Dow Jones Description

For over 20 years, PPT VISION has developed innovative machine vision technologies for in-line automated inspection. Now PPT VISION has introduced the industry's first intelligent camera family with all the features of a full-scale machine vision system - at a fraction of the cost. Inspection tools can be mixed and matched to create a custom inspection solution for the toughest industrial applications. As a bonus, IMPACT is supplied with a complete Human-Machine Interface (HMI) developer's suite for custom deployment on the plant floor and all this is all accomplished graphically, meaning that knowledge of complex programming languages is not required. Machine vision-based inspection systems enable manufacturers to realize significant economic paybacks by increasing the quality of manufactured parts and improving the productivity of manufacturing processes. PPT's 2D machine vision product line is sold on a global basis to end-users, system integrators, and original equipment manufacturers (OEM's) in the electronic and semiconductor component, automotive, medical device, pharmaceutical...
