Bob Piacenza is director of administrative services for Purdue Pharma in Stamford, Connecticut. Bob is serving his third term on MetroPool's Board. Phyllis Clark, M.A. is the Project Director at ARC and is responsible for the planning and oversight of Phase I-IV clinical research trials to ensure that projects are completed in accordance with the scope, quality, and timelines of the contract. Ms. Clark also manages and directs the activities of the clinical team. Ms. Clark has over 27 years of experience in the pharmaceutical, medical device, and contract research industry. Prior to joining ARC, Ms. Clark was a Project Manager with SCIREX Corporation (now Premier Research) where she managed all clinical aspects of two osteoarthritis trials including the oversight of cross-functional project teams. Ms. Clark also has four years of experience as a CRA Manager at Purdue Pharma, L.P. where she was responsible for the clinical activities of Phase IV studies involving Schedule II medications for pain management. During her tenure at Purdue Pharma, Ms. Clark also worked on a new chemical entity for Type II diabetes mellitus and was one of the key personnel responsible for protocol and CRF design including the writing and submission of the IND. Before her time at Purdue Pharma, Ms. Clark spent eight years in the medical device industry as a manager and Senior CRA at Sherwood/Davis & Geck (now TYCO International) and Cordis/Johnson & Johnson working in several therapeutic surgical areas including Phase I animal studies and Phase II and III surgical studies (general/CV/plastic/oncology/colorectal/orthopedic/arthroscopic/wound healing/stent radiation). Ms. Clark started her career at Wyeth where she worked for over six years as a CRA in several therapeutic areas including Anti-Infectives, Cardiovascular, and Central Nervous System. She then spent nearly three years at Boehringer Ingelheim as a CRA Manager and Senior CRA working on a novel monoclonal antibody for ischemic stroke. Ms. Clark's cumulative work at Wyeth, Sherwood/Davis & Geck, and Purdue Pharma, L.P. led to the successful filing of three NDAs, five IDEs, eight 510(k)s, one IND, and two supplemental INDs. Ms. Clark received her M.A. in Psychology from Long Island University and her B.A. from SUNY-Buffalo. She is an active member in the DIA and ACRP organizations.

David obtained his honours B.Sc. in Biological Science from the University of Guelph and is currently finishing his MBA at the University of Toronto. David has held various positions in Quality, Operations and Research and Development in his fifteen year career. David began as a Chemist with SmithKiline Beecham in 1990. He then moved to what was then Nu-Pharm as an Analytical Chemist in R&D and was part of the validation and start up efforts of the new facility in Richmond Hill.
