Prime Computer Systems' history dates back to 1985, when its founders formed Interactive Systems Technology (IST), a premier provider of computer technology solutions for light industrial applications. IST's mission was to "help its business customers identify and deploy affordable computer automated technologies that best served and streamlined their productions." Eleven years later, Prime Computer Systems, Inc. was established to carry on with the same tradition and basic philosophy, but broader scope of services, as demanded by today's standards. This fundamental mission, coupled with no-nonsense customer support, has allowed PCS to enjoy substantial growth, both in revenues and customer base. Due to its diversified scope of services, PCS has created two additional groups: "Prime Network Solutions" and "Cyberspace Programming Technology" (Cypro). This reorganization not only has helped PCS to better meet the needs of its customers, but it has also allowed PCS's personnel to be more technology focused and project oriented in their respective areas.
