(NYSE: PUB (ADR); Euronext Paris: FR0000130577 ) is the second largest advertising and fourth largest media services companies in the world. It provides services such as creative advertising, media and campaign planning, marketing, and public relations. Some of its brands are Leo Burnett, Publicis, and Saatchi & Saatchi, and its clients include Coca-Cola, Hewlett-Packard, Procter & Gamble. Founded in 1926 and based in Paris, France, this A4,1 billion company employs about 36,000 people. In fiscal 2005 additions to the company included eventive, the leader in event communications in Austria and Germany, which is joining Publicis Events Worldwide; Solutions, the number-one marketing service agency in India; and PharmaConsult, a leader for healthcare communications in Spain. Acquisitions also included a majority interest in Freud Communications, a leading public relations agency in the UK. In April 2006 the company acquired an additional 21% stake, raising the total to 51%, in Capital MS&L, an international financial communications firm. .
