The company produces 31 million tons annually, sold mostly to the auto and shipbuilding industries. It makes plate steel, stainless steel, electrical steel, and wire rods. Its stainless steel products are sold to buyers in the chemical, paper mills, aviation, automobile, construction, and food processing industries. The company has annual revenue of about $27.3 billion and employs about 28,853 people. Among the awards the company received in 2005 were Business Week's ranking of No. 6 on the list of The Best Asian Performers and Forbes' selection as One of Asia's Fab 50 Companies.
