Purina Mills LLC

Dr. Gordon Ballam is the Companion Animal Group Director, where he leads Purina Mills' overall marketing and research activities. With over twenty years experience with Purina Mills, Dr. Ballam has been instrumental in many of the nutritional feed programs Purina Mills distributes today. Dr. Ballam earned his Ph.D. from the University of Arkansas in animal nutrition.

Layne has been affiliated with Purina since the purchase of the Golden Sun brand in 1995. Held research, tech service and marketing positions and is currently Marketing Manager for Beef Business Group. Born in Oakland, NE. B.S. and M.S. in Animal Science from University of Nebraska.

Ted comes to us from Camp Point, Illinois. He has been in the feed industry for 10 years. During that time, he has held positions as Beef Formulation Nutritionist, Custom Formulation Supervisor and Beef Feed Nutritionist. Ted is currently the Beef Technical Services Manager. Prior to coming to the feed industry, Ted was the Beef Extension and Research Specialist at Cornell University.

Born and raised in St. Louis, MO, Pat has been with the company since August 1987. She has served as Administrative Assistant in Health Products, Horse and her current position with the Cattle Business Group. She earned her associates degree in applied science from St. Louis Community College at Florissant Valley. Purina and the Checkerboard are used by Land O' Lakes Purina Feed LLC., under license only in the United States and its territories (including Puerto Rico).

Rodney G. Muilenburg Member of the Board of Directors for Meta Financial Group, MetaBank, and MetaBank West Central. Mr. Muilenberg is a retired dairy specialist with Purina Mills, Inc. He is currently a consultant for TransOva Genetics Diary Division. Mr. Muilenberg received a B.A. degree in Biological Science from Northwestern College, Orange City, Iowa; M.A. degree in secondary school education from Mankato State University, Mankato, Minnesota; and a Specialist degree in secondary school administration from Mankato State University, Mankato, Minnesota. Board committees: Chairman of Stock Option Committee, member of Compensation and MetaBank Executive Loan Committees.

Tracy Wheeler is the Marketing Coordinator of the Companion Animal Group. Tracy originally started in the Purchasing Group, where she helped purchase and coordinate commodities. Today, Tracy is instrumental in the day-to-day operations of our branded "backyard" chicken business. She coordinates the "behind the scenes" functions for our dealers Chick Day events, consumer contests and dealer support. Tracy has been with the company for 16 years.
