diseases leading to successful phase I and phase II programs. Dr Hamdy received his M.D. (M.B.B.Ch) from Cairo University, Egypt.

Joseph J. Buggy, Ph.D. has served as Vice President, Research since September 2007. From May 2006 to August 2007, Dr. Buggy served as Senior Director, Cancer Biology. From November 2001 to April 2006, he served as Director, Department of Biology at Celera Genomics, a biotechnology company. From June 1996 to October 2001, he was a staff scientist at AXYS Pharmaceuticals, Inc., a biotechnology company. Prior to that Dr. Buggy worked as a scientist at Bayer Corporation in West Haven, CT. Dr. Buggy received a Ph.D. in Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology from Indiana University and a B.S. degree in Microbiology from the University of Pittsburgh.
Maky Zanganeh joined Pharmacyclics as Vice President, Business Development and Marketing in August 2008. From September 2003 to August 2008, Dr. Zanganeh served as Vice President of Business Development for Robert Duggan & Associates. While working with Mr. Duggan, she accepted a position as Director General (2007-2008) for the French government initiative biocluster project in France. Prior to joining Duggan & Associates, Dr. Zanganeh was worldwide Vice President of Training & Education (2002-2003) and President Director General for Europe, Middle east and Africa (1998 - 2002) for Computer Motion Inc., the world initiator of medical robotics. Dr. Zanganeh received a DDS degree from Louis Pasteur University in Strasbourg, France and MBA from Schiller International University in France. She is fluent in French, German, Persian & English.

Patrick F. Latterell has served on our Board since July 2002. Mr. Latterell is the founder of Latterell Venture Partners, a venture capital firm, and has served as the Managing Member of its general partner entities since 2001. Prior to forming Latterell Venture Partners, Mr. Latterell was a General Partner at Venrock Associates, which he joined in 1989. Mr. Latterell served as Chairman of the National Venture Capital Association Medical Industry Group in 2003 and 2004, and also serves on the boards of several privately-held medical device companies. Mr. Latterell holds an S.B. in Biological Sciences and an S.B. in Economics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and an M.B.A. from Stanford University.

Born in Chicago, Illinois in 1942, Dr. Rickles received his medical degree from the University of Illinois and did postgraduate training in internal medicine and hematology at the University of Rochester School of Medicine, Strong Memorial Hospital, Rochester, NY. He served in the US Army and was Director of the Hemostasis and Thrombosis Research Laboratory at the Walter Reed Army Institute of Research from 1971-1974. Dr. Rickles joined the faculty of the University of Connecticut School of Medicine in 1974, where he became Professor of Medicine and Laboratory Medicine and served as Chief, Hematology-Oncology Division of the Department of Medicine from 1984-1993. He was awarded the Physicians Health Services/American Red Cross Chair in Transfusion Medicine by the University of Connecticut and served also as Chief of Hematology-Oncology at the affiliated Veterans Administration Medical Center. In 1993, Dr. Rickles became the Deputy Chief, Division of Hematologic Diseases at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Professor of Medicine and Pediatrics at Emory University and Director of the Emory University Comprehensive Hemophilia and Thrombosis Center, all in Atlanta, GA. In 1998, Dr. Rickles became Professor of Medicine and Associate Vice President for Health Research at The George Washington University Medical Center, a position he held until 2003, when he assumed the role as Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director of the Federation of American Societies for Experimental Biology (FASEB). In 2006, Dr. Rickles joined the Healthcare group of Mitretek Systems, now Noblis, a non-profit technology and science company working on national problems in the public interest (e.g. assisting the Department of Defense develop an integrated research initiative in research of traumatic brain injury and psychological health). From 2007-2008, he served as the Chief Scientific Officer of Othera Pharmaceuticals, directing the development of tissue factor inhibitors for cancer therapy. He continues on the faculty of The George Washington University as a Professor of Medicine, Pediatrics and Pharmacology and Physiology, as an attending physician at the GWU Hospital and as a practicing physician in the Medical Faculty Associates at The George Washington University. He is a frequent speaker on symposia on Cancer and Thrombosis and is a member of a number of scientific advisory boards for companies interested in this problem. Dr. Rickles is an Editor of the book Cancer and Thrombosis and is the author of over 120 papers in refereed journals, 15 book chapters and 25 comprehensive reviews in his areas of interest, principally the molecular pathogenesis, epidemiology, prevention and treatment of thrombosis Close

Dr. Abbruzzese came to the University of Texas M. D. Anderson Cancer Center in 1986 and is currently Professor of Medicine and Chairman of the Department of Gastrointestinal Oncology and Digestive Diseases. A Fellow of the Royal Society of Medicine and a Fellow of the American College of Physicians, Dr. Abbruzzese is one of the foremost clinicians and researchers in gastrointestinal cancer. He is a principal investigator or co-investigator of many grant programs, has contributed to 18 professional books, and has written numerous articles including 82 for peer-reviewed journals. Dr. Abbruzzese is co-editor of the book Methods in Molecular Medicine --- Pancreatic Cancer , which is expected to be released at the end of this year. Dr. Abbruzzese is an honors graduate of the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine. He completed his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at the Johns Hopkins Hospital and a Fellowship in Medical Oncology at the Dana-Farber Cancer Center, Harvard Medical School. His interests and work in pancreatic cancer range from studies of the biology of the disease to identification and testing of novel therapies.

Mark C. Genovese, MD, is an associate professor of medicine and Co-Chief of the Division of Immunology and Rheumatology at Stanford University Medical Center. He received his bachelor's degree from the University of Notre Dame and his medical degree from the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. He completed an internship, residency, and chief residency in the Department of Medicine at Stanford University. He remained at Stanford as a postdoctoral fellow in the Division of Immunology and Rheumatology and subsequently joined the faculty in the same division. He is the clinic chief and directs the Immunology and Rheumatology fellowship program. Dr. Genovese has established a clinical research program that is focused on bench-to-bedside translational medicine in autoimmune diseases. He has designed and participated in many investigator-initiated studies and multi-center trials investigating novel therapies and therapeutic strategies for the treatment of autoimmune disease and arthritis. In addition, he collaborates with several other investigators on studies of biomarkers, chemokines, cytokines, and cell surface markers associated with disease progression and response to therapy. Dr. Genovese is also the Director of the Center for Clinical Investigation in the Stanford Department of Medicine. Since joining the faculty at Stanford, Dr. Genovese has served as an editor for the textbook Primary Care Rheumatology and as an associate editor for Kelley's Essentials of Internal Medicine. He is also an editor on the 7th edition of Kelley's Textbook of Rheumatology. Dr. Genovese is an ad hoc reviewer for numerous medical journals, a board member of the Stanford General Clinical Research Center, and he was the recipient of a Center of Immunology at Stanford clinical scholars' award.

Miles Gilburne is currently a managing member of ZG Ventures, LLC. He has been active for more than 25 years as a venture capitalist, corporate strategist and technology lawyer in the media, communications and technology industries. In addition to his activities in media and information technology, Mr. Gilburne actively pursues venture capital activities in the life sciences and bioinformatics. Mr. Gilburne served for five years as senior vice president of Corporate Development for America Online, stepping down from those duties in December 1999. At AOL, Mr. Gilburne was responsible for strategic planning and for major corporate acquisitions, joint ventures and alliances. He was elected to the Board of Directors of AOL in 1999 and continued to serve on the Board of Directors of Time Warner until stepping down in May 2006. Prior to joining AOL, Mr. Gilburne was a founding partner of The Cole Gilburne Fund, an early stage venture capital fund focused on information and communications technology and a founding partner of technology and media law firms in both San Francisco and Los Angeles. Mr. Gilburne is currently a member of the Board of Directors of SRA International, Inc., a publicly traded government services company, Pharmacyclics, a publicly traded pharmaceutical company focused on new treatments for cancer and inflammatory disease, and Maui Land & Pineapple, a publicly traded real estate and agriculture company. Mr. Gilburne is also a founding investor and member of the board of several privately held venture capital backed companies, including Revolution Health Group, a privately held company focused on various aspects of consumer driven health care, and ePals, a global community of online learners. Mr. Gilburne is a member of the Board of Trustees of The Washington Shakespeare Theatre, the ePals Foundation and the Foundation for the National Institutes of Health. He received an A.B. from Princeton University and a J.D. from Harvard Law School.

Dr. Johnson joins Callisto after an extensive career in the area of cancer drug development. With over 30 years of experience in government and industry in cancer drug discovery and development, Dr. Johnson is also a co-author on 200 scientific papers and an inventor on 14 issued U.S. patents. During his 20 year career at SmithKline Beecham Pharmaceuticals (eventually GlaxoSmithKline), Dr. Johnson headed the cancer drug discovery effort and also was responsible for setting up centralized high throughput screening. Dr. Johnson was responsible for the discovery and development of topotecan, which has been marketed worldwide for the treatment of ovarian and lung cancers. He is currently an independent consultant in oncology and has, in the past 3 years, provided advice and guidance to over 60 clients in the venture capital, biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries. Dr. Johnson is a member of the Scientific Advisory Boards of seven biotechnology companies in the U.S., Europe and Asia.
William R. Rohn has served on our Board of Directors since December 2004. From April 2005 until March 2006, Mr. Rohn served as interim Chief Executive Officer and Vice Chairman of the Board of Raven Biotechnologies, a private biotechnology company for which he currently serves as a director. In January 2005, Mr. Rohn retired from Biogen Idec Inc., where he had served as Chief Operating Officer since the merger of IDEC Pharmaceuticals Inc. and Biogen, Inc. in November 2003. Mr. Rohn joined IDEC in August 1993 as Senior Vice President, Commercial and Corporate Development, was appointed Senior Vice President, Commercial Operations in April 1996 and was promoted to Chief Operating Officer in May 1998 and President in January 2002. Prior to joining IDEC, Mr. Rohn was employed by Adria Laboratories from 1984 until 1993, most recently as Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing. Prior to Adria, Mr. Rohn held marketing and sales management positions at Abbott Laboratories, Warren-Teed Pharmaceuticals, Miles Laboratories and Mead Johnson Laboratories. Mr. Rohn serves on the Board of Directors of Cerus Corporation, a publicly-held biotechnology company, and Pharmacyclics, Inc. and Elan Corporation plc, publicly-held pharmaceutical companies. Mr. Rohn received a B.A. in Marketing from Michigan State University.
