Rackable Systems

Mark Barrenechea joined Rackable Systems in November 2006 as a member of our board of directors, and in April 2007 became our President and Chief Executive Officer. Previously, Mr. Barrenechea served as Executive Vice President and CTO for CA, Inc. ( CA ), (formerly Computer Associates International, Inc.), a software company, from 2003 to 2006 and was a member of the executive management team. Prior to CA, Mr. Barrenechea served as Senior Vice President of Applications Development at Oracle Corporation, an enterprise software company, from 1997 to 2003, managing a multi-thousand person global team while serving as a member of the executive management team. From 1994 to 1997, Mr. Barrenechea served as Vice President of Development at Scopus, an applications company. Prior to Scopus, Mr. Barrenechea was with Tesseract, an applications company, where he was responsible for reshaping the company s line of human capital management software as Vice President of Development. Mr. Barrenechea holds a Bachelor of Science degree in computer science from Saint Michael s College.

Giovanni Coglitore – Senior Vice President & Chief Products Officer Giovanni leads SGI's engineering activities and is the company's chief visionary for new product development. Giovanni is responsible for overall product direction, including coordination of product vision, product design and development, quality, engineering and product management. A founder of Rackable Systems, Giovanni led the development of many of Rackable's key innovations, including the half-depth form factor and "back-to-back" mounting design, and most recently the company's award-winning DC Power technology, Scale Out Server Series and C2002. Prior to SGI, Giovanni was a co-founder and General Partner of International Computing Systems (ICS). He holds a BA from the University of California at Los Angeles.

Jim has a long history of executive and financial leadership within prominent public and private technology organizations. In his previous position at Lam Research, Wheat was responsible for managing compliance with accounting policies, SEC reporting, and the administration of the company's internal audit function for this highly profitable, international semiconductor equipment manufacturing company with more than $2 billion in revenues. Jim also held senior financial management positions within a number of public technology companies, including the role of acting principal financial officer at Asyst Technology, senior director of finance at Sybase Inc., and vice president and corporate controller at Sunterra Corporation. In addition, Jim held senior finance positions at TeleVideo, Raychem Corporation, Core-Mark International, Spectra-Physics and Honeywell. Jim earned his MBA at The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and his BBA at the University of Michigan.

Tony brings more than two decades of technology operations and leadership, and has held senior management and operations roles at CA (NYSE: CA), Oracle Corporation (NASDAQ: ORCL) and J.D. Edwards/PeopleSoft. In his role as Senior Vice President of Business Development and Strategy, Tony will orchestrate the role of expanding the company's strategic relationships and third party solutions. Tony formerly served as Senior Vice President and General Manager for CA's award-winning Unicenter product line, and was Vice President of EnterpriseOne ERP at J.D. Edwards/PeopleSoft where he held P&L responsibility for the EnterpriseOne ERP product. He began his career at Oracle Corporation, developing products for a broad spectrum of market segments including CRM, media (digital assets), product lifecycle management and manufacturing.

David brings extensive experience in manufacturing, customer service and operations to the Rackable Systems team. He has held key management roles at a variety of rapid-growth organizations, including Aspect Communications and Pittiglio, Rabin, Todd and McGrath (PRTM), a leading operational strategy, manufacturing and customer experience provider. Most recently, David was Vice President of Customer Operations at SS8 Networks. He has also served in executive positions at Kestrel Solutions, GoDigital Networks and Aspect Communications, where he implemented new programs and processes which dramatically improved customer satisfaction, productivity and supply chain efficiencies. David holds M.S. and B.S. degrees from Stanford University.

Diane is responsible for SGI's global information technology, supply chain, and manufacturing operations. With more than 20 years in high performance computing, Diane is a leader with an innovative approach and unique blend of experience. Prior SGI leadership posts include treasury, corporate development, and supply chain management. She has managed acquisitions and divestitures, established relationships with strategic partners, secured financing, driven global sourcing strategies, and optimized the efficiency of complex operations. Previously, Diane held positions at Cray Research, Convex Computer Corporation, Control Data, and 3M. Her roles spanned software development, benchmarking, systems engineering and marketing. She has served on advisory boards for various universities and the Minnesota state government. Diane holds a B.S. in Geophysics, M.S. in Computer Science, and M.B.A with a Finance concentration. She was a Chevron Fellow, and Microelectronics and Information Sciences Fellow at the University of Minnesota.

Jennifer has worldwide responsibility for all Human Resources activities including compensation, benefits, stock administration, recruitment and facilities, and serves as a liaison with Legal. Jennifer has over 20 years HR experience and brings strategic expertise to all aspects of HR management, including partnering with the executive team on the design and implementation of strategic change. Prior to joining Rackable Systems, Jennifer held senior management positions in a variety of industries including technology, manufacturing and healthcare. Jennifer holds a B.S in Business Administration from Morningside College, Sioux City, Iowa.

Maurice Leibenstern joined Rackable Systems in September 2007 as General Counsel and Senior Vice President and Corporate Secretary. Mr. Leibenstern brings more than 20 years of high tech legal experience to Rackable Systems. Most recently, he was at CA, Inc. from 1998 to 2007, as the Chief Legal Counsel for Worldwide Sales, while serving as a Senior Vice President and member of the company s Senior Leadership Team. Prior to CA, Mr. Leibenstern worked at IBM, a computer hardware and software company, from 1992 to 1997. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in History from Brooklyn College of the City University of New York and a J.D. from New York University School of Law.

Anthony Carrozza joined Rackable in March 2008. In his role as Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Mr. Carrozza is responsible for Rackable Systems product sales for both direct and in-direct customers on a worldwide basis. Mr. Carrozza brings more than twenty five years of worldwide sales experience in the technology sector. Prior to joining Rackable, Mr. Carrozza was with Neterion, Inc., a company that designed and manufactured 10GB Ethernet ASIC s from 2006 to 2008, where he was vice president, sales. Mr. Carrozza formerly served with Quantum Corporation, a manufacturer of storage systems, from 1987 to 2006. When Mr. Carrozza left Quantum, he held the title of senior vice president, worldwide sales and was a member of the executive management team. Mr. Carrozza holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science from Iona College.

Dominic has fifteen years of IT experience in fast-paced high tech environments, with deep technical knowledge in the areas of servers, storage, networking, and enterprise applications. Prior to joining Rackable Systems, Dominic served as Director of IT Infrastructure at Juniper Networks. At Juniper, he held global responsibility for the company's networking, servers and storage infrastructure. Dominic holds a BA from UC Santa Cruz.

As the vice president of marketing, George is responsible for worldwide outbound marketing functions at Rackable Systems. In that function, he oversees all product marketing, demand generation, partner marketing, telemarketing and public relations. George has 25 years of progressive experience in the computer industry, and has demonstrated a proven business expertise in general management, marketing, sales, operations and strategic partnerships for various size companies in high technology and services areas, in both the domestic and international markets. Prior to joining Rackable Systems, George worked as the vice president of worldwide marketing at Wyse Technology. Before joining Wyse, he held vice president of marketing positions at NEC Computer and DocuMagix. George also served as president and general manager of Avatar Peripherals and spent seven years at Logitech in a variety of marketing roles. He began his career at Unisys in customer support and systems engineering. George received both a degree in electrical engineering and his MBA from the American University of Beirut.

Jonathan J. Skoglund joined Rackable Systems in November 2008 as our Vice President, Corporate Controller and Principal Accounting Officer. Mr. Skoglund brings more than 15 years of high-growth public company experience to Rackable Systems. From 2003 to 2008 Mr. Skoglund served as the Corporate Controller at Intuitive Surgical, a publicly traded company engaged in the design, manufacture and marketing of robotic surgical systems. Mr. Skoglund held the Corporate Controller position with Sipex Corporation a semiconductor company in 2003 and various senior finance positions with Cable and Wireless (formerly Exodus Communications, Inc.) from 1999 to 2003. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business and Economics from the University of California, Santa Barbara and a Masters of Business Administration from Santa Clara University. Mr. Skoglund is a Certified Public Accountant in California.

Bob Pette is leading SGI's Visualization Group, providing the vision, design, strategy and direction for all SGI's visualization products and solutions, including the newly released VUE suite of software. The VUE suite of software provides innovative solutions that help high-performance organizations consolidate and maximize their compute and visualization resources to manage the rapidly growing digital universe, anytime, anyplace and on any device. In his 21-year career at SGI, Bob has held positions in Systems Engineering, Application and Solutions Development, Customer Benchmarking, Customer Services, Services/Sales Operations and Corporate Marketing. As vice president of SGI Global Services, Bob expanded the SGI's visualization practice via the design, development and implementation of Reality Center environments, simulators, CAVE installations, and immersive auditoriums for industries ranging from aerospace design, defense and intelligence sectors to energy exploration. Bob received his B.S. in Aerospace Engineering from Georgia Tech and his B.S. in Mathematics from the University of Tampa.

Bill Garvey has over 10 years of legal experience in various high tech industries. Bill joined Actuate in 1994 as the company's first General Counsel and has served as General Counsel and Vice President, Corporate Development since 2002. Prior to joining Actuate, Bill was an associate at the law firm of Brobeck, Phleger & Harrison where he represented a number of private and public high tech companies and completed numerous mergers and acquisitions, IPOs and venture capital transactions. Earlier in his career, he was an aviation officer in the United States Army. Bill holds a B.S. in Applied Science and Engineering from the United States Military Academy and a J.D. from Stanford Law School.

Douglas R. King joined Rackable Systems as a board member in February 2008. Mr. King is a Certified Public Accountant with more than 30 years of experience in the accounting industry. He most recently served as the Managing Partner of the San Francisco office of Ernst & Young LLP. His career experience with the firm includes significant client and operational responsibilities across the Pacific Northwest region. Douglas has a Bachelor of Science from the University of Wisconsin (Madison) and an MBA from the University of Arkansas. In addition to Rackable Systems, Mr. King currently serves on the Board of Directors of SJW Corp as Chairman of the Audit Committee and member of the Governance and Nomination Committee; of Fuel Systems Solutions, Inc. as Chairman of the Audit Committee and a member of its Governance Committee; and of the private company Adaptive Spectrum and Signal Alignment, Inc. ("ASSIA").

Array

Ronald D. Verdoorn joined Rackable Systems as a director in March 2005. From January 1999 to 2002, Mr. Verdoorn served as Executive Vice President of Global Operations for Affymetrix, Inc., a company specializing in the development of technology for acquiring and managing complex genetic information for use in biomedical research, genomics and clinical diagnostics, following which he continued as a consultant until December 2003. From 1997 to 1999, Mr. Verdoorn served as an independent consultant to the hard disk drive industry. From 1983 to 1997, Mr. Verdoorn held a number of positions with Seagate Technology, Inc., most recently as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Storage Products. Mr. Verdoorn has a B.A. in Sociology from Linfield College.

General Michael W. Hagee joined Rackable Systems as a board member in February 2008. General Hagee was previously a member of the Joint Chiefs of Staff as the 33rd Commandant of the United States Marine Corps. Prior to that, he was the Commanding General of the 1st Marine Expeditionary Force. General Hagee retired from the Marine Corps in January, 2007. In total, General Hagee served in the U.S. military for more than 43 years. General Hagee holds numerous military, civilian, and foreign decorations, including the Bronze Star with Valor, National Intelligence Distinguished Service Medal, and Defense Distinguished Service Medal. General Hagee graduated with distinction from the U.S. Naval Academy in 1968 with a Bachelor of Science in Engineering. He also holds a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from the U.S. Naval Postgraduate School and a Master of Arts in National Security and Strategic Studies from the Naval War College.
