PQ Systems began in 1980 as Productivity-Quality Associates. Initial efforts focused on training for statistical process control (SPC) and problem-solving tools such as fishbone diagrams. The first version of SQCpack, our popular, easy-to-use SPC software program, was developed in 1981, by Sean T. Cleary, Ph.D., of C.C.N.Y., to do basic control charts and histograms. The current version, SQCpack EZ, is one of the best-selling SPC software programs on the market. In 1984, the company incorporated as PQ Systems, Inc. To better serve our customers in Europe, we opened an office in the UK in 1987. In 1989, Dr. Jackie Graham opened our Australian office.
