Before coming to Proofpoint, Mr. DePaolis was the vice president of Engineering, Applications, and Operations at Webraska (formerly AirFlash, Inc.), the leading provider of location-based software and solutions, including services targeted at wireless mobile users and geospatial mapping and routing engines. Prior to AirFlash, Mr. DePaolis was with Netscape Communications/AOL, where he was technical director of Messaging and Collaboration for iPlanet E-Commerce Solutions, a Sun/Netscape alliance. Previously, Mr. DePaolis held senior architect and engineering management positions at ISOCOR; the leading supplier of Internet messaging, meta-directory software solutions, and at Quarterdeck Office Systems; developing some of the earliest consumer Internet browsers and utilities. Earlier in his career, Mr. DePaolis co-founded and held the position of CEO of Pittsburgh Powercomputing Corporation, a company that specialized in fast X Window System servers and other graphics software. Mr. DePaolis holds a triple major B.S. degree in electrical, computer, and biomedical engineering from Carnegie Mellon University.

Bill’s focus is on leading the LinkedIn Engineering organization. He brings over twenty years of software engineering experience to LinkedIn. In one of his previous roles, Bill served as the Vice President of Engineering for E-LOAN (Nasdaq: EELN) where he drove development of the popular financial website from its initial concept through initial public offering. During his tenure at E-LOAN, Bill was named one of the "10 Hottest CIO's" by American Banker Magazine. Bill has also served as the Vice President of Engineering at Proofpoint, Redline Networks (acquired by Juniper) and Network Computing Devices (Nasdaq: NCDI). He has also held development and management positions at Sun Microsystems and IBM. Bill holds a BS in Computer Science from Texas A&M University.

Matthew J. Szulik was elected Chairman of the Board of Directors in April 2002, and he has served as Chief Executive Officer since November 1999, as President since November 1998 and as a director since April 1999. Mr. Szulik also served as Chief Operating Officer from November 1998 to April 1999. From September 1997 to October 1998, Mr. Szulik served as President of Relativity Technologies, a computer software company. Prior to joining Relativity Technologies, Mr. Szulik served as an executive with Sapiens International and MapInfo Corp. Mr. Szulik is also a director of Tibco Software Inc. (NASDAQ:TIBX).

Ralph Lentz has more than 20 years of experience in enterprise technology sales. Ralph served as Vice President of Worldwide Sales at Macrovision, a leading digital rights management vendor, playing a key role in their growth to over $200 million during his tenure. He also served in increasing roles of responsibility for more than 10 years at Computer Associates International, Inc., a $4 billion IT Management software and services company where his most recent role was as vice president in the InterBiz Division. Ralph holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications from Stanford University.

Rob provides advisory services to WCG primarily in the area of Financing and Business Strategy. Rob is currently a Vice President at the Venture Capital firm Meritech Capital Partners. Rob Ward joined Meritech Capital Partners from Montgomery Securities where he was a Vice President in the Private Equity Placement Group raising late stage capital for private information technology companies. Representative clients included CitySearch, CommQuest Technologies, Creo Products, Packet Engines, TASQ Technologies, Vastera, Vivid Semiconductor and Vixel Corporation. Prior to joining Montgomery, Rob was with Smith Barney, where he spent five years in the Corporate Finance Department in New York and San Francisco. Rob received a B.A. from Williams College and a M.S. from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
